    1.30 Lingfield - 1pt e/w Accomplice @ 13/2 Bet365
Strong finishing type who relishes this course and distance and only edges up the handicaps for its wins as only strikes the front late in the day. Consistent type who looks sure to be finishing well so long as it gets a clear passage so represents excellent each-way value here.
    1.52 Carlisle - 2pts win You Name Him @ 5/1 Bet365
Novicey so far over hurdles but has shown ability behind some decent types and this stiff track ought to suit. Would like to see more use of him today as typically gets behind and his jumping puts him on the back foot. Finishes well though and with a more positive ride could put it all together today.
    2.25 Lingfield - 2pts win Prince Rock @ 9/2 Bet365
Consistent type who's run well on all three starts this season when touched off here by a nose, a solid 3rd when too free at Chelmsford over 7f and then over a mile last time out when 7f suits better. An easy 7f around here is absolutely spot on, he's relatively high in the weights but can certainly win off this mark and should be bang there.
    2.45 Wincanton - 1pt e/w Punkawallah @ 28/1 Bet365
Has a bit to prove but has had excuses over fences and down in trip going chasing here I'd like to see him go forward and hopefully jump well. If doing so, could step up on recent efforts over trips too far.
    4.20 Lingfield - 1pt e/w Toolatetodelegate @ 15/2 Bet365
Yet another consistent type who is absolutely fine under these conditions and ran another sound race at Chelmsford last time - it's always tricky coming from off the pace at that venue and now back to Lingfield where he goes well off a lower mark, ought to be bang there at the finish.
    4.50 Lingfield - 1pt e/w Roundabout Magic @ 8/1 Bet365
Loves these conditions and another prime candidate to make the first 3 here. Needs a bit of luck in running but if getting it, usually comes home powerfully and still has a bit of scope off this mark.
Also done e/w fivefold on the 5 shorter prices and thrown Punkawallah in to an optimistic e/w sixfold!

Busy day but hopeful of some good results here. Fingers crossed! All prices Bet365.
    1.15 Yarmouth - 1pt e/w Folie D'Amour @ 50/1
Weak race and a big price for a horse who was placed off a 4lb higher mark just three races ago. She's far from anything special but was 3rd behind two horses who dominated from the front that day and although not backing that up next time, shaped okay again in a claimer last time. She's by Nathaniel so the testing ground ought to be okay and in a poor race I thought she was a tad overpriced.
    1.50 Yarmouth - 1pt e/w Media Guest @ 11/1
Media Guest is by Belardo out of a Footstepsinthesand mare and as such, should be right at home in the mud today on debut. Yard can ready them first time and there's enough to like on pedigree too. Dam went close on debut and in a race where some newcomers might not handle these conditions, Media Guest ought to.
    2.10 Windsor - 1pt e/w Bama Lama @ 10/1
Only modest but ran well for a horse rated 56 in a race where those who finished ahead are decent types, weighted 20-30lbs superior and should find this much easier. That was on soft so hopefully no ground issues here and even the 7f race at Chepstow it contested two starts back worked out pretty well and this one was prominent for a long way. This should be its easiest assignment now handicapping and has a solid enough chance.
    2.53 Yarmouth - 2pts win Maker of Light @ 11/2
Didn't move well last time out but can be excused for that and it actually makes an opening handicap mark of 62 look very appealing. Shaped well on its first two outings, keeping on without threatening and on either of those runs, this mark looks fair. Been given a break since that disappointing run and being by Mayson, should relish the soft ground today which will also make this more of a stamina test - another plus.
    3.10 Windsor - 2pts win Iconic Knight @ 4/1
In-form horse who would have won last time with stronger handling so remains off a decent mark and a testing 6f with ground as it is absolutely spot on for this one. Ought to go very close.
    3.30 Musselburgh - 2pts win Royal Brave @ 9/2
Put this up two starts back when having an appalling passage through but was clearly the best horse. Won readily at Catterick a few days ago and a 4lb rise shouldn't stop another big run here.
    3.53 Yarmouth - 0.5pts e/w Wise Eagle @ 40/1
Backed this one at Chelmsford last time but raced very wide throughout and faded up the straight. Has run over further than a mile on all starts since winning on the all-weather last year and in reality, it looks like he just doesn't stay. Dam was a sprinter and the return to mile might just help. Soft ground an unknown but his sire went on it so could run better now at a huge price.

    1.00 York - 2pts win The Tin Man @ 10/3 Bet365
The Tin Man might not be quite as good as he once was but he's still a solid group horse and ran a solid enough race in the Sprint Cup last time on the wrong part of the track. He's the best of these on figures and whilst the smaller field and track here should suit Dakota Gold, if The Tin Man can keep him within his sights, I think he can pick him up and assert his class with soft ground to suit.
    1.45 Newmarket - 1pt e/w Roseabad @ 9/1 Bet365
Doesn't have as glamorous a profile as some of these but did well to win over a sharp mile on firm ground on debut at Bath and that form is solid enough without being exceptional. This one is more about potential as she's from a family of quite stout stayers so the extra couple of furlongs here ought to really suit and soft ground shouldn't inconvenience either being by Awtaad. Can take quite a big step forward I think today to get involved.
    2.20 Newmarket - 0.5pts e/w Albadri @ 50/1 Bet365
Ran better than the odds suggested here last time over shorter, staying on without threatening but is bred to stay a mile and soft ground is no inconvenience so again, wouldn't shock me if he ran better than his price here.
    2.35 York - 1pt e/w Aasheq @ 16/1 Bet365
Is falling down the handicap quite readily and looks to hold some hope here. Ran solidly enough here in the red hot Bet 365 handicap three starts back off a 9lb higher mark and although flopping at Doncaster afterwards, returned with a decent enough run at Chester from a poor race position. This race looks slightly easier than the last time he raced at York, is well down the weights, conditions suit and looks a decent price.
    2.47 Chepstow - 2pts win Boldmere @ 4/1 Bet365
The money is down for the favourite but needs to step up again off this mark and I think Caroline Bailey's runner looks potentially capable of better off a fair enough mark having progressed well over fences last year. Destroyed a handicap field two starts back and was going to win a hot novice event when coming to grief at the last when last seen. Fitness taken on trust but conditions suit and ought to go close if fully wound up.
    3.35 Newmarket - 1pt e/w Smart Champion @ 50/1 Hills
Soft ground might not suit but at 50/1 I think he's a huge price as one of the stoutest stayers in the field and this test ought to suit. If he was a shorter price I'd maybe leave alone given the uncertainty about the ground but at those odds, will stick by him.
    4.15 Newmarket - 2pts win Breathtaking Look @ 11/2 Bet365
Did too much over 7f in a hot race last time but 6f on soft ground could well be this one's optimum and is at a track that will suit its positive racing style. Has a solid chance on figures and I think will be tough to peg back if the fractions are right.

    12.45 Newmarket - 0.5pts e/w Rani of Jhansi @ 22/1 Bet365
Competitive novice race but this one has a lovely pedigree and is with a yard who can ready one in David Simcock. Second foal of Group 1 winner Madame Chiang - the other foal being the group horse Oriental Mystique so plenty to like on paper. Dam hacked up on debut and Oriental Mystique ran well on debut before winning next time out at 2. Soft ground no issue at all on pedigree so whilst the market isn't speaking in favour, worth a nibble at the price.
    2.25 Newmarket - 1pt e/w Shine for You @ 20/1 Bet365
Has plenty to find here but conditions will be new to some of these, with soft ground and 7f, so I think Richard Hannon's runner could go well as conditions will certainly suit. If anything, will want further in time but the soft ground will make this a greater test of stamina, something this one has in abundance. Very promising on debut and did enough from the front at Leicester last time with the front two clear. Strong test at this trip will suit so hopefully gets a decent pace and could outrun the odds.
    3.00 Newmarket - 1pt e/w Namos @ 14/1 Bet365
Was well held behind Dream of Dreams when last seen on these shores but that race fell apart and he still finished ahead of Glorious Journey (5/1 shot here). 7f on soft ground is ideal and has a solid enough chance on ratings so looks a shade overpriced today.
    3.35 Newmarket - 2pts win Indigo Girl @ 10/3 Bet365
Looks to have a massive chance here. Still green when winning last time out, bred to stay middle distances so will get home no problem here and has the best form in the book probably so would be surprised if she didn't go extremely close today.
    4.10 Newmarket - 1pt e/w Luncies @ 12/1 Bet365
This one is progressive and still looks like there's more to come after a couple of ready wins over 1m2f and 1m3f. Not been hiked too much in the handicap and the extra emphasis on stamina today looks sure to suit on both running style on pedigree as is bred to stay well. Soft ground no problem and should go well.
    4.45 Newmarket - 1pt e/w Oriental Mystique @ 20/1 Bet365
Seems a bit overpriced today having run well behind Anna Nerium at Goodwood last time - don't think there was enough emphasis on stamina that day and could see her turning the form around at this more galloping and testing track. Soft ground no issue and looks a big price.

    12.30 Ayr - 2pts win My Name's Nipper @ 5/1
Got to side with this one today as was only a length and a half behind the favourite for today's race at Pontefract last time. That horse had the benefit of a run going into that contest too so every chance My Name's Nipper can turn the form around at a much more attractive price with the experience under his belt and a slightly easier track here.
    1.30 Exeter - 1pt e/w Authorizo @ 28/1
Hasn't been quite as good the last twice having looked the likely winner at Cartmel the time before, with the front two pulling clear. Soft ground an obvious excuse two starts back and perhaps the track and trip combination was too sharp at Hexham last time. Extra couple of furlongs and a stiffer finish could suit today and on ground that is a plus, could go well at a price.
    1.40 Ayr - 1pt e/w Mustaqbal @ 14/1
Has gone off the boil the last couple of starts but had a lot of runs in a short space of time and it might have just caught up with him. Has been given a few weeks off since and is only a pound higher than when winning at Ripon recently. Heavy conditions no problem and hopefully can resume his good form now freshened up.
    3.30 Exeter - 1pt e/w Manor Park @ 8/1
Shaped well on seasonal reappearance albeit in a poor race but let the form down when well beaten last time. Plausible that came too soon with this one showing quite a bit of form when fresh and the 47 days between that run and today could help. Not the strongest race in the world and if showing that promise again here, can go close off a reduced mark.

    1.00 Catterick - 1pt e/w Country Charm @ 8/1 Bet365
Big price but shaped well behind some solid yardsticks on debut when not beaten far. Trainer wouldn't have many debutant winners so eyecatching that he wasn't beaten far at all and should improve for the run too. Sire won a group one on soft so whilst unraced on this surface, there's promise there and is an attractive each-way price.
    1.30 Catterick - 1pt e/w Bert Kibbler @ 12/1 Bet365
Has improved with each race to date and was only beaten a couple of lengths last time out. On that evidence, this mark doesn't look beyond him considering he's progressing with each run and his dam had a similarly progressive profile in her short career. Another who looks quite a nice price today.
    2.10 Lingfield - 2pts win El Conquistador @ 9/2 Bet365
Has improved with each run to date and shaped well when 3rd last time out after a lengthy absence. On that evidence, the fact he's progressing with each outing and that each of his two half siblings have shown better form than this one has to date, there looks more to come under conditions that clearly are no issue.
    3.00 Catterick - 2pts win Jill Rose @ 4/1 Bet365
Put this one up when she won over c&d last time out under these conditions and I see no reason why she can't back it up off 4lbs higher. Won going away there having had to come from a bit off the speed and I think she could do better with a more prominent ride. She stays strongly under these conditions and with the favourite proving vulnerable at the finish a few times, I think this filly can back up her recent success.
    3.20 Leicester - 2pts win Majalaat @ 7/1 Bet365
Backed this at big odds a couple of starts back when running a sound race behind horses who enjoyed it on the front end on deep ground in a class 4. Has dropped down the handicap after a no-show last time but a stiff 6f on heavy ground looks ideal and now drops in grade to a much more winnable race. Hopefully can bounce back today and if so, can go very well.
    3.40 Lingfield - 1pt e/w Commonsensical @ 12/1 Bet365
I thought this one would win at Goodwood last time but showed nothing on horrible ground and I think it can prove wise to focus on the remainder of its form. On its two seconds previously, this looks a fair enough mark and conditions suit here. Not too worried about wide draws at Lingfield and the Dascombe yard is finally getting going after a slow start to the year. Plenty of unexposed types in here but this one looks capable off this mark.

Plenty of unexposed types in here but this one looks capable off this mark.

To those above, unfortunately the tragic news about BH will sadly be the answer to what I hoped was an innocuous thing ?
I came back on to post my selections at Wolverhampton this evening - I feel somewhat guilty doing so given the circumstances but the best tribute I suppose we can pay is to maintain and continue to build the community we have here, so I've included these below.

I don't know what to say. Absolutely devastating news ? From the first day I registered here to the present day I have been taken aback by the dedication and work of Graham and despite never meeting him, am absolutely gutted about this.
RIP Graham - sincere condolences to Suzy and the rest of his family and friends.
