  1. Re: Rugby League: Super League - Round 6

Well i'm going to disagree with Ian Millward's (and probably a lot of other folk's) call of Leeds to see off Salford +20. Bet Salford +20 Prediction Leeds by 8-12
but will take Hape anytime scorer 5/4 @ skybet. Also having a think about sporting odds offer of 5/2 for a 40/20 in the match
Have gone for Saints -4.5 / Salford +26.5 double @2.16 with Betfair
Thanks Rugbylad, quite a day today with a 2 winners and a place at Cheltenham :beer
  2. Re: Rugby League: Super League - Round 6 I think the Saints - Bulls game could be a classic tonight and i expect a close hard game, Bulls have a few players back, Withers in particular who will be a far safer bet then St Hillaire at full back they also have Johnson back in the pack. Saints have Long back but i still don't like the pairing of Long & Pryce, well it's just Pryce that bothers me really as i think Harris will have the better game at stand off out of the two of them. Graham also returns to the Saints to add abit of shoulder sorry tackling ability:D No match bet for me, but will take Hape anytime scorer 5/4 @ skybet. Also having a think about sporting odds offer of 5/2 for a 40/20 in the match, which may sound daft but in Harris & Deacon you have 2 very good field kickers who will no doubt attempt a couple as they try to turn a very good Saints rearguard around. Like Rugbylad, if pushed I would take Bulls +10, but I think they may rely on Vainikolo too much.

  3. Re: Rugby League: Super League - Round 6 Well i'm going to disagree with Ian Millward's (and probably a lot of other folk's) call of Leeds to see off Salford +20. Both defences are looking very good giving up 65 & 60 in the first 4 games, Leeds may have the feeling of being a team that could score big at anytime, but against a rugged Saints defence they struggled. Salford have the ability to defend well and with Dunemann back fit and playing well and the added incentive of being back at Headingley should be a major influnce on the game. I realise that I tipped Salford against the Bulls with the same kind of write up and Salford got hammered :$ this time though I think Leeds may well win but don't think Salford will give up that much and they will grab a few tries along the way. Bet Salford +20 Prediction Leeds by 8-12

  4. Re: Rugby League: Super League - Round 5

Can't decide on tonights game the +10 does look good' date=' but Salford are more than capable of scoring and keeping Wakey at bay with their good defence.[/quote'] Now picking splinters out of my butt, should've stuck with my gut and taken Salford instead of fence sitting, but i got my fingers burned against Bulls last time i tipped Salford so bottled it. :wall
  5. Re: Rugby League: Super League - Round 5 Not at all happy with that, too many wrong decisions and two sides that cancelled each other out to some degree. Maybe if the Bulls threequaters came in field to look for work it could have been a different story, pryce did sod all untill given the ball never once went looking for it. Aw well on to tomorrow and a whole new game.

  6. Re: Rugby League: Super League - Round 5 Not sure if anyone has seen this before, but it's got me a bit stumped as to whether there's any real value in it. Sportingodds pay e/w 1/4 1,2,3,4 on 1st tryscorer. I realise it's only money back on Vainikolo, but someone like Hape 10/1 or Yeaman 16/1 who are both in good scoring form might be worth a few quid as they could both go over within the first 4 tries. Any thoughts?

  7. Re: Cheltenham Ante post thread Quote from the BBC: Asian Maze is likely to miss next week's Ladbrokes World Hurdle at Cheltenham - and run in the Smurfit Kappa Champion Hurdle instead. The dual Grade One-winning mare was as low as 5-1 for the stayers' race but trainer Tom Mullins indicated she will go for Tuesday's two-mile championship. "We are leaning towards the Champion Hurdle now and I would say she is 90% certain to run in that race," he said.

  8. Re: Rugby League: Super League - Round 5 Yeah got to agree with backing Bulls giving only 12 to Hull. Hull got off to a supposed good start, but looking back they beat Cas + Wakey who as were starting to find out do ship some points and are not the best teams going forward, they lost to a Wolves team just starting to play as they can (a lot of folk took Hull as a banker) and then also lost to a very resolute Quins team who with Dorn in look a better team already.
