PIPERS NOTE @ 17/2 Stan James
The Ruth Carr stable are flying at present (as they usually are at this time of year), they won a nice race yesterday with a similar profiled horse.  This horse was placed in a Listed race at Donny at the start of the season.  This horses record in class 3 turf handicaps reads 2111111.  He's previously won a class 2 off a higher mark than today and handles most ground, has to be thereabouts.

Original selection is a nr and the prices have collapsed on my other fancies so....

WITHERNSEA @ 10/1 Paddy

Running off his lowest mark since winning at Donny at the end of 2015, has been consistent since with three placed efforts of 97,97 and 95 which suggests a mark of 93 today gives him a real chance. Two previous runs here have resulted in him being beaten 2l and less. Ran well enough in the Lincoln to suggest another crack at a mile would be fruitful. All his three wins have come with give in the ground which will be important this afternoon.

This guys record on ground Soft or worse reads 111236, the 6th came when he was drawn in the car park at Chester (8 of 8), also 4 of those runs were in Group races.  Today he runs off his lowest mark for 3 years.  Today his only his second run in hcap company for almost 3 years, the last time was at Ascot in the Autumn where he finished 10th but he was only beaten 4L that day from an impossible position and was hampered on the way, that was also over Ascot's mile which is probably as far as he wants to go and off 2lb higher.

I backed this at a massive price on the AW at the end of March and it finished really well to be beaten a length in 4th.  Tried to make all at Bath which went wrong.  Has the 2 box here which is nice at Windsor on this ground, should be able to sit in behind likely leader Medburn Dream and hopefully pick up late as at Kempton.  Has won over CD off 2lb higher and this is a course where I like previous course form.

DEAR SIRE @ 13/2 Hills
Was made second favourite for a class 2 event on the back of his maiden win at Musselburgh, he ran ok that day but probably wasn't suited by the lack of runners and muddling pace, it should be a different story today with 10 runners.  Back down to a class 4 today and on ground similar to his win.  Has one of the most experienced claimers aboard, should go well.

Very Competitive month with some cracking priced winners, Sirspread was leading us all a merry dance and was looking dangerous and you can NEVER rule out Mr Chop sticking up a big price winner and mugging us all.
