  3. Fabio Capello says he does not want to succeed Claudio Ranieri as Inter coach and has denied holding talks with the Serie A club. Capello stood down as England manager last month and was immediately linked with several major clubs across Europe. Reports suggested he had met with Inter president Massimo Moratti, but the former Juventus and AC Milan coach has ruled out coaching the San Siro outfit. The 65-year-old also denied any interest in taking charge of the Italian national team, declaring: “That’s another fantasy – absolutely not.” Capello enjoyed two managerial stints at Inter’s city rivals Milan, winning four titles and one Champions League trophy with the club. When asked about Milan talisman Zlatan Ibrahimovic, a player he coached during his time in charge of Juventus, Capello said the Swede warrants comparison with club great Marco van Basten.
  4. The Milwaukee Bucks continue to get a huge lift from Ersan Ilyasova, while the New Jersey Nets have to watch another one of its star players head to the injury list. The Bucks continue to stay in the hunt for the playoffs much to the play of forward Ilyasova. Ilyasova scored 31 points against the Toronto Raptors on Sunday, his second 30-point game in Milwaukee’s last three games. Ilyasova also grabbed 12 rebounds, recording his second double-double in three games. But Brandon Jennings continues to remain inconsistent offensively for Milwaukee, keeping the Bucks from putting together a string of wins. Jennings had just 11 points against the Raptors on Sunday, and he shot just 4 of 14 from the field. New Jersey lost to the Houston Rockets 112-106 on Saturday, the Nets first game since losing point guard Deron Williams to a calf injury. New Jersey has been without starting center Brook Lopez for much of the season, as the Nets try to remain competitive in the final weeks of the season.Jordan Farmar started in place of Williams. Farmar had a solid game, scoring 18 points in 33 minutes. Farmar shot 7 of 11 from the floor, including 3 of 3 from the 3-point line. Backup guard Gerald Green gave the Nets a big lift off the bench, scoring a game-high 26 points.New Jersey played well, despite not having Williams in the lineup. The Nets shot 53 percent from the field and made nine 3’s. But the Rockets shot 56 percent from the field and dominated the Nets in the paint, outscoring New Jersey 52-36.
