  1. Re: Rugby League - Super League XIII Round 11 Leeds may fail to cover the hcp against Warrington tonight, they are missing Lauitiiti who has been finding his form again this season and Maguire and Jones-Buchanan are still out, Warrington welcome back a few players mainly Gleeson and Briers, who will no doubt bring that organisation to the team that thay have been missing while he's been out. Leeds will want to bounce back strongly after their first defeat, but i think Warrington are not the kind of team to roll over and let the Rhino's dictate the game, They are missing Westwood which is a big blow, but still have a pack which can cope with whatever Rhino's throw at them. And with Hicks and King in the backs they will be a threat to the Leeds line. Warrington +10.5 10/11 @ Totesport

  2. Re: Rugby League - Super League XIII Round 11 Can't see Cas getting beat by Hull on Sky tonight, Hull have far too many injuries including half-backs Horne and Dykes, missing both is a big loss. Cas have been very good at home so far this season, i realise they have only won two games but the other games have been very close with only a try difference, hopefully they will snowball on from that win against Saints and start to move up the league. Castleford 6/5 @ BetFred

Plenty of games on friday night, Castleford look good against a very poor Hull, but the +4 is 4/5 now, can get +2 10/11 @ various bookies.
  4. Re: Rugby League - Super League XIII Round 10 Cheers m8, Cas would be a lot higher up the league if they showed the same commitment against the so called lesser teams and not just the big boys, they've been unlucky to lose by a few points in a few games now and may well start to climb up the ladder now. Saints are too inconsistent for me, but still expected them to be up there half way through the season. Maybe a lay @ 1.25 on betfair that they don't make the play offs might be in order :ok

  5. Re: Rugby League - Super League XIII Round 10 Castleford haven't been performing too bad at home, They beat Leeds and the 3 games they lost have been by no more than 7 points, Saints only have one game this season where they have won by more than 8, that was the good friday beating of Wigan. Saints away form isn't impressive defeats to Catalans, Huddersfield and Hull KR and only one win against the Bulls, i think Cas should be able to stay within 16 points here. Castleford +16 Evs @ Paddy Power Wakefield have been boosted by the return of Obst and Brough who are vital if they want to get anything out of this match, Briers is still missing for Warrington which i think is the key here, the half back pairing for Wakefield are capable of causing an upset here. Both teams had tough low scoring games last week with only 26 points scored between both matches, the weather no doubt played a big factor in that and i can't see it being a low scoring match, the over 40.5 is quite appealing as Warrington regularly rack up over 30+ points and Wakefield aren't afraid to get the ball out wide. Over 40.5 points 5/6 @ Bet365 Wakefield +6 10/11 @ Skybet

  6. Re: Rugby League - Super League XIII Round 10

Nice shout mate. Missed the 1st 20 minutes coming back from the footy but the last 60 was a helluva game. I didn't bet myself which was annoying but I'll take comfort from my 12/1 on Wigan for the Grand Final isn't looking too bad at the minute.
Like Phil Carke said, Wigan are now playing better without Barrett, they were giving him the ball and expecting things to happen. When he comes back and if they continue to play as a team and not a one man army i think the 12's you got will look like the biggest mistake a bookie's ever made. Nice win for the Quins today:ok
  7. Re: Rugby League - Super League XIII Round 10 Taking Wigan +16 tonight, Leeds are missing Maguire and Jones-buchanan but may have Lee Smith back. Wigan are most likley going to missing Barret with Mathers playing stand off against his old team. I think Leeds will win this but as Kev say's Wigan are a bit of a bogey team for the Rhino's, we always seem to struggle against them for some reason. Wigan +16 8/15 @ Ladbrokes Also going to back Luke Burgess to score anytime, he's scored 2 in 5 games and will get the ball a bit more with Jones-Buchanan out. Luke Burgess anytime scorer 8/1 @ Skybet

  8. Re: Rugby League - Super League XIII Round 10

Cheers mate' date=' was nice to start the season off in good form. I'm leaving tomorrow's matches alone though. We're a bit Jekyll and Hyde at the minute and Hull KR don't do consistency either and in the TV game Wigan have a great record at Leeds in recent times - they won all 3 league games against them last season but lost the final eliminator although they were knackered going into that match. Don't really want to take Leeds on though in their current form, especially with Barrett missing. Might decide a small stake on Wigan in some way tomorrow but not with as much confidence as I'd have had with Barrett playing.[/quote'] Think the game is a anytime scorer type bet, will have a good look later.
  9. Re: Rugby League - Super League XIII Round 10 Taking the overs on the Huddersfield game, both teams are scoring well but are still shipping a load of points too, Huddersfield are a very attack minded team and can run up big scores at home. The weather is looking good, making for some good attacking plays. Over 46.5 5/6 @ bet365 The Bradford game is one that i'm a bit wary of, Bulls have a few players out and playing their 4th game in 15 days with a depleted squad is a big ask. Hull at home are a threat if they get off to a fast start and get the crowd behind them but they are playing poorly at the moment, an inform Bulls should cover the hcp. Been persuaded by the price on this one, need Bulls to get off to good start and get on top early. Bradford to win both halves 9/4 @ Bet365

  11. Re: Rugby League - Super League XIII Round 9 Rhino's go into this game stronger than ever following the recent victory over Hull, Lee smith isn't that big a blow as Ryan Hall is more than capable of crossing the whitewash from anywhere on the pitch. Saint's have a few missing from the pack mainly Sculthorpe and Cunningham with Cayless set to play his first game in a long time. Saints have lost to Huddersfield, Catalans and Hull kr, all games they would expect to win if playing up to normal standard, they however are very inconsistent and i realise they will be up for this game, i just think the bookies have seen them hammer Wigan and said Saints are back, i can't see them getting much out of this game and fully expect the Rhino's to come away with 2 points. Leeds -4 10/11 @ Skybet

Well looks like the bookies have dropped one by only giving Saints 2, or am i getting carried away on the Rhino's wave........?
  13. Re: Rugby League: Super League XIII - Round 7

Good performance by Leeds' date=' particularly defensively. IMO, not as brilliant as the commentators were making out though. Don't get me wrong, very good but a few tries were long distance efforts and Bradford put in a decentish performance depsite what the scoreline suggests. Look at the tackles Leeds had to make and the possession during the game. I think comparing them to great sides of saints and Bradford was the usual sensational stuff we get from Sky ;)[/quote'] Bradford weren't that bad, apart from some sloppy defence. If they put that much pressure on the line of any other team they would have been winning the match, but this season anyone can beat anyone and shocks will become the norm.
