I believe the deadline isn’t until 3:00 on Monday (see the thread with the odds in).

Extended deadline because of the holidays and short notice set up. You can play week 1 until Monday 3pm on the later games.

Completely misss out on this because of the holidays!

Going to have a look at next years fixture dates and get the next comp up and running after the Christmas fixtures are out of the way.

F I N A L L Y . . . . .
Here we are with the end of season result of the competition.  The games were so long ago that I'd forgotten what a tough week for successful bets it was, our second worst week of the season and we only managed 19 winners and a loss for the week.  Maybe partly down to lots of glory bets understandably going for the high price win.  Bets of the week went to @Alley Cat Glover with a 10/1 double, and @MABS a 7/1 treble.
An overall losing season for us, Divisions 1 and 5 ended with a small profit but the star performers were Division 7 with a massive overall profit, well done guys.
Congratulations to our overall champion @cookro who has been around the top for most of the season.  One to follow with a modest staking strategy and 5 good wins!   Mention also to @Peter York who managed 7 wins over the season with only a couple of odds-on.
 
Overall table here (which determines your Division for next season).  Well done to the 38 who made a profit

Format
1) Entrants will be required to predict the Correct Score of the 48 group matches
2) Players will also nominate four teams from the competition in order of their main fancy being the No 1 choice
Scoring
In the group matches, by predicting a correct score you are in effect forecasting 3 main outcomes :
: - the actual result, whether or not both teams will score and if the game has under or over 2.5 goals
Points will be awarded as follows for all the 48 group matches :
3pts for the correct result of the game (1, X, 2)
1pt for correctly predicting if both teams score (or not)
1pt for correctly predicting under or over 2.5 goals
1pt BONUS for every correct score predicted
E.G,
Prediction 2-1 - actual result 3-0 = score 4pts (3pts for home win, 1pt for over 2.5)
Prediction 0-0 - actual result 0-1 = score 2pts (1pt for under 2.5, 1pt for both teams to score? No!)
Prediction 3-1 - actual result 4-2 = score 5pts (3pts for home win, 1pt over 2.5, 1pt both teams to score? Yes!)
Prediction 1-3 - actual result 1-3 = score 6pts (3pts for away win, 1pt over 2.5. 1pts both teams to score? Yes!, 1pt correct score)
Knock Out Phase
5pts if any of your nominated teams win their group
5pts if any of your nominated teams win a Last 16 match
5pts if any of your nominated teams win a Last 8 match
5pts if any of your nominated teams win a Semi Final match
5pts if any of your nominated teams wins the World Cup
BONUS 5pts if your number 1 team nominated team wins the World Cup
Any ties will be decided by how many correct scores predicted, then how many top 4 teams nominated correctly

Another week off for us with the International Break.  We'll be back next weekend

With some matches postponed and some not, and to make it more fair for everybody, we'll skip this weekend and restart October 1st.

Probably best to stick to Saturday.
I know what ruptions it causes if I amend any rules !

As a mark of respect there will be no Naps competition on Friday.

Looks like they are off, I'm just on my way out so will check back this aft for definite but it's likely we'll postpone the comp

I got 2 winners in my multiple and a non- runner  so my bet returned 26.88.  This yielded a net profit on the day of 18.33.  Many thanks to @TheBrigadierand @cannotbebeatfor providing me with the winners.  My MTD is +22.93 & YTD -273.64.  Let's I hope that I get more days like these
There are two meetings tomorrow with some good class racing at York.  there are a few class 4 and upwards races at Fontwell too.

Well some of us didn't do our homework very well and we had lots of misses to start the season off.  Well done to the 21 who found the winning combination, top marks go to @APitt1988 with a super 12/1 treble, next best odds @Kingdom for at 4.5/1 and @Marek76 at 3.5/1 with the other winners at short prices.   6 of you dived in head first with a half bank bet with only 1 winning, so we already have a few on oxygen. Don't forget it's 10 weeks and down to a 10p bet in final week if it all goes wrong!
Well done to Division 8 who made an overall profit, and Division 1 not too far behind with just a small deficit.
If you forgot to turn up for week 1 I will tag you in your Division thread and hopefully we'll get nearer to full turnout this week
