  1. Re: Cash Players Toolkit Cheers for the advice everyone, it gives me a start at least. :ok Checked out twoplustwo book forum and ordered Harrington on Cash 1 and 2 on their advice. Downloaded the vids from DC (Didn't expect them to be so long:eek). Going to have a read and watch and dip my toe in with a few quid I have in my paradise account at some point over the next couple of weeks.

  2. Re: Cash Players Toolkit Cheers GaF. some good info here. I was going to dive in and play a few games straight off, get a feel for it again. Think I'm going to hold off for a week or so though, watch some videos, read a bit, get an idea of how I want to play. I've got a couple more questions. How do I find out which sites have good rakeback deals? Similarly, how do I find out which sites allow datamining etc.? And on the subject of datamining, I probably could leave my PC going 24/7. What kind of things can you do with the data, what software is out there to do it?

  3. Re: Cash Players Toolkit

I'm only on my weeks trial at the moment' date=' but yes it seems to - there appears to be no protection - they even offer you a download link :loon Of course doing it that way will mean you dont get the new material and you wont benefit from the community discussion aspect....[/quote'] Cool. Forum is free though isn't it?
  4. Re: Cash Players Toolkit

Suggest you get yourself on deucescracked for at least a week - you can get a weeks trial free :ok (you have to sign up with your credit card' date=' but cancel within 7 days and they wont charge it)[/quote'] Cheers. Can you sign up for the weeks trial and save all their content to your HD?
  5. Re: Cash Players Toolkit

If you're a novice to cash I wouldn't start with less than 40 buy ins, so whatever money you have work out what level you need to start at. I think $10 games are the lowest 5c/10c so you would need $400 to kick off.
That's more like it:lol So a buy in is 100bb?
  6. Re: Cash Players Toolkit

Did you play cash before Paul? If not then I'd tread carefully. If you did then fire in at what level you feel is comfortable for your bankroll some say 50 buy ins some say 20 ;), so if you have $2000 then .50/1.00 my be a little high so see how you go at .25/.50 etc etc. Books :unsure dunno I hear Harrington has a cash book out but cash has more layers than a Man City onion and I do not think books are a good learning tool. Whereas forums and group discussion and experience is. Sites is a difficult one as players like the mole live on boss other prefer stars and hate boss bla bla bla. I prefer ipoker for cash no particular reason but that I make more money there, so I guess it is trial and error. PT3 or Holdem manager are essential for tracking your play and others ;) and table selection tools from spadeit make finding the table and the player you want to play much easier. Good luck :ok
$2k bankroll? I must admit I don't have £1k knocking about to start with a bankroll that size. Is that really how much I'll need? Hmm... need to give this some more thought. Really don't want to play tourney, it's too much of a grind and too time consuming to win decent money. Once you're in the tourney you're in. That's your night over.
  7. About time I started playing again, haven't played for aaaaages mainly because I find I just can't commit the time. Anyways going to play some cash, mainly because I can dip in and out rather than committing hours on end of my nights to MTTs. So where do I start? What books would be recommended for starting to play cash? What sites? What about the software for anlaysing your play or tracking other players, is that useful? Decided to just forget everything I thought I knew about poker (didn't take long :))and approach this as a total noob, so any advice is welcome:)

  8. Re: Autumn Boxing

Mosley vs Mayorga should be an absolute belter. Also very interested in Pavlik vs Hopkins. Pavlik has looked awesome in some of his bouts lets see how he'll do against the legend Hopkins.
Pavlik V Hopkins was going to be my next write up. Although I will say now it's BHop all the way IMO.
  9. Nice few weeks of boxing lined up. Going to try and give a bit of betting analysis the ones I'm interested in. If anyone wants to add any fights feel free. Autumn schedule is: Sept 27 (HBO) - Shane Mosley - Ricardo Mayorga Sept 27 Andre Berto - Steve Forbes October 4 - Arthur Abraham - Raul Marquez October 11 - Chad Dawson - Antonio Tarver October 11 - Vitali Klitschko - Samuel Peter October 18 - Hugo Garay -Jurgen Brähmer October 18- Kelly Pavlik - Bernard Hopkins October 24 - Lucian Bute - Librado Andrade Nov 8 (HBO) - Joe Calzage - Roy Jones Jr Nov 15 (HBO) Jermain Taylor - Jeff Lacy Nov 15 Kermit Cintron - Lovemore N'dou Nov 22 - Paulie Malignaggi - Ricky Hatton December 6 - Manny Pacquiao - Oscar De La Hoya I'm going to start with Klitschko V Peter. Intriguing fight this one. Vitali has been out of action since december 2004 (was it really that long ago:eek) when he beat Danny Williams. But it just goes to show the state of the division when his comeback fight is for the WBC title. Not only that he's still the most credible heavyweight out there. Samuel Peter is a supposed big hitter, but was taken to points by James Toney twice, jameel Mccline once (getting put down 3 times in the process) and was KOd by Wladimir Klitschko, who is supposedly chinny. He's a bit of a fraud for me, well maybe not a fraud, just overhyped. He's a big lumbering heavy, with little skill and even after 4 years out Vitali should be faaar too slick for him. Only one result here for me: Klitschko by KO. No price up yet as far as I can see but I'll definitely be having a snifter.

  10. Re: The Official PL Big Brother Thread..

It's amazing just how many people 'don't watch it'
Why is it amazing:unsure Used to be good. Not anymore. Don't see why it's different to any other program that used to be good. Tell you another thing that's changed about it. It used to be aimed at adults, post watershed. It's aimed at 15 year olds now, it's like Hollyoaks, but without the freaks.
  11. Re: Rugby League: Super League XIII - Round 15

O.k spill the beans Punto.............By the way if you support your home town club Wakefield' date=' well done on a great season so far. You play some very entertaining stuff and I always enjoy my short trip to your ground.[/quote'] Have you ever lived in Wakefield? I knew a lad called Karel in Wakefield years back, when I was at primary school and it's not exactly a common name round those parts.
