    All prices Bet365:
    12.25 Hereford - 2pts win Lockdown Leader @ 9/2
Favourite has had a wind op but I have to take him on over 2m3f on bottomless ground given he can race freely and if doing so again is likely to find it a long way home under these conditions. Lockdown Leader is bred for stamina and it looked that way when staying on for a never dangerous 4th on its sole start in a bumper. Should find this test more to his liking and can hopefully outstay the market fancies.
    2.30 Hereford - 1pt e/w Rootless Tree @ 20/1
No show in two starts for his new trainer but fell at the first going chasing on first start so is likely to have needed the run last time back over hurdles. Didn't show up there but was a good winner of a novice under these conditions 12 months ago and also shaped well in a handicap off a much higher mark later on in the campaign. Heavy ground is no issue and if bouncing back to form now he's had a run, could outrun the odds.
    2.40 Exeter - 1pt e/w Arthur's Gift @ 11/1
Back down to a handy mark now and shaped as if in need of the run on seasonal reappearance. Was better than the losing margin suggests and should strip fitter now. A heavy ground test over three miles suits and looks an attractive price at double figure odds.
    3.05 Hereford - 1pt e/w Winged Isle @ 8/1
Caught the attention of the stewards last time when running on from the rear and the step up in trip looks sure to help. Bred to stay pretty well and had some decent form in a couple of novices at the back end of last year. Slowly came to the boil then before being pitched into a hot handicap on good ground first time out this year. Improved on that last time and now getting his stamina stretched a bit more, ought to go close.
    3.15 Exeter - 1pt e/w Rock on Aussie @ 20/1
This one has slid down the weights for quite a few poor runs but shaped a bit better the last twice over further, whilst looking like his stamina was stretched on both occasions. This drop back down in trip should suit this one who can travel strongly before weakening and down the weights again, today could see him in a better light.
    3.25 Southwell - 1pt e/w Coco Bear @ 8/1
Was an impressive winner at Yarmouth earlier in the year but hasn't been able to back that up since. However, has had excuses along the way and the drop back to 6f for this free going sort will suit. Has fallen down the handicap for defeats in races where things haven't gone its way and if taking to the surface can go better today.

    6.10 Wolverhampton - 0.5pts e/w Free Degrees @ 66/1 Bet365
The favourite looks to hold all the aces but I thought the places were up for grabs and at the prices thought it might be worth a small investment on Free Degrees who failed to enter the stalls last time but is related to a decent 2yo and an all-weather winner over a mile. May well need a bit more time but in a thin looking race will have a small play at a huge price.
    6.40 Wolverhampton - 1pt e/w Kodiac Brown Bear @ 18/1 Bet365
Drops back in trip after a decent run over 7f when last seen but is speedy enough on the evidence of its 6f runs and on his third around Chester earlier in the year, this mark looks potentially decent. Has to prove himself over the trip but at such a generous price I thought he could go well if getting a handy position.
    7.10 Wolverhampton - 1pt e/w Nezar @ 8/1 Bet365
Didn't act around Southwell last time but that can happen when you get behind the kickback there and previously had been running well at this track. This course and distance is optimum and I think is capable of bouncing back this evening.

    4.00 Kempton - 1pt e/w Gloucestershire @ 25/1
Big price on debut but is entered in the Derby and both of his half-siblings received ratings over 100 so is bred to be decent. Both siblings also won first time out so at the price, I thought he was worth chancing.
    5.00 Kempton - 1pt e/w Rainbow Sign @ 12/1
Has been well held in three novice events to date but was always unlikely to threaten against some superior rivals. Shaped okay however and now goes handicapping off a lowly mark. Is well drawn and related to a decent type so I think we can expect more this evening with Luke Morris on board.
    5.30 Kempton - 2pts win Dusty Damsel @ 5/1
This one has tumbled down the weights but goes well over a mile on the all-weather and can land this prize. Was a fast finishing 3rd, albeit well held, last time out but that came against rivals rated in the 60s and this is significantly easier. Hopefully will get a good pace to aim at and I think she's can pick them up late on.
    6.00 Kempton - 1pt e/w Island Storm @ 33/1
There's lots of things that need to go right for this one as plenty of excuses have been made for poor runs in the past but is well handicapped on old form and gets conditions to suit here. Has twice run over 1m4f recently which just is way too far and a mile is where its best form has come. Ran okay in first time blinkers at Newcastle two runs back and under similar conditions today, is worth a small investment at a huge price.

    All prices Bet365:
    12.20 Doncaster - 3pts win Defi Sacre @ 4/1
Very consistent type who was well in contention when coming to grief last time and also ran well on seasonal reappearance. The form of his two efforts that rounded off last season read very well now to suggest this mark isn't beyond him and I think he wins this with a clear round.
    1.15 Cheltenham - 1pt e/w Born Survivor @ 14/1
I thought a few of these were potentially handicapped to the hilt and Born Survivor has had excuses on quite a lot of his chasing starts - bled from the nose last time out, has run after absences a couple of times and a lot of his novice runs have come in top company. I think two miles might be his best trip in competitive races and looks quite a handy price considering he ran as well as could be expected in the circumstances here last time.
    1.50 Cheltenham - 1pt e/w Coole Cody @ 11/1
Usually when I get a win out of a horse I'll look elsewhere the next time but I do think Coole Cody will run well again. Was an almighty performance last time considering he slipped early on and went such a good gallop. Looked vulnerable but pulled away again at the finish and a 6lb rise doesn't look insurmountable. He's straightforward, jumps well and stays this trip all day so I think he's got a good each way chance again off a nice riding weight.
    3.00 Cheltenham - 1pt e/w Stormy Ireland @ 20/1
This looks wide open with Goshen the potential superstar but he hasn't been brilliant in two flat runs since the Cheltenham festival so will go for one at a big price. Stormy Ireland is at her best when cracking on with it over two miles over hurdles I think and has beaten some nice types quite easily in the past. Stays this trip well and can just crack on from the front I suspect. Ran okay over fences the last twice but can be quite careful at her fences which cost her the race at Bangor despite rallying well up the run-in and I think back to hurdles she could go well for a very long way at a big price.
    3.15 Doncaster - 2pts win Singlefarmpayment @ 5/1
Travelled like a dream on seasonal reappearance at Sandown and whilst isn't the easiest to win with, should strip fitter now and is just edging down the weights. Made an error at 2 out and faded thereafter but he's clearly in good heart and if the cards drop right I think he can land this.

    12.05 Cheltenham - 1pt e/w The Mighty Don @ 10/1
I quite like the outsider of the lot here...the favourite isn't proven over this far, the second favourite wasn't that much further ahead than The Mighty Don last time and the third favourite didn't jump well enough at Newbury for me last time. The Mighty Don is five times the price and there's little wrong with his win two starts back and ran okay behind L'Air Du Vent at Exeter last time giving that one 5lbs in the process. This stiffer test will suit and looks to hold solid claims at the weights so seems overpriced to me.
    12.40 Cheltenham - 1pt e/w Rowland Ward @ 20/1
Looks a big price here given he's done little wrong over hurdles and looks well handicapped on its victory over Thyme White last season. Shaped well on seasonal return when drifting in the market and needing the run but conditions suit, should strip fitter now and a mark of 129 is far from restrictive.
    1.15 Cheltenham - 1pt e/w Sweet Adare @ 8/1
Hasn't run too badly in a couple of chases this season but has had stiff tasks and also shaped as if the minimum trip was too sharp. Now runs off a lower mark than when last winning over hurdles and the step up in trip looks likely to suit as it has won over 2m3f over hurdles. Cheekpieces go on as well and Victor Dartnell's runners are in good form.
    1.50 Cheltenham - 2pts win Fanion D'Estruval @ 9/2
Really promising type who travels well, jumps soundly on the whole and appears to see out his races well enough to suggest the extra yardage here will suit. Did well to keep on again after pecking badly at the last here when last seen and could possibly have won without that mistake. Kalashnikov could be vulnerable late on here and Mister Fisher has a bit to prove after last time out so I think this is a rock solid option today.
    2.25 Cheltenham - 1pt e/w West Approach @ 15/2
It wasn't a pleasant watch last time when this horse loses ground at every fence but he wasn't quite so bad in the jumping stakes two starts back and if running that well again I think he'll win this. Has a big engine as despite not jumping at all last time, still loomed up with a chance and ultimately the 3m3f on soft ground just tired him out in the end. This is an easier race, the better ground might help his jumping and with even a slightly smoother round, I think he'll go close.
    3.00 Cheltenham - 1pt e/w Beau De Brizais @ 13/2
Jumped like a stag around here last time when beaten by Kingswell Theatre but the swing in the weights today and the fact that his conqueror has a good record fresh and that was its first run of the season means that I fancy Beau De Brizais to turn the tables today. Neverushacon hasn't quite matched his Irish form here and whilst this looks quite open, Philip Hobbs' runner looks a rock solid each way option.
    3.35 Cheltenham - 1pt e/w Boyhood @ 28/1
Tom George's runner looks a bit overpriced here having shaped okay if a bit laboured when last seen. That came after a lengthy absence however and has been given time tor recover since and he'd have a good chance on old form. He certainly stays and runs this track well and in a race where quite a few have to prove their stamina and/or their wellbeing, this one can keep galloping and hopefully make the frame.

    11.45 Lingfield - 1pt e/w Nebuchadnezzar @ 12/1
A few of these have to prove their stamina here and I think Nebucadnezzar can go well back on the flat having been running quite well over hurdles of late. Was in decent form in nice enough races when last seen on the level and this mark looks fair so quite like him at the price.
    12.55 Hexham - 1pt e/w Crank Em Up @ 14/1
Shaped well over four miles last time and I think you're going to need plenty of excess stamina at this track on heavy ground today. Should strip fitter now, he's off a good mark and looks a big price for a horse who's a guaranteed stayer and appears in decent form.
    2.15 Lingfield - 1pt e/w Pilot Wings @ 16/1
All of this one's best form has come on the all-weather so this is a welcome return to the artificial surface and has dropped down to a fair mark again with the rider taking off a further 7lbs. Ran well here three starts ago and looks a big price returning down the weights today.
    2.25 Hexham - 1pt e/w Final Fling @ 8/1
Another one with excess stamina here who likely found good ground too sharp for him at Newcastle when last seen. Is down the weights as a result and this test really ought to suit today so I think we'll see him go close now.
    2.45 Lingfield - 1pt e/w Libretta @ 9/1
Ran well last time when not having the clearest of passages but keeping on for third and that was its second run back from a long absence. Remains lightly raced so more to come and this is an easier contest too so quite a lot to like this afternoon.
