  1. Re: Golf: 2010 Open Championship Afternoon all I've gone for 3 top 10 singles with Extrabet: McIlroy (9/4), Harrington (9/4) and Rose (11/4) - any 1 of these 3 comes in top 10 and ties then guaranteed a (small) profit; 2 or more then happy days. For me this is Harrington's tournament with rough conditions expected. Small bets on Peter Hanson and Shane Lowry for EW finishes as they'll both handle the conditions

0.25pts e/w - Steve Flesch - 250/1 (1/4' date= 12345, Various) 0.25pts e/w - John Merrick - 300/1 (1/4, 12345, Boylesports) Only debuted here last year, but produced top quality opening and closing rounds to end up finishing T6 - 4 shots behind the front three. Is out early this year for his first round and the benign conditions can hopefully set him up for another good showing. LOL - great minds think alike Anita!
  3. Re: PGA Golf - The Masters 2010 - Augusta - Thurs 08 April - Sun 11 April Guys - many thanks for the warm welcome! Kevshat - great to see a fellow Hatter! I was a Block B Enclosure season ticket holder until the arrival of my 2 kids 3 years back put paid to my Saturday jaunts...will be nice to see them pip Stevenage to the title this year and get back onto the straight and narrow. Looking at the weather forecast it would suggest that the morning is going to play a little easier, so I've picked an early starter for 1st round leader - John Merrick. Saves his best for Majors and started well with a 68 here last year. The 4/6 about Tiger Woods shooting 72 or more today with Paddy Power is tempting - by all accounts he's been spraying it around in practice plus with a very late tee time will hit the worst of the breeze and the dryest, hardest greens... Best of luck all

  4. Re: PGA Golf - The Masters 2010 - Augusta - Thurs 08 April - Sun 11 April Jim Furyk 40/1 Ladbrokes is my pick - particularly as they pay out the win if he finishes 2nd to Woods. I have to say Jim wasn’t top of my shopping list when it came to researching profitable Masters tips. But the more you look at his chances, the more excited you get especially when you see the World Number 5 @ 40/1! As you would expect, the Florida resident is consistency personified. Every facet of his game is strong, there are no weaknesses. He’s not long enough though I hear many cry. Actually, scratch the service and you see that Furyk can hit +300 yards on holes where he needs to. His win at the recent Transitions has boosted his confidence and he plays Augusta well. However the tipping point for me is this. Look at his record and he regularly contends on tough classical courses with fast Bent grass greens. I’m expecting no different this week. Good luck all!
