  1. Re: Tote Jackpot Question? All tote dividends can be found on the totes website, click the tote pool section and then click the java browser app, this contains all the placepots, quadpots, jackpots and scoop 6 bets 4 etc you can even track them when they are in progress :) i had the placepot up at brighton for £1 today but if you had it for £6 :clap happy spending :lol

  2. Re: Epsom 4th June

Just wondering' date=' what was the point of the pace maker in that race? Fame And Glory was about a length off the whole time, couldnt he have just made the running himself?[/quote'] Yep quite true however, if the race was to go at a crawl it may of just been for a bit of insurance im quite unsure put thought would give my tupence worth ;)
  3. Re: Epsom 4th June

Had some objectives thoughts about the card as i always feel Epsom is a bit open therefore have dismissed certain runners tomorrow and came up with 1.40 Bushman - impressed me last time out beating Ordnance Row at Windsor. This is within its grasp as the horse is lightly raced for a 6yo and older horses seem to do well in this race. 10/1 Bet365 2.45 Cavalryman - 3rd in the arc, now with Godolphin, Frankie rides the course well, Sariska needs to ovecome poor fillies record in the race. Fame and glory beats small fields in ireland, this is different, no value at evs for a horse who has been winning over shorter 8/1 Bet365 4.05 Aviate - for reasons already given 5/1 Bet365 0.5pts win patent 0.5pts EW treble 4.5pts staked
Good shout bowles, off to a flyer lets hope for cavalry man next :clap
  4. Re: Placepot players

You probably have put it in the wrong place but......;) It is a what I call a "fun bet", however there are plenty of serious players who make it their main type of bet.... I think the main problem people have is that they dont select enough runners in the final leg. Punters can start with the first race and then work their way through and by the time they reach legs 5 and 6 they end up selecting just one or two runners to keep the cost down. I personally think these are the legs you need to have the runners in, as it is now payday so to speak. I often banker the first two legs knowing that if I go out then I always have the fallback of a quadpot. Without knowing how many pounds you will tend to stake, have you considered reducing your unit stake to get more runners in?
Sounds like a good shout :D, i wouldn't categorise myself as a "serious" punter and on a placepot would spend up to £20 i think your quite right to put more selections on the last because whatever happens you definitely need a place in the last, im gunna use all the tips and hints and :hope come up trumps cheers for the tips :cheers
  5. I have a keen intrest in the placepot bet as it can get you involved in a days racing card for just the cost of a few quid, however it can be so frustrating when 9/10 times you can hit 5 and then the dividend goes and pays a fortune !!! I am at the point where i think i need a couple of hints and tips as it has been so long since i have hit the 6 . . . Am i the only person that enjoys this bet ? Am i wasting my money? (i apologise if i have put this thread in the wrong place, if so tell me where to go with it :ok ) Cheers Andy

  6. Re: BBOTD - Monday May the 31st I agree Chris MY BEST BET 350 LEICSTER (4/1 avaliable at Hills) A versatile horse who was only beaten a short head last time out, since that 2 horse from behind have franked the form and won next time out. Has won from 6f, 7f and a mile so the drop back in trip shouldn't scupper his chances 1pt win

  7. Re: 30 accumulators in 30 days nice idea mate, cheap way of not going crazy especially if you don't have the cash ! But :hope the divedends will pay nice if you get a couple on the board, hope Ryan rides the whole card 4 ya ;) good luck

  8. Re: BBOTD - Sunday May 30th

B]Newmarket 5.50: Rockabilly Rebel 1pt win @ 12/1 Coral BOG Lucky last at Newmarket for me and going to take a gamble on Barry Hills runner Rockabilly Rebel. Maiden form shows this horse to look very well handicapped from current mark of 65 so now as a 3yo, if the step up to 7f brings about any kind of improvement this horse could go very close and think at 12/1 looks the best value horse left on today's remaining cards. All in for the win baby!!
    great shout m8 :clap
  9. Re: BBOTD - Sunday May 30th

:welcomeAndrew, good luck and always good to have young members on the forum (best to say you are 18 mate for betting purposes!) 5.25 Fontwell Harlequinn Danseur Been running on the flat recently after switching stables, now joined J Flint who does well with a small string and has Tom O'Brien riding this one today. Has some reasonable jumps form albeit in class 5 races but has run well at plumpton which is another difficult tight track like fontwell 22/1 Stan James 1pt win
:welcome Andrew' date=' I look forward ot reading your tips[/quote'] cheers lads will do Bowles cheers for the heads up :ok good luck with all selections
  10. Re: BBOTD - Sunday May 30th Good morning guys, i hope saying this don't end up with me being banned but here it goes ;). Im a 17yr old budding chef and for the past 3 yrs have found a great passion for horse racing since introduced to it by my mums boyfriend who has been a keen punter for many years. As soon as i was introduced i was mesmerised with the sport and after watching a few cheltenham gold cup meetings for e.g, the sport just captured me, the hard work and time going into the day to day basis was just in my eyes amazing. After my first year i found out about many different "fairytale stories" like Kauto Star's rise to fame in the king george and the rivalry between him and Denman, and then for the sport to re-capture this with Sea The Stars heroics. I can say that the sport is just engulfing and makes you feel involved (especially if you manage to have a few quid on a winner ... not that i do OF COURSE :lol) having been a member for around a year now i have been astounded by the amout of long priced winners found by you guys and the fact that you share the same passion is great so i thought i would give it a go too, obviously many people won't give it a second looking the horses i put up but i just think it is one of the most intresting things to do solve a horse racing puzzle and pick the winner. I feel i have learnt alot about the industry in the past 3 yrs and thought there would be no harm in giving it a shot so here it goes 2PT EW 405 NEWMARKET RUN FOR THE HILLS- 10/1 (lad,b365,sportin bet, skybet, tote) I have kept a keen eye on this horse and feel he always travels well in his races until the last furlong, has run in a lot of hot races of recent times and this looks a little easier , goes course and distance and has been dropped 9lbs since last run a solid e-w bet for me :hope for a good start. cheers Andy:ok
