  1. Re: UEFA Euro 2016 Qualifiers > Thursday October 9th

You would be seriously amazed to know what sources do betting companies used. I'm pretty sure some must come here once in a while.
I worked as a football odds-compiler for almost 20 years for 3 of the major UK bookmakers, and I can assure you that every major bookmaker will have at least one of it's compilers or traders look at this site on a daily basis........not to see where they're going wrong with their prices! ......but just to get a general idea of where the money is likely to go, and which teams punters are likely to back. There are also a few members of here whose views and opinions are respected by compilers and professional punters alike........and if and when they recommend something strongly, several hundred other punters (including some big professional punters) .....will follow them in.....thus shortening the prices. I rarely post on here......because I don't usually have time......but what I have said is true.....from the inside. My advise would be.......if you have something special, don't post it until the day of the game.
  2. Re: Sky Bet Championship > Tuesday April 8th Wigan 0 Millwall 1 Just got back from the match. As expected Wigan rested most of their first choice 11 (Emerson Boyce was the only regular starter who played the full 90 mins), one or two other regulars.....Powell and McArthur came of the bench and played 30 mins or so. Millwall scored a rather fortunate goal in the first half, when a massive deflection wrongfooted everyone and looped into the top corner. The away side then "parked the bus" for the remainder of the game, defending their penalty area with 10, or all 11 players most of the time, and used every possible opportunity to waste time (even in the first half!). A tired-looking and unmotivated Wigan dominated possession but could not find a way through a resolute and determined Millwall defence. This looked like a match that the Wigan players wished that they didn't have to play, ahead of the FA Cup semi-final with Arsenal. As with so many games at this time of year.........the more highly motivated team, that needed the points more......got the result.

  3. Re: Sky Bet Championship > Tuesday April 8th

So what about Millwall X2 also good bet?
Could be! Although, as a very cautious punter who likes to play safe, the Millwall +1.0 or the Millwall +0.75 lines appeal more. It's difficult to be as objective as usual when you're opposing your own team! .......but Millwall certainly have a much better chance tonight than the odds imply!
  4. Re: Sky Bet Championship > Tuesday April 8th

Wigan have secured their spot in the playoffs after the win against Leeds and they face a big opportunity to play in the FA Cup final for the second time in a raw if they beat a poor Arsenal side on saturday. Given the fact that the game will be played on Wembley is also a huge boost for the younger players in the squad who will play there for the first time. Having this in mind, and thinking of the Millwall's desperate need for points, I'll take Millwall +1 AH @ 1.80 at Bet365 because I think Wigan will rest some of their key players and if they still win, i don't think they'll have a margin of more than one goal, so I'll be pushed, but still in the game. Cheers from Bucharest!
Totally agree with this bet! I'm a Wigan season-ticket holder.......who will be at the game tonight. On Saturday Wigan players looked very tired in the second half of the 1-0 win over Leeds, and were hanging on, quite desperately at times in the last 20 mins. Manager, Rosler knows how tired the players are, and will rest all of the main faces tonight. These players have played more games this season than almost any other English club..........2 games per week almost every week since August with the Europa League involvement before Christmas, the FA Cup run and catching up on all of the backlog of postponed League matches. A play-off place is now almost assured.....with a 9 point gap between Wigan and the 7th place club with only 6 matches to play .......2 wins from their final 6 league matches should be enough to ensure a play-off place.........and they might not even need that! I don't expect any of the players who started the game on Saturday to start tonight.......so it will be a Wigan reserve team that takes the field......and, to be honest I don't believe that anyone at the club would be too bothered if we drew tonight. Everyone's mind is on the FA Cup semi-final against Arsenal at the weekend. If Wigan do manage to win against, what will be a highly motivated Millwall side.........it is extremely unlikely to be by more than 1 goal........ Wigan have only won 3 home league matches out of 20 by more than 1 goal..........and those were with their strongest 11 players starting! Big value on Millwall +1.0 tonight!
  5. Re: Brazil Paraense liga: 20th March

Date: 19 Mar - 20:30 BRT League: Campeonato Paulista Serie A2 Game: Rio Branco vs Santo André Selection: Santo André AH 0 @ 2.05 Bet365 The home team is still struggling to fight against relegation , dismissed several players this week , and to contribute a little more to the turbulent time the team went through one of its main players : Otacílio Neto was suspended in the last game and fined 30 % of your salary , or the technician said that the team plays the way he wants to and respect the players spend time or he drops everything. The St. Andrew the contrary has one of the best teams in Serie A2 and live moment with several excellent matches unbeaten and is the best visitor of the competition , an excellent live stage between coach and team pursuit and earn points to climb since it is one of the candidates from the beginning. Total value upon visitors, Santo André has more team has experienced players and lives a good phase , the principal players here have layoffs , fights between commission and time , and to top it loses its best striker for the game is hard not to see this odd value for the Bluebird .
    Great work DaniloPereira! Well Done!
  6. Re: Brazil Paulista A1 - 2014

    FT 2 x 5 - WIN FT - 0 x 2 LOST (Surprise here)
Well done with Santos! I followed the Penapolense match and they were certainly unlucky to be beaten. Penapolense totally dominated and were caught out twice on the counter-attack! Amazingly they had 18 shots on target but failed to score - on another day they would have scored 3 or 4 goals. I'm impressed by your tipping so far DaniloPereira..........keep up the good work!
  7. Re: Ligue 2 > December 19th - 21st I've backed each and every one of meatman's selections so far this season, and I'm comfortably ahead to the tune of around 12%. Shock results happen in every league, and in every country........it certainly DOESN'T mean that there is any fixing going on ................every team, and I mean EVERY team, has an off-day once in a while. Keep up the great work meatman! Hope you post your selections for Friday/Saturday/Sunday matches.

  8. Re: Ligue 2 > December 13th - 16th

Meatman' date=' stop giving predictions. You're costing us punters money. Most of your predictions about today's league 2 - soccer matches were FALSE!! Just STOP!!!!!!!!!![/quote'] You really are an absolute idiot of the highest order! Meatman is one of the most knowledgeable, hardworking and shrewd punters that anyone could ever come across. Everyone, even the very best professional punters, have losing days. If you aren't prepared to lose..........then don't bet at all..........this game is too grown-up for you!
  9. Re: Europa League > Thursday November 28th WIGAN v ZULTE WAREGEM +0.5 & +1.0 ZULTE WAREGEM 1.89 SBOBET Having watched all of the games in this group (either in the flesh, on TV, or seen the highlights), I can't believe that Wigan are so short to win this game (around the 1.75 mark!). I've been to all of Wigan's home matches this season, as well as around half the away games (including the away trip to Zulte Waregem .....which was played in Bruges), and I have to say that the Latics have not really impressed me in any match other than the opening day 4-0 success away to Barnsley. Wigan are not playing particularly well at present, and created very little in the 0-1 home defeat to a mediocre Brighton side at the weekend. In the reverse fixture, Wigan were very lucky to come away with a 0-0 draw, where only a mixture of last-ditch defending, poor finishing from the Belgians and a large dose of good fortune prevented a comfortable Zulte Waregem victory. The Belgians have only lost 1 league match so far this season domestically, and I thought that they were very impressive in their 3-1 win over Mechelen last weekend. They are certainly in much better form than Wigan at the moment. I rate Waregem as a slightly better side than Wigan. I am expecting a close game, as both sides still have a chance of qualifying for the knockout stages. I think that the Belgians will collect at least 1pt from this fixture, and they may even get all 3pts. But I am a cautious man - so I have played the +0.5 & +1.0 line so that I will return half my stakes in the worst case scenario of a 1 goal home win. Wigan have only won 4 of their 8 home Championship matches so far this season, and Zulte Waregem are certainly a bit better than any side in the English second tier.

  10. Re: England > Midweek > Skrill Prem Nov 12 Whilst the conference is not a league that I often bet on (there are many on here that know far more about it than I do), I could not resist backing Southport, now that the price has drifted on the Asian markets .............they are currently making Lincoln favourites for this match! SOUTHPORT Draw No Bet 2.00 SBOBET very surprised to see the Sandgrounders drift so much, given their W5 D2 L1 home record in the conference (they beat leaders Cambridge at home recently). Lincoln have been poor on their travels, and are winless away from home since August. Even money Draw No Bet about Southport is great value in my opinion......and, unless I'm missing something.......the wrong price!

  11. Re: Ligue 2 > November 8th & 11th Everyone has a bad day every now and again meatman. Your tipping this season has been outstanding - the best I've ever seen on the French Leagues. I guess you were due a bad day sooner or later. You've probably got the largest number of followers on this forum - we've all got great faith that you will return to your usual form on Saturday and Sunday!

  12. Re: UEFA Europa League > Thursday November 7th

Maribor went down to 10 men after 57 minutes, which would explain why Zulte had plenty of the ball in the last half hour. Maribor also had 13 shots on goal, 7 of which were on target. Good luck with your bet (albeit I am on the opposite) :D
Having read the match reports, I am aware of Maribor's Red card on 57 mins ..........I must admit though, that I was very surprised when I got home from the Wigan v Rubin Kazan match, to see that Maribor had beaten Z Waregem. I still can't get it out of my head, just how poor Maribor were against Wigan last month at the DW - ask all 12,500 Wigan fans that were there, and they will all tell you that Maribor are the worst team any of us have seen at the DW this season. Good luck with your bet anyway.
  13. Re: UEFA Europa League > Thursday November 7th .5MARIBOR v ZULTE WAREGEM ZULTE WAREGEM +0 & +0.5 1.87 sbobet I know that I ended up with egg all over my face in the last round of matches when I tipped Zulte Waregem to beat Maribor, but from the translated match reports that I read, along with the match stats, Zulte Waregem were the better side, but simply failed to take their chances, whilst Maribor scored with virtually every shot on target. I watch 15 - 20 matches every week, and every week I see at least 1 or 2 of those matches where the stronger team, who dominates the game, and has the greater number of shots ends up losing - as they fail to take their chances......whilst the weaker side scores with virtually every good chance they get. AS I said, I've watched both of these teams live in recent weeks, and Zulte Waregem are the stronger team - they have taken a full squad of fully fit players with them to Slovenia, and I expect them to at least get a draw, whilst having a fair chance of winning. I wouldn't put anyone off the 2.21 DNB with sbobet either. btw around 80 Wigan fans have made the journey to watch Latics at Rubin Kazan (including one of my neighbours) - I expect Rubin to win, 1-0 or 2-0 based on what I saw of them at the DW a fortnight ago. kick-off in 30 mins
