  1. Even as a Derby fan, I followed Darran's early Chorley tip, so I've got mixed feelings.

The general consensus amongst Derby fans is that it'll be a mainly U18's team. A lot of the U23's are already heavily involved in the first team squad, so will have been affected by the Covid situation. We're certainly not expecting a win, though we do have an excellent youth squad, regularly beating Premiership teams of the same age group.

I see Chorley are odds on now in many places.

Personally I'd call it as a 11/8 (home) - 15/8(away) call. The draw is a very real possibility.

It's certainly not a shoe-in for Chorley. I'm not cashing out though.

I'd offer up Bobby Duncan (Derby) as an 'anytime goal scorer' at 9/4 (Bet365) - remember to tick 'void if doesn't start'

  2. Barring handicaps, where there's team news about one team sending out a weakened side, I don't recall anyone on PL tipping a 14/1 football shot in a 2 horse race - and nailing it.

I must confess I was panicking in extra time, thinking it was too good to be true, and I cashed out - for a mere 13/1. ?. Awesome Darran. Even in your illustrious tipping history here, that must rank amongst the best and most satisfying.

Seperately, the Solihull Moors game was a bit cruel, in that they could and should have been at least two goals up in the first half before Morecambe woke up - which would have been a winner by Bet365's terms - which could have kept the " retirement acca " alive for at least a few more hours. ?

Whatever happens with the rest of your tips tomorrow, we're healthily in profit already. Form is temporary, class is permanent. Although your form this season so far this season has been off the scale...

  3. Strange price drift for for Hungerford at  home to Hampton and Richmond tonight. Top of the table Hungerford ( 5 wins out of 6 ) against mid table Hampton ( played 4,  1-1-2 ). Hungerford on the drift out to as much as 13/5 ?. Anyone know anything? Had to have a single at that price....

Edit. Strangely reversing the other way now. but Hungerford still generally available at 2/1+. Surely still value?

  4. daawe92. I think the Hayes/Harrow game is off.

I'm with you on the South Shields and Boston calls but oddly I was thinking of putting up Hemel to beat Billericay.

Billericay have lost all their first 4 games, only scoring twice. Against a much better side in Ebbsfleet on Saturday, the 1-2 scoreline appeared to flatter them, as Ebbsfleet had a goal disallowed at 2-0 up and should have been out of sight at half time.

To be fair, Hemel are no great shakes either, having lost their first 3 before Saturday but they appeared to have at least found their shooting boots getting past bottom of the table Braintree  4-3 away from home. Could have just been 2 very poor sides in a slugfest.

I'd favour Hemel with home advantage (at 6/4 with BV). Got me doubting now...

  5. Top work again Darran. ??.  A massive 8 pts+ profit. I hope my bumbling attempts at reciprocation helped somebody with the Ebbsfleet tip. Thanks again.

On a separate note to all other forum members, I do feel a bit guilty poncing off Darran's altruistic tips. Is there a way we could send him a bottle of his favourite tipple by way of appreciation?  I'm not very tecchy but I do think it would be a nice thing to do.

I respect his privacy and I know posting his personal details would not be wise. but I'd like to reciprocate in some small way......

  6. After many a month and year following Darran's tips, but not feeling brave enough to put up my own, I thought I'd tentatively dip my toes into the water for once, in the spirit of interactivity and sharing....

I had three, but Darran has already covered Oxford City. Perusing this week's other fixtures I noticed 2 others, not at chunky prices, but here goes... Without Darran's detailed insight, mine are based purely on form.

Firstly in the Non League South League. Billericay v Ebbsfleet. Billericay have lost all their first 3 games to middle and lower position teams, scoring only once in those 3 games. Ebbsfleet are a lot more free scoring - 8 goals but conceding 6 in their 4 games. 6/5 for the away side looks a decent price.

Secondly at marginal odds on in the Southern League South is Yate v Taunton. Yate have lost their last 5 games on the spin, Taunton, whilst not being spectacular are fairly consistent, losing only 1 of their last 6 - winning 3 and drawing 2 of their remaining others.  I fancy them to continue Yate's miserable run at a generally available 10/11 odds.

In the interests of just non-voyeurism, I thought I'd try to contribute my thoughts...

Edit:  Ebbsfleet's odds are surprisingly drifting and they can be widely  had around the 11/8 mark now.

  7. Shame Coalville was postponed - and the v v late Guiseley equaliser.  A 3 point loss feels like a bit of a reality check after your recent blistering form Darran. No one can keep delivering at that pace. I did cash out on Boston though after about 80 mins for a cheeky 1/2 point profit overall ?
