  1. Re: Stan James World Matchplay Darts - July 17-25 Early thoughts are heading towards the bet between Barney and Ovens. Ladbrokes are doing the highest checkout either over/under 120.5. Ovens is extremely steady and can, when playing well take out a 140+. Barney has had problems but as if what we hear is true, he is really up for the tournament, so he will be keen to impress with some high scoring checkouts. Any thoughts towards this one. It priced at 5/6 atm for both :ok

  2. Re: Tennis - 12-18 July WOW just come home and seen the results. Shocker for most looks like, glad I stuck to just playing tennis rather than putting some money on it. Soderling in 3, Verdasco losing, even the one I was going to lump lots on Mayer didn't beat Monfils after the 1-0 up, shocker :(

One early selection for me tomorrow... Stuttgart: Bjorn Phau vs Marco Chiudinelli Chiudinelli is priced at 2.31 with Betdaq for this one and I'm amazed at this price. I've been trying to think why the Swiss is so big but I can't fina a reasonable answer. This should be priced at 1.80 for Chiudinelli and 1.90 for Phau in my eyes. Neither man is a world beater, but Chiudinelli is the better player. Knocks around on the main Tour most weeks and beat a veritable clay courter in Victor Hanescu in the last round in straight sets, which is a good piece of form. He's got a decent serve and can play off both wings. Phau does most of his work on the Challenger circuit and isn't the player he once was. He's a guy I can't trust in any shape or form - throws in too many errors. He has the advantage of playing in Germany but even then, I can't make a case for him winning this one. Both men have losing records on clay but I see more scope for improvement in Chiudinelli's game. If he reproduces his form against Hanescu - he didn't lose serve once in that match - then I can't see him not winning. With the odds so big, I reccommend modest stakes, but I feel the market is incorrect here and that Chiudinelli can win this. - Marco Chiudinelli at 2.31 with Betdaq (3/10) :hope
Followed you and got him at evens :clap

May follow you with this one mate
  5. Re: Cricket: Pakistan vs Australia - 2 Twenty20 Internationals & Test Series Just seen these odds from them after you two were discussing this. I too am shocked, but only thing I can think of is the conditions. Think I'm right in thinking that its supposed to be overcast and cloudy most of the week hence the ball should move about a bit. Also, the bookies are probably assuming that the conditions will be pretty much the same, and seeing as the Aussie batsman have stuggled under them, that's what the odds are probably based upon. But really good find and if it doesn't change, looks too tempting to refuse.

  6. Re: Cricket: Friends Provident Twenty 20 Cheers boys, usually stay away from the cricket so not too familiar with it. As they do count will follow you with this one. Watched a few games at Chelmsford over the last couple of years and has a great atmosphere. The straight boundries are small and the likes of Pollard, Styris, Bopara, Trescothi, Trego etc will go to town. Thanks for the confirmation or correction in this case :ok

  7. Re: Tennis - 5-11 July Right I've had a look and got one tip, which I'm going to throw into an accumalator. Got 4/5 right yesterday but luckily I feel asleep so the games had already started before I did the bet haha. M Ilhan to beat J Ward- 8/11 ladbrokes- 10/10 Normally I don't look to bet against my own teams, or country but with tennis I'm happy to do so. I really don't see how Ilhan is only a slight favourite against Ward. Ilhan won his first match at Wimbledon this year, coming back from 2 sets down and lost in 4 in his next match. Jamie Ward hasn't done much against a decent player for a while now, and even thats a push to say. There has been a lot of talk abou the GB Davis cup team, notably about Murray's absence or lack of desire to play in it. I sense problems here for Ward and was actually debating to go for Ilhan in 3 @ 7/2, but sense the win is decent money enough. Gone for that in a singles bet, and also in a cheeky accumalator with small stakes again ;) M Fish 1/5 M Llodra 11/8 M Ilhan 8/11 N Massu 8/13 All to win, prices with Ladbrokes 2/10 Already spoke about Ilhan and expect him to come through well, and spoke about Fish yesterday, likely to win the event. Llodra as already been discussed has had a bit more form and match time than Verdasco. Llodra likes playing inside and has a faily good record in Davis cup action. Verdasco not yet back to his best and will take his a good while to do this, so expect Llodra to win this one. Massu of Chile I've gone for due to his past experience and scaps he has beaten. Beaten the likes of Fish and was once ranked 9th in world but was some time ago. Not in the greatest of form in the last couple of years but if he plays well, he is a class above his opponent. His Davis Cup record, like Llodra is also good so expect him to win this one. GL all :ok

  8. Re: Tennis - 5-11 July

How can there be no question that she will win???? I've never heard someone sound so confident about a bet, so I stuck a big bet on it, it wasn't even close!!
Dw about that one matey, psycho is usually spot on with the tennis, but sometimes we all get some wrong. Sure the tips posted will help you make that money back in no time :ok
  9. Re: Tennis - 5-11 July Hate it when there isn't a proper tournament going on, but waiting for the Davis cup in a few days. So just going to go for a fun bet with small stakes :tongue2 Fish 1/5 Dabul 6/4 Medina 4/9 Szavay 1/7 Baczinsky 4/7 5 way accumalator @ 7.78. Small stakes obviously but wanted to have a bit of fun. Baczinsky, following psycho on that, and along with Ana Ivanovic, tend to bet against Cornet whoever she is playing. One of those players who tends to do it more than winning atm. Mardy is the best player in the tournament, especially as Querrey got beat yesterday in a major upset by Brown. To me, looks like Fish will win the tournament to follow on from his runner up at Queens, but he will win this one. Dabul plays Brown, the guy who beat Sam Querrey in straight sets so he will have confidence but I'm still going to opt for Dabul, simply based on he beat Nadal at an exhibition match last year and he was a former junion number 1. Has more experience and that should see him over the line. Medina and Szavay are obvious choices. Both have alot more quality than their opponents, better all round game so these two will both again win their matches. Sorry for the poor and quick write up but like I said a fun bet with small stakes. Gl all backers today :ok

  10. Re: Tennis - 5-11 July

One for me tonight... Newport: Frank Dancevic vs Nicolas Mahut I said I wouldn't get involved in Newport but I quite like the overs line in the match between Frank Dancevic and Nicolas Mahut. The line is O23.5 games, priced at 1.93 with Unibet, and I feel this is a shade too high. They only met a couple of weeks ago at Wimbledon in the qualifiers and Mahut destroyed the Canadian 6-3 6-0 (They'd met twice before that, with one match covering the line easily in Miami). Now, I expect Dancevic to put up a bit more of a fight, even though for me, Mahut is the better player here. I'd actually rate him in the Top 30 in terms of grass court ability and he was very unlucky to lose that match with John Isner at SW19. He's got a big serve, decent groundstrokes and is extremely competent at the net. I look at Dancevic and I see a man who showed plenty of potential as late as last year, getting to the final of Eastbourne, but he's regressed since then. He's got a huge serve, however, and will get cheap points from that. Played Marc Gicquel in the first round and won, not losing serve in the progress. I was quite impressed by the way Mahut dealt with Alejandro Falla yesterday - the Colombian is a decent player on this surface and would've perhaps progressed further in recent events if he hadn't had such difficult draws. Saying that, he did go to three sets and didn't serve as many aces as normal. There could easily be a tie-break in this one and I feel this match will be close. Happy to side with overs. SELECTION - Over 23.5 games at 1.93 with Unibet (5/10)
Unlucky with this one mate, after a quick glimpse at the last few games in the first set, thought you were defo onto a winner :(
  11. Re: Tennis - Wimbledon Either play to serve consecutive double faults is at 14/1 with Ladbrokes and I will defintiely be taking this simply due to the price. If either player struggles with their serves, or if one is struggling with a knock then there could be a fair number of double faults. If it goes to a possible long 4 sets or even 5, could well see mistake from the two players. Small stakes only but I reckon its worth £5.

  12. Re: Tennis - Wimbledon

As everyone says, hard day for betting and the bookies have thought it through well, but I have gone for a couple. Djokovic -2.5 AND -4.5 games handicap- 11/10 AND 9/4- Ladbrokes- 10/10 AND 5/10 Have just based this on who I think will win. Fair enough Berdych beat Federer, but Federer wasn't a shadow of the player he usually is. Berdych didn't really have to play brilliantly, it was just Federer wasn't at the races, as he hasn't been really in the whole tournament. For the match, I have narrowed it down to who I think is likely to break serve more, no question Djokovic. No break points in his last match, and only dropped something like 12 points in the entire match on his serve. Berdych served well, but can be vulnerable. Could easily go to 5 sets, and then fatigue could play a part. Berdych will get tired a little quicker than Djokovic perhaps, and therefore I see Djokovic winning this one, preferably with the handicap ;) Nadal +8.5 aces handicap- 8/11 Ladbrokes- 10/10 Couldn't believe my eyes when I saw this one. Nadal and Murray in my opinion are the same player. Brilliant returners and great defensive players, but I still see Nadal as the most likely to hit more winners. As it goes for aces, both have had around the same amount in the competition but as for 9 more aces than Nadal, really struggle to comprehend how Murray will do that, as Nadal isn't a bad returner of serve either, so taken this one. GL all :ok
    :wall:wall:wall need I say more
