Badosa somehow made it through R1, but she seems to have constant back issues nowadays, and Fernandez has what it takes to make this physically demanding. Taking this with a one-set bookie, as I can see Badosa retiring as in Hua Hin.

The thing is, with Rock, he hasn't threatened to win anything. He won that Players Championship floor event when he was on fire for a good few months, but he doesn't get close in the bigger events.
I did think about him in this but much like a Heta or Searle, for me, it doesn't matter how good they play, they find a way to lose in the latter stages.

yes, it seems ridiculous, but I did a similar bet with Humpries to win multiple tournaments and i can't see Littler NOT making the final four in this event. Therefor, 20/1 for him to win 2 matches in this and then go on to win a Worlds? hmm, I'll take it with small stakes.

It's never really been a favourite of mine for betting on but the thread is up and it will be interesting with Littler in, this year.
Can't see past a final four of Littler,Humphries,MVG and Price though personally.

Good price I think, Preston is usually well out of depth against top 50 opposition, and Zhu typically does well in Asia. She hasn't actually been doing all that poorly so far in 2024 either, beating Collins and Dolehide.

Those three (Humphries, Littler, MVG) seem to stand out right now... the draw should be important in future tournaments, as whoever of these three has a "clear" bracket to the finals would be in advantage compared to the other two.
Or am I overthinking it, lol.

You'd have thought so alright, but MVG upped his standard for the final and for once Littler didn't match the ridiculously high levels he's shown us in recent months, especially on the checkouts. Glad I didn't bet on Littler now (was doing housework!(😆
