    Wolves v Crystal Palace
BTTS YES @ 2.10 with Pinnacle
    Great value here IHMO.
The home side are in a great moment, with 4 wins in last 6 and a high mood following the 3-1 away win over Tottenham.
They scored 11 goals in 6 of last 7 league games, mising to find the net only against Liverpool.
On the other hand they have conceded in 5 of last 6 home games. Crystal Palace come from 3 consecutive away BTTS, with 6 goals scored in the process (conceding 8).

thinkpink63 reacted to Darran in Non-League Predictions > Boxing Day
Saturday was a case of so close yet so far. None of the teams lost their games and having caught up with what happened in the games I think only the Stockport match is the only one where the team we were on didn't deserve the 3 points. It continues the frustrating run of form though which is annoying. Boxing Day is always a busy day of football and I have 5 bets throughout the leagues.
    Wrexham v Salford
The fact Aldershot's keeper got the man of the match award tells you all you need to know about their game with Wrexham as they couldn't get past him. Back at the Racecourse though I think they can pick up 3 points on Saturday and at the very least are value to do so. Only Leyton Orient have won there this season and even then it took two late goals to nick it. With Salford under performing at the moment this could be a good chance for them to go above them in the table. I was surprised they lost to Dagenham on Saturday and they probably didn't deserve to, but having gone a goal up they really should have put the game to bed. This will be a much tougher game for them and having lost two league games on the bounce it might just be the right time for Wrexham to be facing them. Betway go 2/1 about a home win and I would make Wrexham slight favs for this.
    Havant & Waterlooville v Eastleigh
Big local derby this, but I fancy the away side to come out on top. Eastleigh's away form is much better than their away, but they managed to even win at home on Saturday when coming from behind to beat Harrogate 2-1 which was a very good result. Eastleigh had won 5 away games on the bounce prior to their 2-0 lose at Wrexham in their last league game away, but as pointed out above their is no disgrace in that. Now Havant have won 4 home league games on the bounce scoring 16 goals in the process, but they have played the bottom 3 sides and Halifax who have only won one away game all season. This is a huge step up in opposition compared to those 4 and they are suffering for injuries going into this game. They got a solid draw at Hartlepool on Saturday, but they suffered 3 injuries in the process. I think Eastleigh's price of 11/8 with William Hill and Betfred offers fair value.
Woking v Hampton & Richmond (National League South)
Not sure there is a great deal of value around at Step 2 on Boxing Day, but this match really sticks out for me as I really fancy the home side. Hampton surprised me when they beat Welling recently but hopefully we can get or money back here. They were well beaten by Torquay on Saturday and I still think they are a side who might get sucked into a relegation battle. Having faced the top team they now have to face the 2nd team in Woking who were superb on Saturday. Yes Billericay have lost a few players, but they still have a really strong side and Woking were really impressive in beating them 4-0. That had been their toughest test for a while in the league but they overcame it with ease and they are now unbeaten in 6 having won 5 of them. I think Woking should be at least 4/6 for this so the fact they are even money with Marathon surprises me and looks huge value.
Lancaster v Workington (Evo-Stik Northern Premier)
Lancaster started the season in really poor form, but they are working their way away from the relegation zone and they have lost just 3 in their last 10 league matches now. They very nearly beat South Shields on Saturday as well, but having scored in the 87th minute the away side levelled in the 90th. Workington have won just 3 games all season and just one of those have come in the last 10 games. Away from home they have picked up just 2 points all season and things won't have been helped by the fact both central defenders were sent off after the final whistle in the 3-2 defeat to Scarborough on Saturday. BetVictor's 7/5 about a home win looks well worth taking.
Stafford v Nantwich (Evo-Stik Northern Premier)
Nantwich are top of the table and although that is partly because they have played more games than some of those below them they have still lost just 3 league games this season and only one of those have been in the last 10 games. Their only away defeat of the season came against South Shields in their first away game of the season. Stafford had gone 6 home games without a win before beating Hednesford in their last home match, but that doesn't say much as they have only picked up 1 point in their 6 games and won just 1 of their last 10. I'm surprised that Nantwich aren't shorter than 7/5 (BetVictor) for this as they look by far the most likely winners.
Tonbridge Angels v Folkestone Invicta (Bostik Premier)
The away side look a huge price at 9/4 (Marathon and BetVictor). Angels started the season very strongly, but lately things have been mostly miserable. They have lost 5 out of their last 6 games and although they sit in 5th position they look anything but play-off contenders at the moment. They haven't played a league game since December 11th so they will be fresher given Folkestone played at the weekend, but on the other-hand they will be rusty having not played a league game for 2 weeks and given Invicta are in good form this is a very tough first game back. They have only lost to top of the table Haringey, who are really flying at the moment, in their last 6 games and they have won 4 of them. Granted their away form as they have lost 5 of their last 7 on the road, but they have a real chance here of picking up 3 points and I would have them shorter than 9/4.
    Wrexham 1pt @ 2/1 with Betway
Eastleigh 2pts @ 11/8 with William Hill and Betfred
Woking 4pts @ Evs with Marathon
    Lancaster 2pts @ 7/5 with BetVictor
    Nantwich 2pts @ 7/5 with BetVictor
Folkestone 1pt @ 9/4 with Marathon and BetVictor

thinkpink63 got a reaction from StevieDay1983 in Mourinho Sacked!
I think that the glory days of Mourinho ended after the "Triplete" with Internazionale Milan, his real last masterpiece.
After that in the 3 years in Madrid he wasn't that successful, considering the stellar squad he had. Just one La Liga title and no CL finals. After him Ancelotti and Zidane won four with more or less the same players. And he brought the polemics against everyone and everything to a never seen before level: the games vs Barcelona were bloody affairs, more wars than football, and he almost cracked the Spain national team too. I can't forget when he pressed a finger in the eye of poor Tito Vilanova (R.I.P.) coming unseen from behind. A very coward act.
He had a great comeback at Chelsea in the first 2 seasons followed by an inglorious season and a sack, with Conte winning the title next with the same squad.
And considering the budget he had, his top salary and the full power at United his experience was again far below the expectations. An Europa League win was his top achievement, that isn't bad, but let's not forget that he also cashed again something from his luck when Celta de Vigo failed an incredible very easy goal in the stoppage time of the reverse leg of the semifinal.
Oh well, luck is a part of many wins sometimes. I'm an AC Milan lifetime fan and can't forget the fog of Beograd, November 1988, with the legendary team led by Arrigo Sacchi 1-0 down against Red Star and with ten men in the reverse leg (1-1 in San Siro). Remove that fog and the story would have been much different.
I never liked Mourinho as a man (did you notice? ) and I think he made his masterpieces with Porto and Inter, on which he built an overrated career following next.
About him I think he will go back to Madrid. For an unknown reason (to me at least) Florentino Perez is still in love with him. Most of the players that were against him there are gone or will, so that's a possibility.
Or he could go back to Internazionale, where the fans still adore him. But have no idea what the thoughts of Mr Suning, the chinese owner of the club, are.
Rodgers, Wenger and Moyes as next managers..lol..God Save the Queen and United just in case..
Pochettino more likely moving to Madrid if the spot becomes available for him.
Ancelotti would gladly move to Manchester but I don't see him leaving Napoli so soon, but you never know.
Zidane had a huge CL success at Real Madrid and poor domestic results. He knew every breath of Madrid's camp when replaced Benitez, am not sure he could feel so at ease by the Red Devils.
Simeone plays a fighting football that couldn't be appreciated that much at Old Trafford right now, after the Mourinho's era, that didn't deliver results and sparkling football. But I would be curious to see him in another big club, since the man knows his stuff. Hey, the Colchoneros never had that great squad in last years, barring a couple of players. He really got the maximum out of them.
Blanc and Deschamps look unlikely to me.
Conte wants to come back to PL, that's his first choice. But also here his football and managerial style is rather similar to Mourinho's one. Don't see a change in that direction. even if I would add that the Special One has lost with the years the capability he had to gel his players around him always and against the world, as in his first Chelsea and Internazionale. Conte still has this capability, so far..
Finally we could be all surprised by an unpredictable choice like the one made by PSG with Tuchel, with a not much "exposed" manager on big media. Time will tell soon. "Baby Face" Solskjaer could anyway stay until June. He's always the "super sub" finally there and the man of the 1999 CL final, with that legendary comeback in the injury time.

Frosinone still have to win at home in 7 this season, but they scored 6 goals in last 4 home games.
Sassuolo have won just 1 of last 9 games and had 5 BTTS in last 7 overall games, including the Coppa Italia game.
Both sides need points for different reasons. Babacar and Berardi will be a threat for Frosinone's questionable defence but I don't see the visitors keeping a clean sheet as well.

I like a lot the Blucerchiati at home. They score a lot, even if they concede too many counter attacks. Parma are a good side. Don't forget that they come from 3 consecutive promotions from serie D after going bankrupt, and that's amazing.
Sampdoria won last home league game 4-1 against Bologna, won 2-1 over Spal in Coppa Italia and drew 2-2 to Lazio in last game.
Old striker Quagliarella is literally on fire (8 goals and 5 assists so far, only Ronaldo has better stats) and the price for the home win is decent for my money.

Fiorentina have the full squad available and I fancy a home win here. At home they lost only to Juventus, winning 4 and drawing 2, scoring in all games barring the one against Juventus. Striker Simeone (the son of Atletico Madrid's manager) find the net after some time in last game against Sassuolo and I fancy him to score anytime @ 2.30 too.

Both Celtic and Slavia Prague have tough away domestic games following next. and since both need one point to progress a draw without spending too many energies could be an acceptable outcome.

    My parlay for EL today...
Akhisar - Standard Liege AKHISAR DNB @3.2 7/10
Who watched the last game between Akhisar and Fenerbahce will surely know why I am taking this bet. Akhisar won that game 3:0 and believe me when I say that Fenerbahce is not playing that bad at all in terms of offense. On other side is Standard who drew a game against St.Trudiens(offensive side) and lost before that 3:0 to Club Brugge without a shot fired, they were impotent, invisible or whatever you wanna call it(I had BTTS in that game)...Standard has still chances to progress the group but they need a win here and hope for Sevilla not to win. This will all fit just perfectly to Akhisar(what an exotic name, right?:)...it will be just like the game against Fenerbahce who needed points badly since they are in relegation zone. I expect the home team to win but not lose for sure. Why would they finish the competition without points and help Standard?? The odds are great!!!
Rapid Vienna - Glasgow Rangers RANGERS DNB @2.0 5/10
Rapid won both games against Spartak Moscow so they only need a point from this game. All group phase Rangers games when they were on the road were having lots of goals but when they were qualifying for EL there were not many goals. At UFA it was 1:1, at Maribor it was 0:0 and at Osijek it was 0:1. I think Gerrard will turn back to this approach, after all it is what is recognizable for Rangers playing in Europe, rather than risking an open game. Both teams are having problems scoring lately in their domestic competitions. Also Rapid lost all games against teams from top of the standings in their league(Austria Vienna, LASK Linz and St.Polten) and all without a goal scored. And all their home EL games were UNDER 2.5. Since Rapid needs only a point it is always in such games that somehow either they end a draw or the other side gets what they want(Rangers). I believe that Gerrards side will get what they want in a low scoring game. Everything points out for an UNDER 2.5 so why I will not bet UNDER...it is because if Rapid somehow scores Rangers will need two goals and something tells me they will win it so I am going for Rangers DNB. Lower confidence since Rangers didn't collect points in domestic competition when needed and lost the leading position to Celtic...will they lose what they want on both fields?!
Villareal - Spartak Moscow VILLAREAL OVER 1.5 goals (Home team) @1.55 7/10
Even though Villareal is at the bottom of the Primera standings I really dig this team and believe they will climb up. They have goals in them, they could have scored two goals at least against Barcelona but both teams were for some reason not interested in that game. After that they won in Copa Del Rey against Almeria 8:0...to score 8 goals surely means something even though it is a second league team(which few seasons ago was in the first division). Anyway in their last home game they lost 2:3 to Celta Vigo. They were losing 0:3 and in few minutes managed to score 2 goals which was also my bet in that game. Another reason is that Villareal managed to beat Betis 2:1 and Betis is known for solid defense in most of their games. On other hand Spartak games always have goals, they concede a goal in almost every match. They lost at Vienna 2:0 and it is most likely result I see in this game, but it could be 2:1 or 2:2 since they need a win. Villareal is ok with a draw in this game but I believe they will seal the deal with two goals. If they managed to score 3 goals in Moscow I expect at least two at home. Also Spanish teams are very motivated for this competition.
    Genk - Sarpsborg 08 BTTS @1.85 6/10
Genk only needs a point from this game to qualify but with a win they would surely be first so I expect them to go for a win and score a goal. Genk scored a goal in all of their home games this season. Out of 15 home games there were BTTS in 9 of them. Besiktas scored there and Sarpsborg 08 by performance is similar to Besiktas. Sarpsborg 08 created more chances in Istanbul than home team and they won against Genk 3:1 at home. If Sarpsborg wins with two goals difference here then Genk would probably be out of the competition. I expect from Norvegian team to attack and eventually score a goal here, after all they play attacking football and it is their only chance here. Genk defense is not that solid lately. Sarpsborg scored a goal in all of their away EL games. Over 2.5 is only @1.55 but I expect a result 2:1 or 3:1 in this game.
    Besiktas - Malmo HOME WIN @1.6 8/10
The thing is that Besiktas wins this kind of games when they need it even when they do not perform well. For example in Norway they were 2:0 down what meant they would be probably out of the competition and they turned it around to FT 2:3 in one halftime. I had Besiktas DNB for that game. Besiktas needs to win this because if Sarpsborg wins at Genk they would all be with the same number of points(8) and Besiktas would be out because of a goal difference. Malmo in away games in EL was pretty bad in most of their games but one win over Midtjyland stands out a bit, I think Danish team is playing nicely. They drew at Sarpsborg out of few chances and lost at Genk again with not many chances created. Even though Besiktas drew their last game it was 0:0 and they won over CL team Galatasaray at home 1:0. So they can win against good teams and their defense seems good in last games. I expect a low scoring nerve wrecking late goal win for Besiktas. After all Besiktas played CL last season and it is expected from them to participate in European competition and I rate Turkish championship more competitive than Swedish. Babel is out but there is Quaresma who will grind it out with assist or a goal
    Sevilla - Krasnodar OVER 2.5 @1.5 7/10
Sevilla is at the very top of the Primera and this season they lost at home only to Getafe and drew one game with Villareal at 0:0. But the important thing is that they perform very well at home in important games. They won all games in EL by huge results 5:1 against Standard, 6:0 against Akhisar, 3:0 against Sigma and one 1:0 against Zalgiris at the start of the season but they had 27(10) chances in that game. They also beat Real Madrid by 3:0. This game is important because if they win they will be first in the group and if they draw they have to hope that Standard will not win their game, so basically they need to win...ALL IN! ON other side is Krasnodar who plays nice attacking football this season and they scored a goal in all of their away games this season. I am sure they will play the same way here. They scored at Zenit St.Petersburg and they won against CL team CSKA Moscow. So Krasnodar is surely a serious task for Andalucians. BTTS&Over 2.5 seems tempting at @2.1 but Sevilla game against Real Madrid is a proof it could go wrong as it is all about how much they will score. This competition is really important to Sevilla and they won it few times already so it is expected from them to go further with a style, with first position. I expect something like 3:1 in this game. I just hope it does not end 1:0 or if both Standard and Sevilla draw their games.
    Rennes - Astana HOME WIN @1.6 5/10
Risky bet. Rennes needs to win to go through while Astana is fine with a draw. In this group all teams seem similar and this could be a pure gamble. All though Rennes was more dangerous in their game against Dynamo Kiev they lost it, I expect them again to be dominant and this time to win. They also have two wins in French championship in last games, one of those was against Lyon where Lyon was a huge favorite. This is the reason why I am taking this bet, also Rennes scored against PSG, they won against Bordeaux which played 2:2 against PSG, they score in almost all of their home games etc. On other side Astana drew both away EL games and they are pretty equal in strength to Jablonec so I am expecting a similar result 2:1 or 1:0 for Rennes in this game. Astana also lost to APOEL and Dinamo Zagreb in CL qualifications and they lost their last two away games in domestic championship. I doubt Rennes is much worse. They can score from few chances and do not concede goals(Lyon).
    Slavia Prague - Zenit St.Petersburg HOME WIN @1.7 8/10
Zenit is first in the group whatever happens while Slavia Prague needs to win to be sure they will go through. In Copenhagen - Bordeaux game everything can happen so I will focus on this game. I believe Home win is a must take here. True they lost 1:0 in St.Petersburg(I have not watched the game) but check out the statistics...Zenit 6(2) vs Slavia 25(11)...if someone watched the game please tell me that it was not Barcelona there rather than team from Prague. It is also pointing out they can not score, but in Czech league they do, and they won against Copenhagen and Bordeaux and in all of those games they created more chances. Since Zenit will not be interested into this game this is a clear bet imo. Also Zenit picked up few losses in a row in Russian league in last couple of rounds. Unlike Rennes game where there is no value at those odds to risk anything even though Rennes win is expected this one is a must take.
Olympiakos - AC Milan OLYMPIAKOS DNB @1.85 6/10
Olympiakos does not play great but they are determined and that is what is important. Both teams once played in CL and now they are here in EL. Olympiakos drew their last game away to Xanthi even though it was expected that they will win(I was on Oly:) and in the game before that they beat Panionios but what is worrying is that they also conceded a goal. All in all Olympiakos will be very motivated. The trick here is that Milan can lose but not with two goals difference and as I was saying in my Rapid - Rangers preview in this kind of games most of the times it ends up just on that line between win or lose scenario. Since Olympiakos is at home and Milan is not a great traveler and they also come from a scoreless draw against Torino I think it is worth a shot, Oly could just do it enough for the bet to go through but not succeed in passing the group phase. Olympiakos played an equal game against Betis at home and lost by only one goal in Spain. And Betis won in Italy while drew at home to Milan so Betis and Milan might be similar in strength. Since Olympiakos had their chances against Betis at home I will go against very popular AC Milan in this one.
Leipzig - Rosenborg HOME WIN @1.15
Combined odds for this parlay is  @255...I once won @244 so this would be my new record
    Anyway...this are my suggestions...

    Celtic vs RB Salzburg
The final round of group games throws up a tricky game for SPL side Celtic as they welcome Austrian Bundesliga club RB Salzburg to Celtic Park for this 8pm kick-off on Thursday knowing that a draw will guarantee their spot in the final 32 of this competition.
Celtic endured a mixed bag of results at the start of the season as they crashed out of the Champions League during the qualification process and struggled to keep up with the pace of early SPL leaders Hearts. However, Brendan Rodgers has seen his team settle down over the past 6 weeks and they have now gone on an unbeaten run in all competitions since 25th October.
RB Salzburg have looked nothing short of impressive this season. Marco Rose's team haven't tasted defeat at all this season. They have a 100% record in Group B of the Europa League and have won 14 and drawn 3 of their 17 league games so far. They have also progressed to the Quarter-Finals of the Austrian Cup without conceding a goal.
Still, on Thursday night, they face a Celtic side that are undefeated at home since May last season. Rodgers will come into this game confident that his side can grind out the result needed. Given that RB Salzburg have already sealed their spot in the next round as group winners then I imagine they might rotate things up a bit.
Both teams have the attacking power to cause the opposition problems. I can see this being a low-scoring draw and I don't think either side would be disappointed in that outcome. Celtic Park will be bouncing and I'd be astonished if they failed to take something from this match.

I would be very cautious with Roma. They are in a big mess right now, bad domestic campaign and manager Di Francesco at big risk to be sacked. If the players aren't with him this is the right chance to get rid of him..
More while Roma is already through as 2nd Plzen can still reach a spot in the EL. They just need a point unless CSKA Moskow win in Madrid.
Roma miss Dzeko, De Rossi and El Shaarawy and some regulars will surely be benched, keeping an eye on the upcoming must win game in Rome vs Genoa.
Another game where I'll keep an eye on for some in-play opportunity.

An indifferent showdown, with no scoring motivation, all we can say is AEK's goal of not ending with zero points in the group. I will bet on the many goals, the two teams, have a total of 23 goals, showing that they have defense issues, can score, and especially if they open the score relatively early

    Valencia vs Manchester United
I've tried to steer clear of making predictions when it comes to Manchester United matches this season but in the final round of group games in the Champions League I've decided to take a risky punt. The Red Devils travel to Valencia in what is essentially a dead rubber for an 8pm kick-off at the Estadio de Mestalla.
Valencia are already in the draw for the Europa League last 32 having failed to reach the second phase but doing enough to finish in 3rd place ahead of Young Boys in Group H. Marcelino's side are struggling to recapture the form of last season. An inability to turn draws into wins has been costly. The club has drawn 11 matches in all competitions already this season. That includes a 0-0 draw when they played United at Old Trafford earlier in the group stage of this competition.
Jose Mourinho's men are starting to build some confidence. Some are still scratching their heads as to how the self-proclaimed "Special One" is still in the role at United. In his defence, the club has already sealed their spot in the last 16 of this competition and they are slowly moving up the Premier League table. It is now 5 matches unbeaten in all competitions. Is the Portuguese man turning it around?
These two clubs have met 7 times in the Champions League. United have notched up 2 wins during those games and the other 5 encounters have ended in draws. Combine that with Valencia's penchant for draws this campaign and you kind of get the feeling we all know where this is going... or is it too easy?!
There are a few other stats to consider. Valencia have lost 4 of their last 6 Champions League matches at home. It's a complete turnaround from previously where they had gone 9 matches unbeaten at home in the competition before that run of defeats. Valencia have also failed to score in 6 of their last 8 Champions League games.
Basically, don't expect a thrilling game. I can honestly see this being an archetypal Mourinho performance with United grinding out a 1-0 win or a diabolical boring draw. If the former happens then it would be the 18th time Mourinho has won by that score-line in the Champions League. Only Sir Alex Ferguson and Carlo Ancelotti have managed it more times. Still, my gut still sways towards a bore draw with neither side having anything to play for. 0-0, 1-1, or 1-0 to United are the realistic possibilities. I'm going to bottle it and go for the draw.

About the situation in the "Death group" with Liverpool, Napoli and PSG battling for the 2 spots to progress I paste from the Uefa site to make things more clear :
    Group C: Liverpool (6) v Napoli (9), Crvena zvezda (4) v Paris Saint-Germain (8)
Napoli will be through if they draw, or if they lose and Paris are also beaten. Paris will be through if they win, and are also certain to advance if Liverpool do not gain victory. Liverpool must win to have any chance of progress. If Paris win, Liverpool must win 1-0 or by two goals or more. If Liverpool, Paris and Napoli all finish on nine points, the English club would finish first on the three-way head-to-head, with second place depending on the scoreline at Anfield. Crvena zvezda will finish third if they win and Liverpool lose (Liverpool have a superior head-to-head goal difference).

thanks for your great explanation thinkpink63
Yes, EuroDream, with Dortmund I have some doubts because last match at home against Brugge, they didnot show much interest in go for the win and first place. It seemed they were happy with the draw and secure the qualify, leaving out Brugge, but if they have some interest today, they should win but I think I will skip this match, because they didnot make a good performance in match against Brugge
