  1. Re: July 22 - July 28 Ryhne Williams to beat Lleyton Hewitt 3.75 32 Red (3/10 points) Williams served incredibly well against Kudla, so well, Kudla was only able to even conjur up any break points in the second second. it was ruthless serving from the young American and he seems really pumped up for this tourney. The hardcourts do suit the yank players with serves that bounce up and I feel Hewitt may have his work cut out trying to return the serves from the deuce court going outwide as his forehand has been getting progressively worse and inconsistent as the years have passed on. Williams also has a forehand which can be deadly and eys this may be a former multiple grandslam champion he's facing here and he may have the more experience but Williams has shown he is not afraid of the big occasion. Hewitt's game is essentially to grind and put player's under pressure with his return of serve, if Williams serves like he did yesterday Hewitt won't be able to short backswing and charge to the net to pressurise him and Williams has said he prefers clay, so grinding may not be a concern.

  2. Re: July 22 - July 28

It's possible but he went from Oct 2012 - Feb 2013 without a clay match and won his first game against Lorenzi 6-3 6-3. This was also the tournament in which in the next round he beat Traver 6-1 6-4 coincidentally.
Yeah, I was on 2-0 Wawa that day, I don't know, I just think Traver carries more trouble about his game, whereas Lorenzi just waits for the error, plus wasn't Wawa coming off his good run at the Australian Open and that mamoth match? Anyways, hope he does it for you.

2.5pts Gimeno-Traver Vs Wawrinka [under 20.5 games] 2.00 Bet365 These 2 played recently and Wawrinka won 6-1 / 6-4. He would only have to break once in each set and I think he can do that here. Gimeno-Traver is a decent player but I don't think he can match Wawrinka who is an excellent clay court player and who will probably make the final and possibly even win this event.
My only concern is he hasn't played on clay since the french open Fader, good luck.

3pts J.Monaco (-3.5 games) to beat Garcia-Lopez 1.80 Bet365 It's hard to tell which Monaco will turn up for this tournament, after Hamburg where he should of beat Almagro but I think he should win here in straight sets. Monaco may not have an incredible serve but his first serve % is still good. At Hamburg Vs Monfils (75%) Vs Paire (80%) and Almagro (82%) but not only this he is a great returner too getting 48% return points in those matches average. More over though Garcia-Lopez serve is pants. At Hamburg his first serve was 54% 44% 53% and in round 1 of this event 45%. Monaco's returning should show up this weakness.

  5. Re: July 22 - July 28 Andreas Beck to beat Cedrik Stebe 1.95 William Hill (8/10 points) Andreas Beck was a fully fledged member of the top 100 and then injury struck, since his comeback he's been doing relatively fine in tournamnets from recieving a few wild cards and what not. He is grinding his way back up the rankings. He's been able to play on all surfaces, including clay because of his kicking serve. He's very aggressively mobile and produces big serves, forehands at key moments in matches. In 2011 he was here making a run to the final. Final - Lost to (3)Daniel Brands (GER) 6-4 7-6(3) SemiFinal - Def. (7)Nikola Ciric (SRB) 7-6(5) 7-6(0) Quarter Final - Def. Jorge Aguilar (CHI) 6-4 6-3 Round of 16 - Def. Marius Copil (ROU) 7-5 6-4 Round of 32 - Def. Evgeny Donskoy (RUS) 6-4 6-4 2011 here, he beat some talented players across the way before eventually falling to Brands in the final. He was never able to defend his title in 2012 due to that severe injury but here he is now up against a young prospect with a bright future but going through a shambolic phase in his career. From watching Stebe it seems he's too prone to making very amateur mistakes recently, he's doing it at the key times and it's costing him. He is an even more aggressively mobile than Beck as a player but he's not producing in tight match situations. I believe there will be a lot of tight match situations here, with loads of deuce games and such. The clay is quick here in Obserstaufen and the past winners of the tournament prove so. Beck playing well and coming up with the serve and big followup forehand in key situations and Stebe making basic errors off either wing in key situations will prove the difference here today.

  6. Re: July 22 - July 28 James Blake to beat Tim Smychek 1.80 Pinnacle (8/10 points) As good a mover as Smychek is I don';t think he quite as the serve available to compete at a high level on these courts against big servers and big shot makers. Blake had a tough battle with Isner last year (the eventual winner) and he looked pretty impressive. Smychek's loss in form recently also fuels me into believing he won't be able to reset the rally enough against Blake's power. He's been losing to big servers, Klhan an amateaur rookie also recently. Blake brings out the fireworks in America, expecting more of the same here.

  7. Re: July 22 - July 28 ^Tursonov tanked and Fognini is no Ferrer to play to a constant high level of tennis tournament in, tournament out.. we may still see glimpses of great play from Fognini, but for my money he will bound to dip. He's not a consumate professional a 250 and then 500 title, he may feel that he's done his work for the month and swing at balls. Saying that, he won't gift the match away and I don;t see De Bakker as somebody who will annoy Fognini enough with claycourt grind to make him want to not give a crap. Fognini is probably fade material in the next round. Tursonov was poor on more than just the clutch points, he swung at every ball and didn't play with any margin for error, HE DID tank it. Whether Fognini tanks tomorrow is the question. Will he be encouraged enough to want to tank? De Bakker is mentally not the greatest, Fognini may still hobble over the line even though the Dutchman served well last round. Much like Belluci today, Del Bonis played bad and still won, I believe that may happen tomorrow as well. Atleast that's my best hunch.

  8. Re: July 22 - July 28 I actually am not even joking with you now Fader, the moment i skipped to that scoreboard on 365 and saw 30-0 zverev serving for the match, I immediately went to the forum and made the post, I could not see him dropping serve from 30-0 with that nice kick serve he has on these high bouncing courts. I should have remembered how much of a choker he was from when he choked 5 matchpoints to sock in a challenger towards the end of last season though. Trust me mate, I am not against you. :unsure I even put a tiny wager on it too prematch.

  9. Re: July 22 - July 28

Rule you are a disgusting person. Who you laughing at? Do you see me laughing at your kudla 2-0 and he lost 2-0? or your monfils to beat Monaco? Maurer to lose? and then in final where he won again? de bakker vs tursunov? vesely? lol please.. go away you little boy.
I was congratulating you, I thought Zverev had won, check the timing of the specific post. No need to get aggressive.
  10. Re: July 22 - July 28

4pts M.Zverev to beat R.Berankis 2.25 Bet365 These two met in 2011 and Zverev won after being a set down. Berankis has not been on the hard courts since Miami where he went out in round 1 to Melzer. He also went out early at Indian Wells to Pospisil in round 2. Zverev is much more familiar on the hard having played 9 out of his last 10 on the surface only losing 2 of those and 1 being a retirement. These courts are very bouncy and Berankis is only 5ft 9. I think if Zverev serves well he wins here.

  11. Re: July 22 - July 28 looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo ooool Missed 5 match points to win his first atp main tour title, 2 on his serve... on his way to the final he beats Roger Federer, arguably the greatest of all time and he's not emotionally drained? If anyone has a technique for working out when player's tank, do let me in on it.

  12. Re: July 22 - July 28 ^He had 4 match points and 2 on his own serve, he was that close to lifting a 500 level atp world tour title and he's never even won a 250 level one. He went through an amazing set of player's, an absolute emotional rollercoaster that must have been for him. The bookies are basically suggesting he is going to tank, well they're not, the punters are who have swung the price. I think he'll tank too, just like Tursonov did.

  13. Re: July 22 - July 28 Tursonov to beat De Bakker 2.10 Pinnacle (9/10 points) Win over Berdych meant nothing, Berdych was contributing to his own downfall, encouraged it, bakker had nothing to lose and was going for his shots. Crowd were all over bakker and he played some inspired tennis. He can't do that again here to beat tursy who is an all court player. The clay gives him time to prepare for his forehand. Easy does it.
