Appreciate Honeysuckle is on the downgrade but she's hardly run terribly in good company the last twice. Surely she's going to be bang there going to the last and if Marie's Rock fails to settle, might just be able to pinch this so rates as the bet for me at 11/4.

Not many of these have absolutely proven stamina and of those trying this out for the first time, I thought Tenzing was most interesting. Hasn't got the winning form to take this but shapes as if a thorough stayer and this could bring out plenty more and is a nice e/w price at 10/1.

Like Monbeg Genius here. Just seems to keep pulling out more and if you look at the form of his latest win, his new mark looks well within reach - on the face of it, a couple of lengths ahead of a moderate enough horse may not look so good at the time but the runner-up has gone well twice since to be rated much higher now. Should keep it simple towards the front end and should give his running at 13/2.

El Fabiolo looks the one to be on but he's not the best jumper in the world and I'm always wary of backing one who can clout a fence or two around Cheltenham, especially in a race like the Arkle. Dysart Dynamo has a bit to find but if getting into a rhythm, looks a decent e/w alternative and may just be able to pinch it on favoured ground at 13/2.

Reckon Samuel Spade is overpriced here. Done nothing wrong over hurdles so far and his mark looks perfectly fair from what I can see. Might not be the classiest on the flat but he has a bit of everything and I reckon he goes well at 20s.

Good race today. One of my favourites ever was the Coronation between Ask, Youmzain and Look Here - an incredible race between younger and older horses, different sexes etc. and one of the best finishes to a Group 1 I've seen.
