    All prices Bet365:
    12.15 Cheltenham - 1pt e/w Doctor Ken @ 16/1
Not sure why he's such a big price here - he wasn't impressive last time but possibly it came too soon after his seasonal reappearance and of these runners, looks one of those who will benefit most from conditions. His two half siblings were very smart and I think there's more to come from this one.
    12.50 Cheltenham - 2pts win Undersupervision @ 9/2
Very keen on this one today - has run well here a few times recently including last time out when the small field didn't play to his strengths. Wants a true test which he'll get today on this ground and I think he can win this.
    1.43 Southwell - 1pt win Straitouttacompton @ 15/2
Whilst the surface is different at Southwell now, quite a lot of course form has held up and this course specialist ran really well on seasonal return after wind surgery last time out. Didn't get a great run through that day but with fitness now on side, looks to have another good chance.
    2.00 Cheltenham - 1pt e/w Kauto Riko @ 18/1
Looks fairly treated still and ran well last time so a bit surprised about the price here - a stiff test over this trip on soft ground is spot on and was competing in top handicaps here with credit last season so no reason why there shouldn't be another big run.
    2.35 Cheltenham - 1pt e/w Spiritofthegames @ 12/1
Another one who can definitely win off his current mark and the return to hurdling looks a good move having failed to fire over fences last time. Relishes a good test which he'll get today and looks a big each-way player.

    All prices Bet365:
    1.50 York - 1pt e/w Hello You @ 8/1
Looks a cracking each way price to me having hacked up on debut and then twice run respectably behind Sandrine. Clearly that one is very much respected but Hello You is a buzzy type and has taken a keen hold on both runs behind the favourite. One of those came on heavy ground and the other came at Newmarket and I just think this track, where speed is more of a factor, will help. Has the hood on today, can bowl along and gets 3lbs from Sandrine, so I don't see why she won't run a big race.
    2.25 York - 2pts win System @ 5/1
Not sure why this one is easy to back, other than maybe because the Hannon yard aren't flying, but I think she should be favourite for sure. Has the best form in the race when beating Desert Dreamer and Cachet a couple of starts back and ran a little bit flat last time but that was still in a much better race than this. Hopefully will get a good tow into the race which seems likely given the size of the field and I don't think being drawn in the middle is a bad thing so lots in her favour.
    3.00 York - 1pt e/w Gifted Ruler @ 20/1
Needs a bit extra following a couple of good seconds the last twice but I think the move up to a mile for the first time is well worth a try given he's very much bred to stay the trip and he's been early off the bridle in two 7f races recently. He's off a competitive mark and can hopefully travel a bit better today with an extra furlong to help and this should be run to suit.
    3.35 York - 1pt e/w Eshaada @ 12/1
Clearly Snowfall is the one to beat but I still insist she's not an absolute beast given there are some question marks over what she's beaten having handled conditions better than anyone else at Epsom and then they all ran away from her in the Irish Oaks. She's very high class but I wouldn't want to get stuck in at the odds and with the ground against Wonderful Tonight, I think Eshaada looks a good alternative. Is lightly raced and still looked a bit of a baby when running a cracker at Ascot - wide and keen throughout and a bit unsure of what to do when asked to pick up but ended up finishing powerfully. This track will suit and whilst she has to step up a fair bit again, it wouldn't surprise me to see her shake up the big two (if Wonderful Tonight even runs).
    4.10 York - 2pts win Alflaila @ 5/1
Again, I think this one should be favourite having beaten the smart System on debut (hopefully that one franks the form for me earlier in the day!) and then had to give weight away in two subsequent novices - was behind Maglev at Yarmouth but wasn't beaten all that far and has a 9lb swing in the weights here which I think is a big factor. Alflaila then chased home a now 100-rated horse, giving it 11lbs, so hardly a bad piece of form for one going into nurseries here off 88. The extra furlong ought to suit (dam stayed a mile and she can get outpaced over 6f) so lots to like.
    4.45 York - 1pt e/w Brunnera @ 14/1
Open race and I thought Brunnera was interesting at a price. Has improved a lot for better ground and middle distances this season, with her only defeat coming to Portfolio (6/1 for this) a couple of starts back. Can race freely but shapes like 1m4f will suit well and the bigger field can really help her settle and finish off strongly. She's bred to be very good and there looks to be some further progress in her yet so appeals at the price.
    5.20 York - 1pt e/w Separate @ 20/1
I really think this horse has a huge chance today. Regularly appears in top races but is right down to a mark of 80 which appeals a lot because she doesn't always have her ideal conditions. I think 7f on decent ground is exactly what she wants - she was 3rd on seasonal reappearance over a mile at Nottingham off 8lbs higher and you can ignore her two runs on soft this season. The only other time she ran on decent ground was at Royal Ascot and she moved into contention going well before fading in the final furlong. Down the weights, down in class and down in trip I think she's got a big run in her.

    All prices Bet365 and all 1pt e/w:
    1.50 York - Major Jumbo @ 18/1
Has been overracing over 6f recently - including on soft ground which negates his peed - and I think the drop back in trip combined with this track, this ground and an easing in the weights can see him go very well from a handy position here.
    2.25 York - Imperial Fighter @ 15/2
Hard to weigh up his debut success at Goodwood on soft ground with few horses coming out since but had a couple of rivals well behind that day who had shown some form prior to the race and couldn't have done it much better. Has all the right entries and at the prices, looks the value bet.
    3.00 York - Yibir @ 17/2
Not always the easiest to predict but on his day he's very smart and put his best foot forward when winning at Newmarket two starts back. Pulled too hard at Goodwood behind several of these last time but the hood goes on today and the quicker ground looks sure to suit. Can see him bouncing back and going close today.
    3.35 York - Alenquer @ 9/1
This looks set to be a classic and although Alenquer looks a stayer at this trip and will need things to drop right, his form is rock solid and he was up against a pace bias at Longchamp last time. I can see them being more positive today down in trip and he already has one of the best pieces of form this season under similar conditions at Sandown. Think he has been overlooked slightly here and is my pick of the 3 year olds.
    4.10 York - Rajinsky @ 12/1
Typically consistent and although putting in a below par effort in the marathon race at Goodwood last time, he's the type to bounce back and can certainly be competitive again off this mark. Has run this track well before and the long straight will certainly help his style so can see little other than a positive performance today.
    4.45 York - Princess Power @ 9/1
Consistent type who finds winning a challenge but is essentially off her lowest mark in a while with Tyler Heard's claim factored in and the cheekpieces might just give her a lift. Shapes like a good pace over the minimum trip is ideal and looks likely to go well at an each-way price.
    5.20 York - Papa Cocktail @ 10/1
The form of his first two starts read very well in the context of this race - finishing 3rd behind two 100+ rated animals at Yarmouth before winning readily next time out and if repeating either of those two runs, will certainly be going close off a mark of 83. Disappointed, albeit in a group race at Newmarket when last seen but has had a break since and if that's done him some good, I think he'll go well.

    All prices Bet365:
1.50 Goodwood - 1pt e/w Smart Champion @ 15/2 (stays forever, very close in this last year, essentially 11lbs lower this year, okay prep runs but comes into his own under marathon conditions)
2.25 Goodwood - 1pt e/w Tactical @ 12/1 (probably playing for 2nd but worth a go at a mile and the improving ground will certainly help)
3.00 Goodwood - 1pt e/w Greenside @ 50/1 (open race so taking a punt on an old-timer at a price. Ran well here not long ago and was a bit drifter in the market before its run at Salisbury last time. 5lbs off his back today and could go well at big odds)
3.35 Goodwood - 2pts win Art Power @ 5/1 (this is going to be frantic and it might pay to have one with good all round pace. Art Power stays 6f but has plenty of speed and I think that could really help late on today.)
4.10 Goodwood - 1pt e/w Eagles By Day @ 16/1 (quite an open race and question marks over a couple of those at the head of the market so will chance Eagles By Day on seasonal reappearance at a price. Thought he would land a big stayers' race after winning at York but couldn't get home over two miles and although 1m6f may be ideal, this should be manageable in easier company today.)
4.45 Goodwood - 1pt e/w Maybury @ 7/1 (on its 2nd two starts back would have a big chance off a mark of 80 given the horse that beat it is now almost a 100-rated animal. Had an excuse when clipping heels at Ascot and I think they might go forward a bit more today as clearly stays 6f well and if doing so, can go very close.)
5.20 Goodwood - 1pt e/w Champagne Piaff @ 18/1 (big step up in trip after three runs at 7f last year but the form of his first two runs is extremely strong and makes him look well handicapped. Off since a below par run in a group race on heavy ground but given the strength of its form, interesting they've gone for this race rather than a shorter trip so an interesting candidate)

Has kept his powder relatively dry compared to some of these and I think will certainly be winning races off this mark. Bred to stay middle distances and saw out the mile very well last time to give the impression this will suit. The horse back in third that day has since won a handicap well off 78 so this mark of 86 looks well within reach and although beaten out of sight on heavy ground on debut, hopeful that this ground won't be too soft.
    2.25 Goodwood - Gis A Sub @ 11/1
This horse looks well overpriced to me as he's done nothing wrong in two starts and form ties in nicely with a few of these. Pulled clear with a good horse on debut when chinned on the line but it was this one's debut against a horse with a run under its belt (that one subsequently won well next time out too) and then Gis A Sub won at Pontefract from a horse who was 3rd in a French group race next time and the third then went on to be very closely matched with the favourite for this race. 11/1 looks huge.
    3.00 Goodwood - Sir Lucan @ 12/1
Brother to Sir Dragonet who did nothing wrong other than when behind Alenquer on seasonal reappearance but probably wasn't fully tuned up and then he beat Wordsworth last time out when upped to 1m5f. Was always likely to improve for middle distances and looks overpriced here with any give in the ground no problem.
    3.35 Goodwood - Zeyaadah @ 17/2
I was expecting her to win easier than she did at Newcastle but she'll enjoy the return to a stronger run race here and I had her down as a place certainty in the Oaks before the rain came. She travelled well but never picked up on the ground and I think she retains plenty of potential on her good second at Chester when not having a good run round. These conditions look ideal and I think she can kick on again today.
    4.10 Goodwood - Ardbraccan @ 8/1
Any form tied in to Inspiral looks strong and makes me think that this horse is fairly handicapped. Has done nothing wrong, improving with each start, culminating in that 2nd to what I think is a very high class and then winning last time out, digging in to get up. The extra stamina test on this ground will suit and I think this one can go in again.
    5.20 Goodwood - A Pint of Bear @ 12/1
This one has good all round pace and is a consistent type so I think can run well up in grade. Was a solid 2nd at York last time and previously rallied well to win at Catterick and whilst needs more here, has 5lbs off his back today and the soft ground at a speedy track can suit. Ought to be up there throughout and can make the frame at a double-figure price.
