Certainly not in my opinion, they dominated large parts of the game v PSG, looked very threatening, Hiddink has certainly got them playing like a Top 2-3 side at present.

Fcuk knows what will happen, always thought it was too early to get serious about Cheltenham, how many horses we lost this last couple of weeks and how many more in the next month!

Trainer says hes never ever had this horse better than hes got him now and just wants to get him to fest in one piece .....if thats true hes rated 171 rpr at best and trainer would know .....only a completely fit annie power could  even come close to that and bear in mind since april 2014 hes run 9 times and won 7 !!! ....unbelievable record ....dont think he would have liked heavy last time but still ran around 7 secs outside standard adjusted  which puts him smack on target now for a shot at the standard time on better ground ... ideally g/s .....I think his price is unreal ....fab value .....id be disappointed if hes out the frame at least 

I thought The New One made very hard work of his two wins so far this season Richard, certainly didn't look impressive anyways. Beat Stephanie Frances 2 lengths, a horse who has won at Listed level. Finished 7 lengths off Faugheen but only 3/4 length ahead of Hargam that day and beat Rayvin Black by 2 lengths last time out, a horse who has won a Class 2 handicap at Sandown.. Has to improve a lot to win the Champion for me, but with Faugheen out of the race, a lot of these "Outsiders" certainly do have to be considered now. 

Have decided to go with the sell of Horsey at 46. Still suspended with Spreadex but no sign of a drift in the market and he's reassured someone who asked on Twitter that he'll be fine for tomorrow.

We lost a lot of threads when we changed PL server so lost all of the data unfortunately lads.

Though missed the cut last week, has had a couple of decent tournaments this year. Also this course is more suited to his A game of straight driving and an elite short game having finished 6th here 2 years ago
 

Riviera Country Club when it's fast is a brute of a golf course. January and February have been relatively dry, so we should get conditions that we saw in 2012 and 2015. A little rainfall overnight on Wednesday may soften just a touch, but punters should be looking at supporting players who can grind with scores higher that -10 likely.

An inland course, which features no water, tight fairways which are tree-lined married to deep bunkering make this a real-test. The course undulates and relatively small bent poa annua green complexes repel approach shots. par on plenty of holes is a great score.

I'm looking for PGA Tour focused players who know how to grind + can scramble and play the ball comfortably from left to right. So that gives me Justin Rose (18s), Haas (35s) English (66s) and Horschel (90s).

Not a bad field here at all  going to have 3 bets here the main one being lto winner Matsuyama 18's e/w boyles comes here off a win will be brimming with confidence this lad has a great future nothing seems to bother him a cracking wee player  he  can go well again this week, Two at bigger prices again e/w  Luke Donald  110 /1 corals gone well in this in the past better effort by him last week could bounce back from the wilderness. Keegan Bradley 66/1 boyles another player who likes it here hopefully can get involved this weekend.

Sprinter Sacre is nowhere near the force of old and on this seasons' evidence Sire De Grugy is in the same boat, Un De Sceaux jumped poorly at Ascot and still beat him convincingly. Dodging Bullets had no prep run, so can't have him. Deffo agree that the each-way bet of the race is Special Tiara and I think that horse will fill 2nd place, but Un De Sceaux looks a different class to this field. We can try pick holes in his form but the fact remains he would be 16/16 only for two falls.

Good point and I just went and watched that race back. A couple of horses tried to take him on early but couldn't cope and by the time he was turning away from the cheap seats he was comfortably on his own in the lead. To me he seems to just run his own race regardless of who comes alongside.
 
 
Yeh that's the conundrum in that will Special Tiara pose more of a threat than any of those from last year which he realistically should. The two things I would add to the debate are that even if it was a poor Arkle last year, it is probably as almost as bad of a Champion Chase this year. Last years was bad too and Special Tiara had the run of the race but still got beaten by Dodging Bullets and more worryingly Somersby. Gods Own does jump to the right some of the time but two of his best performances (at least on ratings) have come at Cheltenham and Aintree.
I would definitely agree that UDS is better on soft ground however it was pretty quick on day 1 of last seasons festival (good or possibly better) and it didnt seem to bother him at all. He jumped with zest, travelled great and powered up the hill so its not conclusive.
In regards to the Sandown run, looking back at the replay, I didnt think that Special Tiara jumped as well when Sire De Grugy took him on. Normally Special Tiara doesnt touch a twig but he was untidy at a couple and outjumped by Sire De Grugy. Furthermore he was also taken on in the Champion Chase the year before and beaten more readily.
On the evidence we have, I believe that Special Tiara will be more affected than Un De Sceaux.
 
 

Fair point there mate, he is clearly a soft ground horse and although he won both starts on good ground, it was against poor opposition. You could have an angle in there. 

Don't really fancy many in this and it its wide open  ill have 2 small e/w interest bets Shane Lowry  45/1 SJ paying 6 places playing very well at the mo seem to be really enjoying his golf  played well in this last year. Bryce Moulder 80/1 PP 7 places good effort last week  has gone well here in this last few year not  won  many comps but as i said in good form and does ok here worth a small bet at the price.
