Re: Rugby League: Carnegie Challenge Cup Not much time today but i fancy Huddersfield to beat Hull KR, i tipped KR last week but think that the Giants attacking play is far better than Hull's was, summer rugby has popped it's head up and the Giants love to get the ball out to the backs. Huddersfield +6 10/11 @ Corals I fancy Bradford to turn things round today and see off Catalan, they were hurt after last weeks defeat to Leeds and will be looking to see off the Dragons and have a good cup run. Bradford -10 10/11 @ William Hills Not too in depth im afraid, sorry.

Re: Rugby League: Carnegie Challenge Cup I think Warrington have a good chance of staying within the hcp this weekend against Saints. Saints had their best game of the season so far against a Wigan team that seem to be in all sorts of troubles, and Huddersfield ran Warrington close at the Milleninum stadium last weekend. Saints went to The Halliwell Jones Stadium two weeks ago and came out on top 30-22 in a very good, close hard fought game, and thats what i'm expecting today in the cup, both teams are very good in defence and with the heat we've had the pitch is sure to be hard and fast which suits both teams. Neither team has much to report in the way of injuries, Saints have Fa'asavalu back which will be a boost for Saints against Warrington's big pack. And Grix is back for Warrington. Warrington +16 10/11 @ Paddy Power Going to back Matt King to score at anytime, he's playing well at the moment without scoring many tries, hoping that the change in weather will be a boost and see him cross the line today. Matt King to score anytime 5/2 @ Skybet

Re: Rugby League - Super League XIII Round 12 The Saints/Warrington game looks it could be a cracker, two very attacking teams that are getting players back from injuries, so that both teams are almost at full strength. Not going to make a call on the hcp as i think this game could go either way, instead i'm going for a 40/20 to be kicked, both teams have very good kickers in Long and Briers, i belive that the game tonight is going to be very physical in the forwards and the 40/20 will be a massive shortcut down the field for both teams. A 40/20 to be kicked 3/1 @ Skybet. Also fancy Ben Westwood to cross the whitewash, he's scored 3 so far and has had a bit of rest due to suspension so will be rearing to get at the Saints. He's always a threat near the line and his support play could see him over tonight. Ben Westwood anytime scorer 4/1 @ Skybet.

Re: Rugby League - Super League XIII Round 12 Leeds always seem to struggle when they go to Hull, and may struggle more than usual with having a few teenagers coming in for injured players, Hull KR have a very good home record, beating Saints and Bradford, their only defeat was to Warrington and that was only by a point. I can see Hull KR being very hard to break down as they seem to up their workrate when playing the big teams at home, so i'll be taking them +8. Hull KR +8 10/11 @ Skybet.

Super league is back this weekend, some low hcp's (apart from the Catalans/Castleford match). Going to wait for some team news before making any decisions though.Friday 25 April 2008 Home Away Warrington v St Helens (19:30BST) +6 -6 Details » Hide « Warrington v St Helens Hull KR v Leeds Rhinos (20:00BST) +8 -8 Details » Hide « Hull KR v Leeds Rhinos Saturday 26 April 2008 Home Away Wakefield v Harlequins (18:00BST) -4 +4 Details » Hide « Wakefield v Harlequins Catalans Dragons v Castleford Tigers (19:30BST) -14 +14 Details » Hide « Catalans Dragons v Castleford Tigers Sunday 27 April 2008 Home Away Bradford v Wigan Warriors (15:15BST) -6 +6 Details » Hide « Bradford v Wigan Warriors Hull FC v Huddersfield (15:15BST) -6 +6 Details » -
Re: Rugby League: Carnegie Challenge Cup Nice post's Punto, you could've done with a bit more luck though. Family's had a sickness bug so no sport for me today, just a lot of cleaning up after the kids and wife :puke

Re: Rugby League: Carnegie Challenge Cup I'm thinking that the Quins/Cas game is going to be a close one, played much the same way as the league game that Quins just edged late on. Not 100% on the teams yet but i know Cas have both Dorn and Guttenbeil out through injury, but McGoldrick is back and may be the man to sway this match in the tigers favour. I thought Castleford started off the better team last week against Hull, but let themselves down in the last quarter, this is where i think McGoldrick is going to make a difference and with proper use of the ball they could well sneak this one, but i'm going to play safe with the hcp. Castleford +10 10/11 @ Skybet Also taking Peter Lupton to score anytime, he's been in great attacking form this season scoring 5 tries already, i think his presence near the line will be invaluable tonight. Peter Lupton Anytime score 4/1 @ Skybet

Re: Rugby League: Carnegie Challenge Cup Well Batley were +6 i belive away at Dewsbury last week and looking at the tables and last weeks result i would've expected -10/12, but as i said i ain't no div one expert.
-
Re: Rugby League: Carnegie Challenge Cup The Batley game looks of interest, Batley went to Dewsbury and beat them 29-16 last thursday on Sky. Bet365 are going Batley -8 @ evs, am i missing something here or are the bookies getting a bit confused?

Re: Rugby League - Super League XIII Round 11 Yet another shock result with Hull KR beating Bradford, it's getting to the point where it's a shock if the favourite wins. Ah well on to next week.
-
Re: Rugby League - Super League XIII Round 11 Cheers :ok Not been too bad a weekend so far, going for the hat trick with try scorers by backing Shontayne Hape to score for the Bulls against a Hull KR side that are missing both 1st team centres. Hape hasn't really started to score yet, a season lost through injury last year may have lost him his sharpness, but i think that that big centre will relish the chance to take on a weakened Robins back line. Shontayne Hape anytime scorer 7/4 @ Skybet

Re: Rugby League - Super League XIII Round 11 Not having a bet on the outcome in tonights Huddersfield/Wakefield match, Wakey always seem to do me one way or another and i'm sure with all the players missing they will struggle, but the wildcats with their backs against the wall could well throw up yet another Super league shock. Going to Back Luke Robinson to score, he's quick to spot a gap and doesn't mind going on his own from the play the ball on the opponents line. he's the clubs leading scorer but hasn't scored in four games so is due one tonight. Again Hills offer the biggest price by a long way with Totesport going a tight 5/4. Luke Robinson anytime scorer 9/4 @ William Hills

Re: Rugby League - Super League XIII Round 11
Cheers, you were spot on with Catalans :okGreat call mate - and boy did we need it :ok -
Re: Rugby League - Super League XIII Round 11 Cheers Punto, nowt like a bit of pressure :ok Going to have a go on Matt Cook scoring on his debut for Castleford, he's scored once this season for Bradford and i'm sure will be very keen to get stuck and impress his coach. Hills more than double all other books on this. Matt Cook anytime scorer 6/1 William Hills
