Cork have been in poor form recently compared to how they started the league campaign. Their away form in the league is still good but they have lost games recently they should of won, most notably at home to Bohemians and Sligo. Shamrock are in great form at the moment having won their last 5 games in all competitions and having put Cork out of the League Cup thanks to a last minute goal in extra time. Given the odds I am going for a home win tonight.

I'm very loathed to get involved until I've seen 1 home and 1 away match ratings for all teams. Just such a vast difference with how well some play at home versus away and vice versa.

Let the tips do the talking, not the cheap chat! Speaking of which, Sajtion makes a great point. Petersson1984, don't just be negative about other people's tips without posting your own to counter. You just look like a troll otherwise and trolls don't do well around these parts.

If we all pulled each other every week on our tips we'do be falling out all over the place. Let's just enjoy our punting and if we nail the bookies then all the better. No one is right and no one is wrong. Anyone trying to make a living out of this game is in for rough ride.

My preview of games involving Slovak teams: Dacia Chisinau – MŠK Žilina After 6 years, these two clubs are meeting once again in 2nd qualifying round of EL. Back then Žilina won 3-0 on agg and they are my favourites again. I don´t have enough knowledge of Dacia´s current situation, so any info would be much appreciated. Žilina and Tren?ín, who unfortunately failed in first game against Steaua on Tuesday, are playing best football at the moment in Slovakia, and with Tren?ín being almoust out of Europe, Žilina is my favourite to be the best Slovak club in European competitions this year. I really like the work which is Adrian Gula (coach of Žilina, former coach of Tren?ín) doing in there and this squad is very very promising in my opinion. They lacked experience a little bit last season, which may be the reason that they didn´t manage to win the Slovak league and were eliminated by Rijeka in 3rd QR of EL. But it shouldln´t be the same thing this year. It is almost the same squad, more experienced, stronger and strong enough to make it to the group stage in my opinion. I think that they did a good job in 1st round against Glentoran (4-1 away + 3-0 home) and they have all the skills to make a good result in Chisinau tonight. Žilina plays offensive football but it is 1st leg and I don´t like backing overs here, so as long as I think that Žilina won´t lose there, DNB might be a good option. Žilina DNB @1.80 Coral – high stakes Žilina to win @2.55 1xbet – medium stakes Slovan Bratislava – UC Dublin It seems that Slovan is getting better and better these days and they have finally found the way how they want to play. Last year were eliminated by BATE in Playoff round of CL, but their performance in group stage of EL was a big disaster (0 points, 1 goals scored) and Slovan was suddenly in the crisis. But now it looks to me as a little bit different story and with new summer signings – experienced goalkeeper Mucha or Hungarian striker Priskin – they must have the highest ambitions. It is true that today the miss offensive players like Meszaros or Soumah, but I´m sure that Slovan´s squad is large enough to adequately substitute these guys. They managed to score 6 goals away from home at Gibraltar, adding only 3 more in 2nd leg at home, probably because of lack of concentration or saving the energy. According to their manager, Slovan is happy to play against UCD because of their good record against teams from Ireland or teams with similar style. UCD made it surprisingly to the 2nd round through Dudelange and it seems (at least statistics say that) that they were really lucky to make it in the 2nd leg, facing 1 red card, 9 corner and 14 shots on the target. I have no intention to understimate them but I think that Slovan is capable of scoring 3 and more goals today, simply to decide to it before travelling to Dublin. Slovan Bratislava -2,5 @1.91 – high stakes Spartak Trnava – Linfield I think that this is the most difficult game of all these three matches involving Slovak clubs. Despite being a huge favourite, I wouldn´t put any single euro on Trnava today. Not only because their win at 1.36 doesn´t represent any value, but I simply don´t trust them these days and we might see a little surprise today. Home side didn´t impress me in the last round against Olimpik Sarajevo and were quite lucky to go through on away goals. Trnava´s finishing was horrible and their goalkepeer saved one-on-one in 87th minute (otherwise they would be probably out of competition). During the weekend Trnava also sold Jan Vlasko, one of the key men in the squad in my opinion, to Zaglebie Lubin, and despite buying Aldo Baez (from Slavia Prague), he wouldn´t be immediately a sufficient substitute. What is more, it seems that Trnava´s supporters (the best in Slovakia btw) don´t stand behind their coach anymore and they require some changes. So it might be very interesting to see if their support is going to weaken or not in next games, unfortunately I don´t know more information. I´m fully aware that Linfield is semi-professional club and there is quite big gap in quality between these two sides, but if I consider how many favourites (odds about 1.20) failed on Tuesday or Wednesaday (Ludogorets, Malmo, Dinamo Zagreb ..), I will be looking for a surprise tonight.
