  1. Re: Wsop Ppv Evening GotaFancy, First time ive been to PL for a loooong time, lost interest in poker but this years WSOP has relit the fire so to speak! Hope you've been running well.

  2. Re: Books? pobby the bubble is just before the money in a MTT, ie top 20 paid only 21 left, 21st goes out, or bubbles out, with zero cash. Dunno the origins of the name though.

  3. Re: Books? For me the two HOH are, but they are only really applicable to STT or more so MTT. I dont really play cash so for me they were spot on. Def improved my game, the first is the early stages up until the bubble/early money, the second one on the closing stagies of tournies. Ace on the river more a poker philosify book, interesting read and that but not one your re-read over and over again in my opinion. Stu Ungars just wanted to read the sotry of an amazing but fcuked up guy.

  4. Re: Books? Gota agree with Blade, wish Harrington was out before i bought my others. Also recently read Greensteins 'Ace on the river' which was decent and if you get a holiday Stu Ungars bio 'Man behind the shades' is a good one.

  5. Re: Philossify launches a Full Time Poker career Philossify, Just come across this thread, very interesting idea and something I wish I could do. One thing I dont see your doing is rakeback, previously I steered away from it as I was primarily a STT/MTT player but betfair now offer 30% rakeback for STT/MTT as well as cash. The money is deposited automatically in your account every month, nothing else to do. You will need to sign up a different username but the bonus of getting 30% of your tourney buyins back every month outweighs this. Im not putting the link up here but I signed up via a regular poster on the betfair forum who is an affliate with this deal, I can give you/anyone details but maybe a better idea is if someone could sort out a PL one? Anyway, just something for you to consider, good luck on your quest!

  6. Re: Will Hill as bad as the cheats Sorry Sherry but thats wrong, If you have different logins for all the cryptologic skins you can sit down at the same table as yourself, however the software will block you from actually playing all but one due to all the logins coming from the same IP address. If you really really wanted to cheat you would have to use a broadband account and a dialup account and therefore two laptops or PCs, but surely if people are prepared to go to all that time and effort it might be better for them just to learn the game abit better?

  7. Re: Thunder 6paks Totally agree, waste of money, far too loose. It took me a while to get to grips with the normal 6packs, these will just ruin your game, try moving from one to a normal 10stt, its like time slowed down. I think these are just another quicker way for cryptologic to have player turnover, sooner betfair move to their own network (I beleive this year) the better.

  8. Re: Party Poker Cheers for the info, just tried it and its excellent, resizable tables at last! Wish all the other rooms had this option, multi-tabling is now so much easier

  9. Re: Ring tables or tournaments? Exactly what I found when I started Danny, x BB per hour etc etc I tried limit and found it very very boring, I play poker primarily for enjoyment, the cash if i win is nice but as long as it doesnt end up financially interfering with my day to day life fine. Stick to what you enjoy, STT, MTT, the cash tables, limit, pot limit theres really something for everyone. One thing I found is that it is easier to play the 20 STTs rather than the 5 or 10, the skill level is slightly higher, you get less crazy things happening. If you want a book to read check out Harrington on Hold-em, both volumes out now and not one reference to BB per hour :ok
