  1. Order is restored as the semi-final line-up is complete: Michael van Gerwen vs. Peter Wright Phil Taylor vs. James Wade Best of 33 legs http://www.pdc.tv/news/article/9qebu4ssafh813t8bqp5406jd/title/betvictor-world-matchplay-day-six http://www.pdc.tv/news/article/jcay068ub4zx1pi9uzpfn5mx4/title/betvictor-world-matchplay-day-seven http://www.pdc.tv/world-matchplay/article/1nvd8qyx4482q1xs2mynl43mxm/title/betvictor-world-matchplay-netzone Those looking for an upset will be heartened that Peter Wright did beat MvG 8-7 in Japan not too long ago... http://www.dartsdatabase.co.uk/HeadToHead.aspx?plaKey=1463&plbKey=1395 ...albeit that was Wright's only win against MvG in the last ten matches. James Wade's recent record against Phil Taylor in comparison is marginally better (two wins in the last ten). http://www.dartsdatabase.co.uk/HeadToHead.aspx?plaKey=11&plbKey=1 It'd be a brave or foolish man to oppose a Michael van Gerwen vs. Phil Taylor rematch.

  2. Huh. The last two matches of the last two days have brought shocks. Would love to know if there were any folks mad enough to back the Gerwyn Price/Mensur Suljovic win double!? http://www.pdc.tv/news/article/jpu8gs13s6rzxyf7r2o0le7/title/betvictor-world-matchplay-day-four http://www.pdc.tv/news/article/ph1nlerefkj41xwy7d7ypsgut/title/betvictor-world-matchplay-day-five The quarter-final line-up: Michael van Gerwen vs. Ian White Peter Wright vs. Gerwyn Price Phil Taylor vs. Dave Chisnall James Wade vs. Mensur Suljovic http://www.pdc.tv/news/article/1nvd8qyx4482q1xs2mynl43mxm/title/betvictor-world-matchplay-netzone

  3. Re: Premier League - Week 3 Yeah, Raymond does have a rather moody look about him these days (the only one rivalling him in this regard I think is Ding Junhui over in the snooker) but I'd say it's also one of immense concentration. He certainly does drop his head every now and then with the worst example being in week two when Wes Newton managed to get back at him and beat him. PLD has been a blooming trappy event and certainly a minefield for favourites backers trying to string an acca together. Phil Taylor's form with three straight losses is surely almost unprecedented. I don't know if this is 'permament' or not. The fact he won a UK Open qualifier and got two nine-darters a couple of weeks back suggests this is only 'temporary'.

  4. Re: Boxing>Nov 30-December 1 "I never went in there looking to knock him out..." - Tyson Fury after a comfortable (but very disappointing to watch) points win over Kevin Johnson. Not a particularly convincing couple of days for British heavyweight boxing. David Price beats up an old man in two rounds, Andrew Flintoff is given a victory for PR purposes and Tyson Fury wasn't looking to win inside the distance.

  5. Re: World Grand Prix 2012 Outright & to reach the final (from Sky Bet) odds: Michael van Gerwen 4/1 (Blue SQ/Paddy Power/Sportingbet) 7/4 Robert Thornton 5/1 (Betfred/totesport) 7/4 Wes Newton 9/2 (general) 2/1 Andy Hamilton 11/2 (general) 3/1 Mervyn King 7/1 (Betfred/totesport) 11/4 Justin Pipe 10/1 (Boylesports/Stan James) 2/1 Paul Nicholson 16/1 (Blue SQ/Sportingbet/Stan James) 9/2 Brendan Dolan 16/1 (general) 5/1 Quarter-final odds from Stan James: 19:20 Justin Pipe 8/13 vs. 5/4 Brendan Dolan 20:20 Wes Newton 4/9 vs. 7/4 Paul Nicholson 21:20 Michael van Gerwen 8/13 vs. 5/4 Andy Hamilton 22:20 Robert Thornton 4/6 vs. 6/5 Mervyn King All matches are best of five sets. 6. Re: Ryder Cup 2012 The order of the singles matches: Bubba Watson vs. Luke Donald (1703 BST) Webb Simpson vs. Ian Poulter (1714) Keegan Bradley vs. Rory McIlroy (1725) Phil Mickelson vs. Justin Rose (1736) Brandt Snedeker vs. Paul Lawrie (1747) Dustin Johnson vs. Nicolas Colsaerts (1758) Zach Johnson vs. Graeme McDowell (1809) Jim Furyk vs. Sergio Garcia (1820) Jason Dufner vs. Peter Hanson (1831) Matt Kuchar vs. Lee Westwood (1842) Steve Stricker vs. Martin Kaymer (1853) Tiger Woods vs. Francesco Molinari (1904) http://www.sportinglife.com/golf/news/article/2/8123406/watson-and-donald-lead-off-singles OT: If anyone was wondering how Sportingbet settled that 'first word/phrase' market after Graeme McDowell hit the first tee shot, all bets were void. :lol

  7. Re: Ryder Cup 2012 If only for a laugh, Sportingbet have a "The first word or phrase shouted after the first tee shot" market! :loon rc2012-1sthole-sportingbet.jpg There's always some fool who shouts "Get in the hole!" isn't there? Mash potato or oesophagus!? :unsure

  8. Re: European Championship 2012 (20-23 Sept) Outright odds: Phil Taylor 4/7 (Ladbrokes) Raymond van Barneveld 6/1 (Sportingbet/Stan James/William Hill) Simon Whitlock 8/1 (Sportingbet/Stan James) Wes Newton 16/1 (Sportingbet/Stan James) Kim Huybrechts 16/1 (general) Andy Hamilton 20/1 (general) Colin Lloyd 40/1 (Stan James) Brendan Dolan 66/1 (general) Quarter-finals (first to 10 legs): 13:10 Andy Hamilton vs. Wes Newton 14:10 Phil Taylor vs. Brendan Nolan 15:10 Kim Huybrechts vs. Raymond van Barneveld 16:10 Simon Whitlock vs. Colin Lloyd Yesterday's second round round-up: http://www.pdc.tv/page/NewsdeskDetail/0,,10180~2926205,00.html

  9. Re: Big Brother 2012 Odds from Sky Bet: To win: Deana 11/10, Luke A 5/2, Adam 5/2, Sara 10/1 and Luke S 50/1 To finish second: Luke A 15/8, Adam 15/8, Deana 11/4, Sara 11/2 and Luke S 25/1 To finish fifth: Luke S 4/7, Sara 100/30, Adam 9/1, Luke A 9/1 and Deana 10/1 Gender of winner: Male 4/5 and Female 10/11 Straight forecast odds in the graphic below: bb13-sf-13Aug12.jpg

  10. Re: Big Brother 2012 Deana is fighting favouritism with Luke A. Adam's seen a bit of money for him to win. Sara and Luke S are far behind in the odds. bb13-final5-12Aug12.jpg Odds from William Hill: Top Female - Deana 1/8 and Sara 9/2 Top Male - Luke A 8/15, Adam 11/8 and Luke S 20/1 Who WILL win!? Whoever Five and Endemol want to win. Good luck in working that out.

  11. Re: Big Brother 2012 UK based ones? No, I think they've given up the proverbial ghost. It's not showing on UK TV so they're generally not interested. I've had a look at a few offshore sportsbooks like Pinnacle and SportsInteraction but I can't seem to find anyone who is offering odds on 'Big Brother 14'. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Big_Brother_14_%28U.S.%29 Sara to be 'Top Female' isn't the worst shout in the world and in a neat 'gender reversal' twist she could be Jason to Luke A's Nadia ('Big Brother' series five where Dan finished third and lovely Shell finished fourth back in 2005). OT: This series of ' Big Brother' ends on Monday but the fourth version of Five's 'Celebrity Big Brother' starts two days after on Wednesday! http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/tv/realitybites/a398451/celebrity-big-brother-who-will-enter-the-house.html

  12. Re: Big Brother 2012 Yeah, generally the odds are for 'the next person to be evicted through a public vote' unless stated otherwise. It kind of explains why Ashleigh is such huge odds-on right now. The current best odds for the next person to be evicted: Ashleigh 2/9 (Coral) Scott 6/1 (Bet365/Ladbrokes) Adam 11/1 (Bet365) Deana 22/1 (Bet365) Nobody is offering 'double eviction' odds probably fearing a caning through 'inside information' or something though.

  13. Re: Big Brother 2012 Conor getting £50k wasn't popular with DS forum users: http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/tv/s149/big-brother/news/a397730/big-brother-digital-spy-readers-brand-conor-cash-win-disgraceful.html This week's nominations with four up for a DOUBLE eviction: http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/tv/s149/big-brother/news/a397712/big-brother-nominations-revealed-four-housemates-face-public-vote.html With Five essentially endorsing the potential women-beater Conor, I think Deana is possibly ripe for an upset. The last three BB winners on Five have been kind of 'upsets' with the betting favourite being usurped all three times. I still don't get why Deana is favourite to win the show. Is it Shilpa Shetty and the 'sympathy vote' all over again!? Luke A could easily replicate Nadia's success to become the second transsexual to win the show (and the first female-to-male one at that!) but I don't think he's been at all entertaining and would be a typical 'best of a bad bunch dullard' to win the show. The odds kind of reflect that as people seem to be backing Luke A to be the spoiler. Can any of the remaining housemates other than Deana or Luke A win!? It's not impossible to 'engineer' a result like last year when that horrible fooker Aaron won so sure, why not!? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Big_Brother_12_%28UK%29 None of the remaining seven housemates really deserves to win and I'm not sure who Five or Endemol are favouring but as Luke A creeps back towards favouritism, it'll probably be Luke A who ends up winning. Current odds to win the show: bb13-ow-7Aug12.jpg
