  1. Re: La Liga > November 29th - December 1st A. Bilbao - Barcelona Barcelona will be without Messi and Victor Valdes and we saw that they are not the same without them against Ajax. Moreover, A. Bilbao managed 3 draws in last 5 home games against Barcelona and twice the score was 2-2, including the last game. Draw @ 4.20 Bet365 (if you like risky bets) A.Bilbao Over 1.5 Goals @ 3.00 Bet365

  2. Re: CSKA Moscow v FC Bayern München > Wednesday November 27th It is cold and snowing in Moscow today and as usual I don't expect that the pitch will be that good. So, I doubt that the Germans will risk too much here and will settle for a narrow win. Moreover, Moscow is a hard place to get a result, especially in winter, so I also don't expect to see many goals here. Under 2.5 Goals @ 2.20 Bet365 (as a single bet) Under 3.5 Goals @ 1.44 Bet365 (in an accumulator)

  3. Re: Arsenal v Olympique Marseille > Tuesday November 26th

Yes if Dortmund win their next two games and Arsenal beat Marseille and lost to Napoli in their last match' date=' all 3 teams will end up with 12 pts. Goal difference will be taken into account, not head to head. Head to head only applies to two teams with the same points.[/quote'] In that case only goal difference between teams in question will be considered. Matches against Marseille will not be taken into account.
  4. Re: Real Madrid v Galatasaray SK > Wednesday November 27th Even if Ronalo will miss this one I can't see Galatasaray troubling the since they will be without Fernando Muslera and Weslej Snejderm. Watched them yesterday against Sivasspor and they were poor and managed only 2-1 win at home. Can see Real Madrid winning this without too much trouble and can see goals here. Real Madrid & Over 3.5 @ 2.30 Bet365 looks good to me.

  5. Re: Arsenal v Southampton > Saturday November 23rd Even though I am Arsenal supporter I will say that Southampton are overpriced here. They are 3rd in the League and lost only 1 game so far. They won at Liverpool away and took a point from Old Trafford. It is hard to say whether this form will continue till the end of the season or not. Meanwhile, Arsenal will most likely have Theo Walcott back, but Wojciech Szczesny may miss this one, so would suggest Both to Score. Last times these sides met the Gunners won 6-1 and the same scoreline was recorded back in 2003. So correct score 6-1 can be found as high as @ 151 with some bookies, so might put 1 EUR on that just for fun.

  6. Re: World Cup Play-Offs Asia/Oceana/America > Wednesday November 13th

I just found out on this forum that they are playing local players as I haven't researched this match. I can't believe it to be honest. I remember when a determined NZ side frustrated the reigning World Champions Italy in the 2010 group game and ended the group undefeated, ending with 3 draws. So these guys know how to frustrate, believe that. I watch the A league (where most of these players play) and while they aren't UEFA Champions League material believe me they aren't the mugs some are taking them for. The thing that might really save Mexico here is the altitude as the conditions of playing in Mexico and NZ are almost polar opposites.
My thoughts exactly. I don't understand how Mexico coach can underestimate the opponent in such an important game and not call-up players based in Europe.
  7. Re: World Cup Play-Offs Asia/Oceana/America > Wednesday November 13th

The problem is its two-legged so Uruguay don't need to bust a gut and win in Jordan, hence the rather generous looking price of 1.25. They should obviously win as the odds imply, but it's definitely not a nailed on bank job as far as I'm concerned. A draw wouldn't be anything like a disaster for them as they will win easily at home. And that puts me off a bit. I think Mexico is a better option at 1.22 with Bet365 in front of a raucous home crowd. Yes they are playing mostly domestic players with none of the overseas stars based in Europe, but I think it's unlikely New Zealand will be able to cope with the high energy tactics of the new coach. And this is a chance for a number of these players to shine in the spotlight with a rare international opportunity. They will want to take a win to New Zealand. I'd expect Mexico to win by at least a couple of goals but maybe as many as 3 or 4 despite the Kiwis metaphorically parking the bus in front of goal.
Looks like they are underestimating the New Zealand. It is a World Cup Play-off and in my opinion the best possible team should play regardless of the opponent. Guess New Zealand to Qualify @ 8.50 Bet365 looks decent in my opinion.
  8. Re: Manchester United v Arsenal > Sunday November 10th

Very surprised at the ridiculously high odds of Arsenal given their amazing run of form. To be able to beat Dortmund at their home ground is an incredibly amazing feat no matter how you look at it. Does anyone actually think they can beat United? Still in a dilemma over this.
As an Arsenal supporter I think they can, but since they have a 5 point lead I don't see them going all out attack and can see this one ending in a draw.
  9. Re: Sunderland v Manchester City > Sunday November 10th The Citizens are in good form and I am quite sure most of the punters will take either straight away win or bet on goals market. However, Man.City has a poor record at the Stadium of Light, haven't lost their last 3 away games against Sunderland by the same scoreline 1-0. Another game back in 2010 ended 1-1. So, I guess a small punt on Sunderland @ 9.00 is worth considering as well as Under 2.5 Goals @2.30 (both Bet365).

  10. Re: FC København v Galatasaray SK > Tuesday November 5th

My friend is a Galatasaray supporter' date=' so he reads a number of Turkish sources couple of times a day. So I can say that Muslera and Snejder are out, and based on that Both to Score looks like a good bet here @ 1.66[/quote'] In addition to that I would like to note that Galatasaray have kept only 1 clean sheet in their last 10 games, while Copenhagen failed to score only once in their last 10 games (that was against Real Madrid). However, they did manage to score 23 goals in the remaining 10 games. 9 out of last 10 Copenhagen games and 8 out of last 10 Galatasaray games produced at least 3 goals. Over 2.5 Goals @ 1.85 Bet365
  11. Re: Real Sociedad v Manchester United > Tuesday November 5th

I want to back Man.United here' date=' but their inconsistent form plus poor record against Spanish sides in Spain (only 2 wins, 9 draws and 10 losses) stops me.[/quote'] Based on the record the Red Devils have against Spanish teams taking Real Sociedad not to lose may look like a good option. However, I would have seriousely considered these stats if Man. United were playing against an in form Spanish team. But Real Sociedad has been inconsistent recently, while Man. United have won their last 4 games and I don't think that they will lose here. Man. United or Draw @ 1.40 Bet365
  12. Re: Juventus v Real Madrid > Tuesday November 5th Both sides are in good form but I will be backing Juventus here due to the following reasons.

    • Firstly, even if Real Madrid loses they will remain top of the group; and
    • Secondly, Juventus have a good home record against Real Madrid, having won last 4 games against them

Some statistics from uefa.com "The teams have faced each other 15 times – all in the European Cup – with home advantage proving key: Madrid's home record is W5 L2 while Juventus' is W5 L1." Juventus @ 2.50 Bet365

  13. Re: Shakhtar Donetsk v Bayer 04 Leverkusen > Tuesday November 5th Shakhtar are inconsistent at the moment. They have lost their last game to Volyn 0-2. Moreover, they have a poor record against German teams and are without a win against German side for 30 years. The Germans however, play some good football this season and have recorded 8 wins, 1 draw (against Bayern Munchen) and 1 loss (their last game) in the last 10 games. So, I don't think that Leverkusen will lose this one and would suggest Leverkusen or Draw @ 1.75 Bet365 (in an accumulator)
