  1. Re: Brazil Serie A 2011 THREAD

Corinthians - Internacional 02:00CET Internacional (+0.75) AH against leaders Corinthians looks realy great in my opinion. Odds around @2 (evens) is something to be considered. Inter have another derby game only two days after this one so they will sure be searching points tonight. Corinthians is good, but i belive it is time for them to slow tempo a bit after 5 wins in a row. International manager Falcao will welcome back three realy important players, Mario Bolatti is back after serving suspension and midfielder Oscar (5 goals) as well as defender Juan will be starters. Probable line up: Muriel; Nei, Bolívar, Juan e Kleber; Bolatti, Guiñazu, D'Alessandro e Oscar; Zé Roberto e Leandro Damião. Internacional (+0.75) AH @2.00 188bet 4/10
I took Inter at 1.98 on a +0.5,1 handicap. I think Inter have the quality to really hurt Corinthians. I'm expecting a good match of football, but with little goals. Good luck!
  2. Re: Copa America > Tuesday 12th July Batista confirmed that Gago, Aguero, Higuain and Di Maria will all start tomorrow. I think Di Maria is definitely going to offer something different to Argentina as well as Higuain and it should be positive, but don't expect the team to play well. A couple days isn't enough to change formation, players etc and expect the team to perform. Argentina is betting more on moments of individual brilliance than on anything else. As for the inclusion of Gago, I think its plain right stupid to include him in such an important game and way too much of a gamble. Cago has only played 214 minutes of football this season with Real Madrid. How can you play someone who has only about 2 games and a half of football played for his club all season long! Its incomprehensible to me. La Volpe today in a press conference said that Argentina is sleeping and he's absolutely right, and I agree, they have been for a long time now too. Not just this Copa America. What will it take for them to wake up? I don't know, a proper manager perhaps? La Volpe said " lets hope they don't wake up against us" and also pointed out how a amateur 19 year old from a University will be marking Messi tomorrow. Which I think was more of a stunt just to add pressure on Argentina. I mean if you can't beat a u22 team your in deep shit, right? Argentina have everything to lose here and Costa Rica have everything to win. Pressure is on Argentina and I reckon if they don't find an early goal things will get very nervy. Even more than they are right now. I believe this plays against Argentina. I think its going to be a tight match, we saw that Costa Rica can be Dangerous with Campbell, who is incredibly fast, and we also saw they can defend vs Colombia. Until the red card Colombia never looked dangerous and even 1 man down on the field Costa Rica remained composed and kept the scoreline 1-0. Meanwhile nothing really makes me say Argentina is going to be any different to what we saw in their first two encounters. They have not gone from bad to better, they have gone form bad to worse. Messi's body language vs Colombia was really shocking and I would worry if I were Argentine and they all are, believe me. Confidence and spirits are very low in the Argentine camp. La Volpe knows Argentina well and I'm confident that Costa Rica will not be a walkover. This game will be tight, though Argentina will probably win. If they don't deserve it and can't get it, I could see them receiving some "extra help" from the ref, but anyway I really like this handicap. Costa Rica + 2.5 @ 1.5 bet365

  3. Re: Copa America > Tuesday 12th July I am no too sure thats going to be the team. No confirmation on who is going to play, but I do know Di Maria is probably a given, which is good for Argentina. Higuain also looks like he could get the go ahead. Cago is still a might, but I think it would be incredibly stupid to play him. How many games has Gago played this season? He was injured almost all season, and when he wasn't he didn't play anyway. Nothing player. Would be a huge risk to play him, hes completely out of form.

  4. Re: Copa America > Sunday 10th July Colombia vs Bolivia After an awful day yesterday, I hope to get on track once again. Bolivia produced a freak result against Argentina, and thats just what it was, a freat result. It happens sometimes, the underdog gives it all they have and somehow things go their way and they end up getting a positive result. Reality is that Bolivia is one of the weakest teams in the competition, if not the weakest. The results they have obtained speak for themselves. Another important thing to note is that a draw for Bolivia is no good, so don't expect them to defend all game long and be happy with a draw. Colombia was not impressive against Costa Rica, but showed very good football and played well as a team vs Argentina showing that they are adapting well and getting used to each other. Colombia should win this without too much trouble, and at 1.67 the odds are good. Colombia -0.5 @ 1.67 bet365

  5. Re: Brazil Serie A 2011 THREAD Sao Paolo vs Cruzeiro After a bright start in the league, winning 5 games in a row, Sao Paolo has gone on a bad run lately, losing their last 3 games. Unable to score in any of them. Sao Paolo's performances have been very dull lately and they really need to turn this around as soon as possible. Unfortunately today they face Cruzeiro a team which is on the up since the appointment of a new coach. Cruzeiro has won their last 3 games very convincingly and hasn't lost in their last 5. This team is very strong at the moment and the momentum is really high. High spirits at the moment in Cruzeiro meanwhile the confidence in Sao Paolo is quite low. This could play an important role in the outcome of the match. Cruzeiro +0.5 at 1.60 bet365 Vasco de Gama vs Internacional There is definitely value in this bet. The home team is coming from two consecutive defeats. They have only managed to win once in their last 7 games and currently sit on the 10th position of the league. Inter on the other hand have improved lately, after their slow start to the season. Winning their last 3 games convincingly and going 6 consecutive games without losing. A win could see them get into the top 3 positions, so they have plenty of motivation for this game. Inter + 0.5 at 1.68

  6. Re: Copa America > 8th-9th July Brazil vs Paraguay I think a lot of people wouldn't believe me when I say that Brazil has not scored more than 2 goals in their last 7 games which have all ended with less than 2.5 goals, but its the truth. Meanwhile Paraguay has finished their last 5 games with less than 2.5 goals. They have also failed to score in 3 of their last four matches, all of them ending 0-0. Paraguay have kept a clean sheet in their last 5 games. Everything indicates that this will be a low scoring match, which I believe could even end 0-0 which pays 9.0 on bet365. Paraguay's biggest threat in attack is Barrios which is very dangerous, but without service, there is not a lot he can do, and Paraguay's midfield lacks creativity. Paraguay also know that a draw is a good result. Brazil on the other hand will want to win this game, and the game wil be pretty one sided I assume, with Brazil attacking and Paraguay defending all match long. Brazil's defense and goalkeeper are solid though, so it will be hard for them to be caught on the counter. Brazil played good football against Venezuela in the first half, but got frustrated after their missed chances, I think this game they will have less chances against a solid defense and if they don't take whatever chances come their way, they might not find a goal. Brazil vs Paraguay = under 2.5 goals at 1.65 bet365 Ecuador vs Venezuela Ecuador has drawn their last 6 games in a row! Thats a great drawing record. Meanwhile Venezuela has drawn 4 times out of their last 9 games, which means they have drawn more than anything else in their most recent encounters too. Both teams will come into this match with expectations. A win for either side would secure them a place in the next round. I don{t know which team is favorite here, I would have to say Venezuela if I had to pick a team, mainly down to the fact that Valencia is injured which is a huge blow for Ecuador. I think we will see a poor match here with little separating both sides, and the most likely result being a draw. From what I have seen from both sides everything indicates this will end in a draw. Low stakes here, but I think its definitely worth putting a small bet on. Ecuador vs Venezuela = Draw

  7. Re: Copa America > 8th-9th July

I actually like draw no bet for this one on Uruguay at the same price. I don't know if there will be a winner here, but if there is I think its more likely it is Uruguay. Your right about Chile's form. They have been impressive. However, I did not like what I saw against Mexico. They created some good chances when the match was 0-0, yet failed to put them away. After going one down they lost composure in attack and failed to create much, both their goals came from bad defending from the Mexican's and corners. In defense I think they were bad. Chile has talented defenders and Claudio Bravo, yet the lapses in concentration the whole back line suffers every game is really shocking to say the least. If they suffered against a really poor Mexican team, just imagine against the likes of Uruguay. I expect lots of goals and a very entertaining match.
    Bet push.
  8. Re: Copa America > 8th-9th July

Lay Uruguay @ 2.66 (1.60) Chile have the edge here, for me. In really good form since the World Cup, including a 2-0 win against tomorrow's opponents, and obviously a winning start to their Copa campaign. Uruguay have done fairly well themselves, but had a disappointing first match. In addition, their talisman Forlan isn't firing, so I don't see them having enough to win here. Chile draw no bet is 1.98 for anyone that prefer's better odds.

  9. Re: Copa America > 8th-9th July

Peru draw no bet @ 1.70 (Sportingbet) Guerrero 1-0 @ 31.00 (William Hill) Peru had a good opening result, making light of the absences of key attackers Farfan and Pizarro. They have a solid defence, and with Guerrero they have a guy capable of nicking a goal. The Mexico under 22 side did well to run Chile as close as they did, but I think they'll struggle to break down the Peruvians, and defensive naivety may ultimately cost them again.
    You can get Peru @ 1.77 on a 0 AH on bet365
  10. Re: U17 World Cup 2011

Uruguay U17 vs Brazil U17 Very interesting match, and I predict another tight match. Last time these two met we saw a 0-0 and I'm pretty sure this game is going to be a lot tighter than the bookies make it out to be with the odds. Brazil has a lot of fire power upfront, but their goalkeeper is a mess. I think Brazil was lucky to get past Japan, I truly believed the Japanese deserved to go through that game. Uruguay has been solid this competition. They won all their games bar one and will definitely be looking to make it to the final. I think we will see a tight match with little to separate both sides. I really like Uruguay at + 1.5, 2. If Brazil wins I can't see them doing it by more than 1 goal, and we'd have two goals covered with hat bet. Uruguay +1.5,2 @ 1.3 bet365
Uruguay 3-0 Brazil Uruguay with an upset! Result a bit flattering I think, but covered the handicap very easily. Bet won:ok
  11. Re: Copa America > Thursday 7th July

    Bolivia vs Costa Rica: Under 2.5 goals @ 1.61 bet365 and Costa Rica +1.5,2 @ 1.20 bet365
Both bets won:beer Things got complicated after Bolivia went two men down, I was a bit worried Costa Rica would score another, and if they wouldn't have sat back and waited for the clock to run out they probably would have. Great day for me!

  13. Re: Copa America > 8th-9th July Peru vs Mexico I was very surprised by Peru in their match vs Uruguay, I had seen Peru play several friendly matches prior to the competition and always sustained they were very organized and solid defensively, and it was reflected by the results, but they weren't finding goals, but I thought Peru vs Uruguay looked very dangerous at times. Vargas changed the match when he came on in the second half, he sustained an Injury and wasn't 100% fit to start, but perhaps he will be ready for this match which would be a huge boost for the Peruvians who will definitely be hoping to get 3 points here. Peru has recorded four consecutive draws and have only lost once since 2009 Eliminatorias. Peru has only conceded 5 goals in their last 12 games, which shows how much they have improved defensively under Markarian. I was also impressed by Mexico, not because of how good they were, because they were not necessarily good, but because I expected them to be worse. I saw them several times before the Copa America and they were pretty bad. Also given the huge scandal, they handled themselves very well I thought. They were organized in defense and kept Chile at bay for most of the game, which is a great accomplishment. I think they were incredibly lucky to score in their only real chance of the game though, and I can't see them causing too much trouble here. I can see a tight game here with little two separate both sides, but in the end Peru getting the result they need. I'm going to keep it very safe here. I can't see Peru losing, but given the way the Copa America has been I cannot discard a lucky goal from the Mexicans so here it is. High-stakes on this one. Peru vs Mexico = Peru +0.5,1 @ 1.28 bet365

  14. Re: Copa America > 8th-9th July Chile vs Uruguay Both Chile and Uruguay have a great attack. Uruguay's is better, but that's not to say Chile's is anything short of spectacular. Both teams looked like they could score goals in their first matches of this competition and having watched both these teams several times in friendlies prior to this competition I think they both can definitely score a lot of goals. Uruguay left a lot of holes in defense vs Peru and it cost them, will they make the same mistakes? Chile has never been solid in defense and really sometimes lose concentration and thus are on the end of some very avoidable goals. Only one of Chile's last 7 matches ended with less than 2 goals scored and I will remind everyone that it was vs Paraguay just recently and both teams played with alternative sides. Chile is good at attacking and scoring goals, not so much at defending. Meanwhile Uruguay haven't ended a match with less than 1.5 goals since the World Cup! They have played 10 games since the world cup and all of them had more than 1.5 goals. This game looks like it could easily go over 2.5 goals, but given how little goals we've seen in the Copa America thus far and how I don't want anymore surprises I'm going with a much safer bet here. I think Uruguay overall has a better team, but Chile will be practically playing this match as a home game. Its very hard to predict a winner here, so I wont. Uruguay vs Chile = Over 1.5 goals @ 1.4 bet365

  15. Re: Copa America > 8th-9th July Bolivia vs Costa Rica: Very interesting match. I can see a draw definitely. I don't really know if Bolivia is favorites to win this one or not, remember they recently lost a friendly match with Mexico U22 1-0. Defensibly we saw that Bolivia was strong, offensively we didn't get to see too much from them vs Argentina. Costa Rica prior to the red card was looking very equal to Colombia and I thought also defended well throughout the match, even when they were down to 10 men. In attack they weren't too good either though, but again, they were one man down. Everything looks very equal between these two teams and I can see a low scoring match for sure. Maybe a draw or slender win for either side. I went with the two following bets for this game: Under 2.5 goals @ 1.61 and Costa Rica +1.5,2 @ 1.20 bet365 Argentina vs Colombia: Tough match this one for both sides. On one side we have Argentina who simply have to win this match. I think the pressure could work against them here, but they also have amazing players which can change the match in a second. No changes other than Zabaleta for Rojo in Argentina. I thought he would play Di Maria or maybe Aguero instead of Lavezzi, but I guess not. For me at least this is good for Colombia. Colombia could score on the counter if Argentina aren't careful and Argentina's defense really is anything but solid at the moment, meanwhile Colombia's defense is pretty good, but don't expect them to play like Bolivia, they will probably be a bit more open and this will favor Argentina. I'm hesitant to bet on this game, on the one hand I know Argentina can hurt Colombia and are capable of scoring a couple, but I also know Colombia could hurt Argentina and also have good defenders. I'm going to go with under 55 points bookings bet. Only one game went over 5 bookings and it was due to Costa Rica being very dirty and also a referee that was very happy and eager to stick his hands in his pocket. Low stakes here though. Argentina vs Colombia = (card index)Up to and including 55 points @ 2.0 PaddyP

  16. Re: USA - MLS 2011 Thread NEW YORK VS TORONTO Odds are good in this match. NY RB overrated here at 1.4 on bet365. Yes the same Red Bulls that have only managed to win one game in eleven! I love NY RB they have proved to be of great value for any punter with the amount of draws they have come up with in their last 11 games. 8 draws out of 11 games is almost unbelievable. Toronto are also good at getting draws with 6 draws in their last 11 games. The Canadian side won their last two games so hopefully they have built a bit of momentum coming into this match. If I had to pick a result, I'd definitely go with a draw, even though I do believe NY are favorites to win. Toronto are anything but spectacular, but given NY's record and how poorly they have performed as of late, I feel this bet is very good. New York vs Toronto = Toronto + 1.5,2.0 @ 1.5 bet365 KANSAS CITY VS COLORADO Another interesting match. Kansas City hasn't lost a match in 9 games and have won their last 3 games. They are in great form lately drawing only once in their last 6 matches and winning 5. Colorado Rapids are another team in the MLS which is great for draws. They have drawn 7 of their last 10 matches. They aren't in very good form at the moment, and haven't displayed the best football. They only managed to win once in their last 10 games and are coming off of yet another draw and two defeats prior to that result. Kansas has some good players which I think can really hurt Colorado, but I know Colorado is capable of getting a decent result here and there. A draw is not out of the question here, though I think KC should just be able to edge Colorado. I can't see Colorado Rapids getting a win here no way. Kansas or draw is only at 1.2 on bet365, but you can get a +0.5 handicap on Kansas which is the same thing at 1.3. I took it. Kansas City vs Colorado Rapids = Kansas + 0.5 @ 1.3 bet365

  17. Re: Copa America > Thursday 7th July After a disappointing round 1 of betting for me, I'm hoping to get on the right track in this competition with round 2. One thing we saw is that every team will fight and that the underdogs really proved to be great bets. Will things change in round two? We will see, I guess. One thing for sure is, no team should be underestimated in this Copa America. Bolivia vs Costa Rica: Very interesting match. I can see a draw definitely. I don't really know if Bolivia is favorites to win this one or not, remember they recently lost a friendly match with Mexico U22 1-0. 18. Re: U17 World Cup 2011

Japan beat Argentina, New Zealand and Jamaica very convincingly, and drew with France. They have looked very good so far and come into this game with a lot of confidence after beating New Zealand 6-0! They are a very organized team, which is usual in Japans teams. They are very strong in the counter attack and are good on the ball. Brazil has played well too throughout the competition. Also winning 3 games and drawing once. This is going to be a good match between two of the best teams of the competition and we can expect a tight affair with good football. This isn't going to be easy for either side. I got Japan at 1.25 for 1.5 handicap on bet365 and I like it.
Final score Japan 2-3 Brazil. Bet won:nana Very entertaining match. Japan was down 3-0, but good football and not giving up got them a goal, they then had several chances to make it 3-2, but had very poor finishing. They finally got a second goal on the 88th minute. The final minutes were intense and Japan had a golden chance to take the match to penalties, but just missed out. Great game and bet won, so I am ok with the result. I'm just a bit disappointed Japan has been left out, they really played nice football and had interesting players.
  19. Re: Copa America > Sunday 3rd July

I think there is definitely value in under 3.5 goals at 1.57 on bet365. Brazil should win this game comfortably, but Venezuela isn't a walkover either now days. Brazil hasn't looked like scoring a bunch of goals in a while, after what happened to Argentina I think Brazil would happily take a 1-0. I think after scoring their first goal Brazil will be happy to pass the ball around, meanwhile Venezuela won't want to concede too many because it could cost them third place qualification so don't expect them to look for a goal even if they are losing. Can't see Venezuela scoring on Brasil either. Solid defense for the Selecao.
    Bet won:ok
