  1. Re: BBotd - Thu 3rd May 2012 3.30 MUSS CHOOKIE HAMILTON @ 8/1 bet365 bog (EW) Has won 5 and been placed 4 times in 14 runs at the track and has plenty of form with cut in the ground. His last 3 wins on the turf have all been at this track off 71, 76 and 72, with claimers allowance runs off 70 today. Has shown consistant form on the AW this winter and will have fitness on his side today.

  2. Re: BBOTD - Wed 2nd May 2012 4.55 KEMP UNCLE FRED @ 9/1 W HILL BOG Backed this one last time at Windsor when he got stuck on the rail and was given a very tender ride when his chance had gone, he could have finished a lot closer. Crowley back on board today and horse has plenty of good form at the track. Drawn well today in 1 and if the gaps come he will go really close. Backed this last night at 14's but forgot to post now 9's so encouraging money.

  3. Re: BBotd - 1st May 2012 - Tuesday 8.05 KEMP BUTTON MOON @ 25/1 BETVICTOR BOG (EW .5) Has been really highly tried in her career to date (2 of last 3 runs were in listed races), the last time she tackled a class 4 hcap she came 1l 3rd at Newmarket off 83. Todays mark of 80 looks realistic and if she can get to the front from 7 could make them all go. Her last run here was disappointing but she was drawn in the car park and would have used up a lot getting to the front. Outsider of the field but could get in the places.

  4. Re: BBOTD Friday 27th of April 5.35 DONNY LONG AWAITED @ 7/2 CORAL First run for the Barron yard and is one of the least exposed in the field, ran well on easy going a couple of times last season and being a Pivotal horse is entitled to like the ground. His form from last year would put him bang there with a chance and Barron has a knack of improving these types. The race has cut up a little so not as competitive as it first looked. Has been well back this morning and should go close.

  5. Re: BBOTD Thursday 26th of April 3.00 PERTH CHARLIE BUCKET @ 11/1 BET365 BOG His 2nd to Brindisi Breeze in Jan looks good in the context of this race and has been placed in 5 of 8 runs on soft or worse. The further they go the better for this slogger and he will be staying on when others have cried enough today. Whillans gets on well with this horse and takes off a useful 7lbs. Should go well at a double figure price.

  6. Re: BBOTD Wednesday 25th 2.15 EPSOM PERFECT PASTIME @ 14'S BOYLESPORT BOG Beaten less than a length on both previous visits to the track and has plenty of form on tricky tracks. Although most of his form is on fast ground he has run 4 times on ground with "soft" in the description being beaten 2l or less on each occaision. Has had a blowout and won second time up last season, trainer has had 3 seconds and a winner from last 6 runners, could go well at a big price.

  7. Re: BBOTD Tuesday 24th of April 3.20 WOLVES JULIUS GEEZER @ 10'S Laddies BOG Ran well last time on AW debut after 6 months off and that race should have brought him on. Was contesting class2 & 3 events for the most of last year so should find the grade a little easier. Slight concern about the trip but every chance that as he gets older he can get further. Dascombe has a good record at the track with his older horses (24%). This should go well at a double figure price.

  8. Re: BBOTD 23rd April Monday 3.15 PONTY GRISSOM @ 20/1 Paddy Power BOG Has run well on both runs at the track and has shown all his best form on soft ground. Showed enough in a couple of runs off 92 to suggest todays mark of 91 is a winning one. Was beaten only 2l on seasonal debut last year so can go well fresh. The stable hasn't been in the best of form which is a slight concern but they are 29% at the track this year. Big price at around 20/1.

  9. Re: BBOTD Sunday 22nd April 2012 3.10 WINCANTON RATHNAROUGHY @ 22/1 Paddy Power BOG Jimmy2shoes stole my thunder a bit (great minds)? I'll go win only as I'm miles behind this month. Has plenty of form on Soft ground in PTP races. Showed enough on debut for Vaughan to suggest he has some ability and running off a 9lb lower mark today. Vaughan has a knack for improving this type of horse from other stables and the Vaughan stable is in much better form than when this horse made his debut. Stable has a good record at this track (26%), and could run well at a big price.

  10. Re: BBOTD Saturday 21st 3.25 AYR BE THERE IN FIVE @ 25/1 BET365 BOG Ran 3rd in the 4m race at Cheltenham off a mark 6lb higher last season and that form would give him a great chance today, since then has been disappointing but showed signs last time that a return to form could not be far away. Lightly raced this season and running off a feather weight of 10st. Stable does well at the track (23%). Stable are in great form with 3 wins from last 4 runners and 6 from last 12.

  11. Re: BBOTD Friday 20th 8.00 BATH JUARLA @ 25/1 BET35 BOG Started to hit form at this time last season when winning off 60 on the AW followed that up with a couple of decent turf efforts off 66 and 67 (only 58 today). Trainer has been in good form with 2 wins and 2 placed efforts from last 6 runners. Showed all of his best form with some cut in the ground and stable jockey takes ride in preference to stables other runner who is half the price.

  12. Re: BBOTD Thursday 19th April 3.20 RIPON JEDWARD @ 7/1 BOYLES BOG Ex C O' Brien horse who is really unexposed for a 5yo. Most of his form is on Soft ground (one of the few in the race). Fahey has a knack of improving this type of horse and an opening mark of 78 does not seem unrealistic. Topliss takes another 3lb off and the stables horses have been running well if not winning.

  13. Re: BBOTD Wednesday 18th of April 4.20 CHELTENHAM MIRACLE HOUSE @ 20/1 bet365 BOG Hcap debut for this ex Irish horse, got within 2 1/2l of a 132 rated rival on debut for the yard. The Vaughan stable are in much better form now and a mark of 115 looks very workable. A stiff 3m should suit and looks versatile regarding ground.

  14. Re: BBOTD Tuesday 17th of April 5.20 KEMPTON QOZAK @ 16/1 STAN JAMES I'm risking the wrath of the Addpea by selecting this one! Rated 140 for Nicholls and I remember backing at Taunton when it led from start to finish, hopefully it will be able to do something similar today. Still only an 8yo unlike some of his rivals today who are on the downgrade. Has in my opinion one on the best Jockeys on the PTP scene and if getting his own way in front could make them all go today. Versitile regarding ground, would have gone EW but need a big price winner to get me back on track this month.

  15. Re: BBOTD - Monday 16th April 2012 WINDSOR 4.30 UNCLE FRED @ 8/1 BOYLES BOG Last 2 wins have come at this track off marks of 76 and 77 (78 today). He also won on seasonal debut last season. He is clearly a spring horse with 2 wins 2 seconds and a third from 8 runs in April and May. All his best form is on fast ground like today. Has already been nibbled at in the market and can see him going off a lot shorter than 8's.

  16. Re: BBOTD Sunday 15th of April 3.35 MARKET RASEN MIRIFIC @ 14/1 BET VICTOR BOG Unexsposed type that has only had 5 runs over hurdles so improvement likely. Was made fav on hcap debut so stable must think he has some ability, ran ok that day and 2lb lower today. Small stable who rarely send runners up north (first runner at M Rasen) could be a big price at 14's.

  17. Re: BBOTD Friday 13th of April 4.50 AINTREE ORSIPPUS @ 14/1 BOYLES BOG Runs really well at this venue and would have been a lot closer in this race last season but for being hampered late on. The drying ground will be to his advantage and looks like he's been aimed at this race. Ran 3rd in the Coral Cup off this mark last season but missed Cheltenham this year. Money for this today, so can go close at a big price.

  18. Re: BBOTD Thursday 12th of April Above post should be TAKEROC by the way. Addpea I'm sure there will be 12 Hunter chase days this month and if not if your record is so good then just post on the Hunter chase days and fill in will some odds on shots to make your 12 tips up. I'm sure we would all benefit from your undoubted fantastic insight in this field and you could win the comp into the bargain.

  19. Re: BBOTD Thursday 12th of April 4.15 AINTREE TAKLEROC @ 22/1 BOGDOG (IF ALLOWED) IF NOT 20/1 SKYBET Has a win and a second from 3 runs at the track and looks like he missed Cheltenham for this. He's ran ok off this mark a couple of times and Derham takes a useful 7lbs off. The Nicholls stable are in fantastic form with 8 winners from last 12 runners, any drying of the ground will help but still looks big at around 20/1.

  20. Re: BBOTD - Wed 11th April 2012 7.50 DUNDALK KAJERA @ 10/1 BETVICTOR BOG Ran well here last run last season when staying on at his first try at 1m, he was drawn bad in 12 that day, todays draw in 2 should help. Runs off 67 today but claimer takes 5lb off. He's only had 6 runs so good chance of improvement from 3 to 4. Trainer is in good form with 2 wins and 2 placed from last 8 runners.

  21. Re: BBOTD 10th April 4.25 PONTEFRACT SUITS ME @ 7/1 BOYLES BOG From 5 course runs he has a win, two seconds and a third. Has been contesting listed events on the AW in the winter then had a spell in Meydan where he ran ok. Jockey booking significant with Spencer 30% for the stable (46% last season). This might sound like silly comment over 1m 2f but the draw of 1 is good as he runs from the front and could make them all go.

  22. Re: BBOTD - Mon 9 April 4.00 CHEPSTOW KACK HANDED @ 10/1 BET365 BOG The Vaughan stable are back in form with 4 wins and 2 seconds from last 11 runners. This one shows all his best form on top of the ground, he has a win and a third from 3 runs on G/F and has been in the first 3 in 9 of 16 runs on good. His last win came off 113 (111 today), looks a big price at 10's.
