Wishicould.....from Charlie Mann yard the 6yo was a winner of a point-to-point at 3m heavy before coming to Rules Races in December last year and January in novice hurdles where she found a 4th and 3rd place finishes , Those races set her up for her first handicap race and a rating of 110 at Plumpton 3m 1f soft when she rallied before 2 out and stayed on from last to snatch 2nd final stride ,

Jockey Tommy Dowling has been in saddle in all three and is still getting the 7lb allowance and still off 110 mark

He had a 2nd and 3rd here about this time last year with the 2nd place coming in class 2 off 82 mark, he goes off that mark today and has Clifford Lee in saddle claiming 5lbs

Jockey Luke Morris was in saddle in last race off 51 mark but yard bring young claimer David Parkes getting 5lb allowance with horse running off 53 after that 2nd place finish in last race, so she's 3lb better off for this race

Theatre Act....from the Chris Grant yard the ex jockey now trainer with wife runs this 6yo who's been successful in two hurdle races at 2m 1f and 2m 4f on good and soft ground which came at start of this season in October and November last year both runs at Carlisle ,

Those wins saw her mark go up to 103 from 95 and yard gave her another two runs before end of year which saw two 5th place finishes at Market Rasen and Newcastle both 2m 4f GS and Soft , She's now had a wee break of 43 days and yard had time to work on stamina and fitness with that extra weight rise ,

She's ran here five times and has been placed 4 times with a 2nd and 3rd over today's distance , The yard bring Brian Hughes back in to ride and was in saddle for those two wins and runs off 101 today down 2lbs for that last 5th place run

Hopefully the yard had plenty of time to work on him and the fitting of cheekpieces today instead of blinkers he wore in last two races, seems to me the yard feel that they could be more improvement with him cheekpieces as they've probably tried at home , They;ve had time to work on stamina and fitness as he's still developing , Jockey Tom Marquand is in saddle for first time and handicapper took a 1lb off to 69 now.

Has won ten races from 5f to 6f including five wins on the all-weather four of which have been on Polytrack , He ran here 9 days ago over this distance and was squeezed for room and hampered and never really got back in race and finished one pace inside final furlong but was still only beaten by 3 lengths in 6th place with Tom Marquand in saddle off 54 mark

He's off same mark but yard bring in Tim Clark who gets a 3lbs allowance and could be the surprise package today

As De Mee....from Paul Nicholls yard the 7yo been a winner of three hurdle races, a NH flat race and two chases from 1m 4f to 2m 5f on ground varying from good to soft to heavy but is still looking to master Cheltenham in four runs here he's only found one 2nd place in class 2 over 2m 4.5f handicap chase going good ,

He comes here on the back of 2 wins and 8th of 17 runners here in November this year but followed that up with one of those two wins at Aintree 29 days ago in 2m 5f class 2 handicap chase off 137 mark good to soft , He goes today off 145 in grade 3 class 1 race with Sean Bowen in saddle again , I would hope that the horse can come on again from that last run and is at a good yard that can find more improvement

Kayf Charmer.....from Linda Blackford yard a small yard from Devon that has 7 horses in training this one only came in November 2015 with the 6yo been successful in two hurdle races at 2m on good and heavy ground and various place finishes since coming to yard, The yard brought her out 26 days ago at Chepstow Equestrian Surfaces Mares' Handicap Hurdle 2m Good To Soft when she hit 4 out and weakened after that to finish 28 lengths behind Bobble Boru when fifth of 10 runners , Hopefully that's blew the cob webs off after her summer break , She's down a 2lbs to 91 mark and young jockey Conor Smith still gets the 5lbs allowance

Perfect Candidate....from Fergal O'Brien yard who trains nearby in Naunton and would call this his local track , he saddle a 9yo who is a C&D winner on this new track already in April this year before going away for a summer break , He's been a winner of a hurdle race and four chases from 2m 4f to 3m 2f on ground varying from good to heavy with two of the chase wins coming here this year ,

He came out 30 days ago at Bangor 3m good to soft when he finished 11th of 13 runners and was beaten 45 lengths hopefully the yard had this race in mind and Bangor race was just a prep race, for what ever the yard saw in that race there having the cheekpieces on for first time,

Jockey Conor Shoemark keeps the ride and was onboard last win here

Point The Way....from Brian Ellison yard the 5yo has won three hurdle races and a NH flat race from 2m to 2m 5f on ground varying from good to soft to heavy with two of those wins on heavy going so he should relish conditions today ,

The yard sent him out on a prep race for his first run of season 23 days ago at Sedgefield 3m 3f Meldrum Construction Handicap Hurdle (good) he finished 3rd but stayed one pace from two out with Nathan Moscrop guiding him , The bring winning jockey Danny Cook on him back to ride today ,

Looks to be well worth a e/w chance as conditions may not suit a lot in race

Court Frontier.....Paul Morgan yard the 8yo just came to yard in July this year and yard gave him two quick runs in July and August before giving him a break and a bit of schooling but what those races taught them is he does not like Good or Good to Firm,

It October they brought him out again and what a difference at Ffos Las 2m 5f soft had to be shaken up two out and got going strongly but just ran out of time and lost by 2 .75 lengths , With the extra distance and change of jockey to Paul Moloney he can get back to winning ways as he's won a hurdle race, a chase and two point-to-points from 2m 5f to 3m on yielding and heavy ground and 8 place finishes

Native Display......from Caroline Bailey yard was previously with Nicky Henderson until August this year, The 6yo has been successful in a hurdle race and a NH flat race at 2m on good ground and 3 place finishes from the 11 runs he's had when at Nicky Henderson yard ,

The new yard gave him a run a month after coming to yard but fell 3 out at Worcester over 2m 4f (good) in his first chase race , The yard are reverting back to hurdles today and yard had 64 days to work on him since that fall, There also having hood and tongue strap on for first time although the hoods been on before and there bring in Andrew Tinkler to ride horse as he was a regular for Nicky when he had horse , so hopefully a better outcome than last race,
