I wasn't being entirely serious about 5 at the back etc, it's just Steve Clarke is boring me to tears with his ultra cautious, dull, turgid football. We actually have a decent group of players at the moment, things should be a bit more entertaining. Super John scores again though, ooft.
Great result for you guys, the Czechs are a decent side but Belgium are on a different level.

Scotland should win tonight but I wouldn't be betting on it being comfortable. Clarke will probably set us up with 5 at the back, 2 holding and 1 up front and be happy with a 1 goal win. 

My initial thoughts were a draw also Steve but on seeing the team it looks to me like we're going a bit more attacking, more pace up front with Ritchie and Adams, rather than long punts to Dykes, formation looks like McGinn can play more advanced also. I think we can win this. McGinn with his customary goal of course.
 
 
 
 

Didn't back the draw unfortunately, I thought Scotland were far too defensive, Clarke needs to realise some games can be won by having a go at the other team.
Did back McGinn anytime at 5.50 though, my man crush on the legend that is Super John just gets deeper and deeper.

I think this is one of those games where Scotland need to be at their best to get anything from. Austria are a good side with some top players but Clarke has us well organised with a sprinkling of top players also, a low scoring draw wouldn't be a surprise.

I think the price on Motherwell looks about right @StevieDay1983, they've been left in a right mess by their ex manager and are in dire form, St Mirren are the better side.

That was the worst performance in a long time, not one player gets pass marks from me. Right from the start it was clear none of them were on it, poor first touch, passes going astray, second to every ball, slow, no energy or drive, just an awful performance. Whatever it was it needs to be fixed quickly.

I checked the odds for this game yesterday and saw the Hibs win  priced at 1.70 and thought that looks about right and was going to look for another bet. Got up this morning to see that the odds have went out to 2.05. I'm having some of that, thanks Santa.

You're right @StevieDay1983, Hibs should win this comfortably, we've been impressive the last couple of games and anything near that level tonight will see a convincing win. Max bet for me.

I'm going to have a wee punt on penalties myself @harry_rag, always worth a shot when Edinburghs Championship club are playing.

If it's Hearts it must be penalties eh @allyhibs ? They're at Dunfermline tonight and I think the prices justify a punt. Split stake across taken at 12/5 and scored at 3/1 with Hills and a buy of penalty goal minutes at 14 with SPIN.
Ref Don Roberston not an out and out penalty fiend and The Championship is his worst division but only a small sample. Quite a few in Dunfermline games as well. Taken is only 8/5 with PP which is ludicrous. I can't "prove" that these prices are value but my instinct is to go with the bets.

Unfortunately I had to go to work this morning Steve so celebrations were muted but that was a very well deserved and hard earned result. It's true it took a while for me to be convinced by Steve Clarke, his squad selections and results were poor to start with but it's clear that he's found a system that works and solved a couple of problems on the way, the belief the players have in themselves is clear as day and that goes a long way in football.
Finding a way to fit Tierney and Robertson into the side, dropping McTominay deeper, bringing in Declan Gallacher and Lyndon Dykes are all pieces of good management, he's even managed to get Callum MacGregor to finally show his Celtic form for his country. ( Dykes especially has been very good since coming in, does the job he's being asked to do superbly well). There's some decent young talent emerging also and for the first time in a long, long time, I'm looking forward to what this group could be capable of, we're certainly moving in the right direction.

With Hibs having played 12 competitive games so far this season, sitting 3rd in the Premiership and playing some decent football, they surely have an edge over Hearts, who have only just started their Championship campaign with 2 games played. Looking a both teams squads together, Hibs are clearly the better team at the moment and should cause the Hearts defence a lot of problems today. I know I wear my green tinted glasses always but I seriously feel if Hibs turn up today and play the way they're capable of then there is only going to be one winner. I think this could be a comfortable evening for Edinburghs good guys.

Got to agree with @willie82 above, Cove look a good thing today but at current odds of 1.50 I think it's one for the accumulators.
Kilmarnock v Hibernian.
I'm still wondering how Hibs didn't win last week at Ross County, we played some very decent stuff at times and could easily have won by 4 or 5 goals, 26 shots on goal and not one hitting the net tells it's own story and I'm getting the feeling we're due to give someone a hammering soon. A performance anywhere like last week should see an away win here at what I think look decent odds.

Rangers have been impressive this season, they're a very good side and could cause Standard a few problems, they'll certainly be in a very positive mood after just beating Celtic. With the news of players missing for the home side, backing Rangers looks tempting  but I think I'd be looking for better odds than the 2.05 that's widely available. It certainly wouldn't surprise me if they got a result though, as far as I can tell, they look like they're at full strength tonight.
