Re: Drip Mk2 By the way this threads progress would stand up against any betting strategy/selections I've seen over the years (subscription based or free). To be ahead of an increasing bank target of 1%, day in day out is very impressive - period. If you are looking for a place to start with staking plans just copy this one; it has some flaws but its benefits far, far outweigh them. Good luck.:ok

Re: Drip Mk2 If your betting profits are pretty much breakeven with level stakes, better staking should put you in profit overall.

Re: Drip Mk2 Elsewhere (I think my figures are accurate) a laying strategy for horses, with a starting bank of £3,000 and lays of £30 ( a progessive weighted laying strategy) hit £100,000 in 365 days. Saying that, the growth in the final 6 weeks when the lays were big was immense. I've seen £1,000 turned into nearly £10,000 twice and separetely into £30,000. Discipline & Patience are everything (along with decent picks of course :lol ). Without them sooner or later you will crash in a heap. I'm convinced that 50% of losing punters could be at least breakeven if they had more discipline & didn't (a) get greedy (b) chase losses and © want to be a millionaire over-night.

Re: Drip Mk2 Great way to bounce right back .... 5-1 :clap

Re: Magners Celtic League Betting Thread 2006/7 That is excellent punting DAC by anyone's standards.

Re: Magners Celtic League Betting Thread 2006/7 So if you punted £10 on each match DAC whats your bank at now that was my question? Thanks, Rafa.

Re: Even total goals. 37% yield. 10 bets. Just a word of caution, some people in here have had problems with the above named bookie betandwin; I haven't, but it seems I may be one of the lucky ones.
-
Re: Even total goals. 37% yield. 10 bets. betandwin or www.bwin.com as they are known now offer this market on a huge amount of games BUT their odds are at 1.85 across all matches.

Re: Magners Celtic League Betting Thread 2006/7 Impressive results in a league where results can be a little all over the shop. What's your per unit return/ROI?
-
Re: Even total goals. 37% yield. 10 bets. Dutching is where you back several selections in the one market with weighted stakes whereby regardless which one of your selections comes in you win the same amount. Probably wouldn't work here as you'd miss potential winners with any scores of 3 or 4 on either side.
-
Re: Even total goals. 37% yield. 10 bets. For games where you don't have odds/evens markets have you considered looking at the correct score market? i.e. a dutching of 0-0, 2-0, 0-2, 1-1, 2-2 ?

Re: Drip Mk2 Very impressive to be above target using this system.

Re: The trek begins, From Week 1 On... Needed every point for Dallas, but its in, great call.

Re: The trek begins, From Week 1 On... Very solid pick, home & hosed after 6th.

Re: The trek begins, From Week 1 On... Very interesting thread. Tonights under walked in - nice.

Re: Manager Leaving Syndrome Am really impressed with this thread. Another spin-off angle would be to back the team in the first 1-2 games under their new manager.
-
Re: The Big 6 System I like this, backing the fav to do the business while covering a potential upset. I've done this over the years to get better odds than direct match odds and it can be a winner.

Re: Computer selected football draws system Would imagine the 1-1 at Chelsea should have been around the 6/1 or 7/1 mark?
-
Re: Computer selected football draws system Would you have been in profit if you'd backed scorelines of 0-0 & 1-1 across the same selections?

Re: Lay, Back and enjoy the show - football I layed them alright but not for big stakes; Bolton are one of those teams that can just spring a fantastic result from nowhere - last night was a case in point. I fancied them to get a draw with a real "fight for Big Sam" attitude but didn't expect the win. Portsmouth in fairness did enough to at least get the draw but thats football. A good result for you and well done. Part of me isn't too upset as they're playing my team, Liverpool, next and I'd prefer for them to have got the win last night rather than a loss as they'd be very dangerous for our visit.

Re: Manager Leaving Syndrome Just as a matter of interest David what would your results be if you layed the opposing team for the 15 games as opposed to backing the "manager-less" team.
-
Re: Lay, Back and enjoy the show... I have a concern about this; it doesn't factor in current team standards vs prior year standards i.e. take tonights game, Portsmouth 2006/2007 squad is much stonger, more settled and more confident than in previous years and one could say the opposite might apply for Bolton. I think its dangerous to use prior stats for team events such as this (& even generally given variances in form, fitness, focus etc etc) also, without taking into consideration present injuries & suspensions you are ignoring information that can & will have a direct impact on the game & result. Bolton would I'd have thought happily take a draw away tonight given both present squads and both starts to the league, Portsmouth will definitely be pushing for at least a draw; in previous this probably would have been reversed. With this in mind, I'll probably be laying Bolton. Good luck with this in any case :cheers .

Re: Profitable Lay System Ok, just a thought. Also, someone better than me would am sure be able to review the staking plan to increase profits with a unit or percentage unit lay stake depending on the price? A system that creates profits is the starting point, then the correct staking ensures maximium growth. I don't have sufficient experience to complete the same competantly enough but am sure some of the excel guru's on here would be able to increase the unit profits from the current set of results. I don't mean to hijack this exceptional thread & feel free to totally ignore the same - its just that in my limited view such a great system should be maximised while its peaking.

Re: Profitable Lay System Just as a matter of interest Danny have you "back"-reviewed the system as a "lay to place" one, I'm sure you'd be very well up also, and the lower lay odds would allow for an increased stake - possibly increasing your winnings overall. Just a thought.

Re: Drip Mk2 Good bounce back again. Doubling to gain back the previous loss is serving you well to-date.
