  1. Re: Epsom Derby 2011 - Ante Post Thread I will tell you the truth you're blind to see this way: Do you remember such case when a jockey is banned to ride in a big race on breaching a contract? Conflicts like these will always exist in racing - it's not uncommon to have an agreement with several owners whose horses are to compete in a race. Choosing either way you breach the agreement with the other party. Yes Fallon has to pay for his 15 mistakes - riding 4 2000 Guineas, 4 1000 Guineas, 3 Derby and 4 Oaks winners. It would have been 4th Derby this year.

  2. Re: Epsom Derby 2011 - Ante Post Thread I'm totally with Fallon on this issue. Are you blind not to see that the guy is hamperred by the bookies all season not to be able to ride the big races on the tracks where he's the master of the course - Newmarket and Epsom. He's made them pay many times before and they are afraid of him. English racing really stinks! By the way wasn't he banned for life in France for failing the drugs test twice? I think he rode there last week!!!

  3. Re: Black Caviar

Not sure if you have been following her arsman but her best performances have been down the straight 6 furlongs. She is even more dominant there when she can just get into space and run her own race. The only way she will get beaten is bad luck and she will only find bad luck when racing around a bend
I agree I missed the straight race at Flemington, but what can be worse than being 4 lengths down after the bend and still finish more than 3 up. Maybe if there was just a 1 1/2 furlong straight a horse like Hay List would have had some chance of winning.
  4. Re: Black Caviar Should see Black Caviar on a straight course - I'm pretty sure she'll beat every British and Irish sprinter in a 5-6 F with a bend. But straight and fast ground - you may suddenly find one or two quicker. But today it was a devastating performance - last furlong was a lightning.

  5. Re: Flat Racing - Mon 6th Sept A single-race program for Phillip Robinson today. It's been quite a while since riding a winner for Clive Cox. Made a pile of winners for him in the last few years but then Adam Kirby came and rides became less frequent than usual. This newcomer Two Ish should be a good opportunity.

  6. Re: UEFA Europa League > Thursday 19th August Debrecen - FC Litex Lovech - 1 @ 2.20 Litex travel to Hungary without their key players Doka Madureira - midfielder, Bodurov and Nikolov - c. defenders and sold their captain and best player Ivelin Popov to Blackburn today. Players seem quite unconfident, saying there is a second game in Lovech, which is not a good sign. Home win for me.

  7. Re: sandown flying destination tote win 1.60 not fair There are always risks with the Tote to get shorter odds in the first 2-3 races of the day and in the last if you have a big fav. I have a rule - if I back a drifter - I'd better do it on the Tote - more than 80% of the cases it gives better return even than the BOG option that most bookies give you nowadays. Good luck! ;)

  8. Re: Ayr (Flat) 12th July A rare visit of A P O'Brien's son Joseph in Scotland is noticed. IMO he has two good chances to score. A bit of money for him in the first maiden race of the day - 14:00 Magnini - Kevin Ryan's Exceed And Excel colt - 14/1 to 15/2. Still good for an E/W. In the last race at 17:00 Miss Amy Weaver's Grams And Ounces has good opposition. Yet Joseph has far more experience than the British apprentices in this race.

  9. Re: Best bet of the day- Sun 16th May I'm totally with Fintron on Aldovrandi - when I saw the odds this morning I couldn't believe my luck and took it e/w straight away. I watched an interview with Marco Botti who said he's preparing him to win a big race in France or Italy. I hope that's the race. Entry in the St James's Palace Stakes at Ascot should also speak for itself. :hope

  10. Re: Folkestone 29th April Not very nice to see a capable jockey like Seb Sanders doing work on donkeys today, but he might have a chance for a win in the first race of the day. Although running very green on the steep downhill in Brighton, Suzy Alexander showed some scope and ability and the drop to the minimum trip should suit. Moreover Sanders was on the odds-on winner at Brighton and was pressed hard by Suzy Alexander until the final 100 yards. He should have seen some room for progress to partner her in today's race. Main danger is Itwasonlyakiss. Trainer J W Hills goes back to the regular pilot Michael Hills after a season's debut to forget when Fallon was on board. I would like to see some pace in this race and maybe Suzy Alexander will do the magic trick. Suzy Alexander - 2 pts to win no luck ... a NR then the second best - Itwasonlyakiss.
