The Punters Lounge Poker League continues this week for February running on Wednesday nights. Once again we have £150 added to be shared between the top 3 in the league at the end of the month. Games start at 8.10pm, with a 20min late registration period on top of this.  All games are played in the PokerStars Home Games PL Poker Club. 
Our Bounty leg seems to be popular so we will continue to hold this in Leg 2.  This month is a Progressive Bounty format (your own bounty increases by 50% of the bounties you collect).  League points will be calculated only on finishing position, and bounty payouts will be made according to PokerStars normal rules.   Leg 1 and 4 are standard NLHE, and Leg 3 is our PLO Leg.
 > Leg 1 : Wednesday 3rd February at 20.10 GMT in the PL Poker Club Home Game - NLHE 3000 chips
 > Leg 2 : 10th February - NLHE 3000 chips Bounty
 > Leg 3 : 17th February - PLO 5000 chips
 > Leg 4 : 24th February - NLHE 5000 chips - (double entrants in points formula)**
Buy in is $5.50 per leg.
Your top 3 scores of the 4 legs will count towards your league total. We will be using the usual PL poker league format, which will be updated in this thread. (The PokerStars own league scores will not be used.) Formula is -Log(position/Entrants)x100
To help boost numbers overall and in particular in the final leg we are continuing the system of doubling the number of entries used in the calculation in leg 4 (**so if 10 entries the formula will use 20 entrants). This will increase the number of points available in the final leg to make it more competitive.
All members are welcome, however you must post in this thread if asked to let us know your forum username, otherwise your placings and scores cannot be included in the league.  New players are always welcome to join in, so please spread the word and invite your friends to the forum so we can keep the weekly numbers up.

£150 Added Value

The £150 added will be split between the top 3 players of the league end, with £75 to the league champion, £45 to 2nd and £30 to 3rd.  This will be payable via PayPal at the end of the league.  Big thank you to Punters Lounge for the added funds.  The league winner will also get Punters Lounge merchandise.

Good morning all!
Just a quick message to say that we have seen a rise in cases recently of members using this forum as an excuse to promote their own ventures, businesses, websites, and blogs. Punters Lounge has never been about pushing promotional material onto its members and it's reached a stage now where we feel action needs to be taken.
It has been decided that from now on the use of promoting external sites (mainstream ones such as BBC, Sky Sports, and bookmakers such as Bet365, Betfair, Betfred etc are exempt obviously!) either in a username, avatar, or posts will no longer be tolerated.
We accept that a number of members contribute positively to this forum and are involved in their own projects so we will still allow members to have a single link with a single line of promotional blurb maximum in their signature. That way, any members that do wish to find out more about that member can click on the link but it's not something that is rammed down their throats.
The Punters Lounge staff team will spend the next few weeks looking to address this issue by contacting those we feel need to make changes to their usernames, avatars, or posts. We encourage you to save us time and hassle by either changing these yourself if you feel you are one of those individuals or giving one of us a PM if you spot a member that you feel needs to change these details. Any members that fail to make the necessary changes or continue to flaunt these new guidelines will be warned and, if required, be banned.
Punters Lounge remains a place where we encourage discussion and laughs about the various sports and topics at hand. We hope that by clamping down on promotional material that can come across as spam posting we will generate a more positive, welcoming, and enjoyable forum experience for all that post here.

I want to thank everyone for their kind wishes and lovely messages. It is a sad, sad time for me. To see how much other people thought of Graham is a great comfort to me. He loved PL and was devastated when Paul died earlier this year. It is beyond my belief that they are both now gone. Too soon, way too soon.

We have the opportunity for a 'fun week' again on the 5th Wednesday of the month (30th Sept) so we'll have a PLO HiLo game, which we tried to do a couple of months ago. Hopefully plenty of notice this time for this to run!

Morning Everyone
It has taken me 4 weeks to even come and visit the site, as many of you know and many do not, I have known Paul some 30 years and in that time got to know a man who was selective about the people he chose to be in his life, he loved his punters lounge guys and girls and the numerous poker nights and race days he took great joy and pride in to know he created that, I was more a friend away from this site because truth be told gambling is not my thing as @StevieDay1983 will tell you with my horrendous premier league tips, I am actually very proud of what Paul achieved here and have told him that several times, you all should be proud to because you have help this great creation, on a more personal note I will miss my friend no no my brother, i loved the way he would tell it to me straight if I was being a d**k, also loved the way I could tell him that also, I have spent many a night in the pub (that will surprise you all  watching mostly football and for a Leeds lad he backed me up whenever I was watching Manchester United in mainly Arsenal pubs in London, away from pubs we would often discuss matters of life always with a sarcastic sense of humour attached to it, I was with Paul a lot over the last months and I would like you all to know that genuinely he did not lose that sarcastic sense of humour he was known for, one of lifes very very good guys, I love ya Paul

Well done to 7-2offsuit, Pottsy, who came and won the PLO leg on his first appearance in the league    and gets onto the league table in 5th.
It's tight at the top with Leo currently in the lead with 3 super consistent finishes, Kev close behind with another podium this week.
Lots to play for next week and plenty with a chance of taking some of the added value.
We have a 5000 chip NLHE contest to decide it all set up and ready to register.
