  1. You definitely got the best odds on Billericay! Hold no value now imo with the possibility of the owner going bankrupt/losing interest mid-season..certainly will happen at some point, just a question of when. Can see him losing interest when attendances don't increase as he expects them to, no way they can continue as they are with an owner with such a dodgy financial history. Great play at odds you got them for, expect the wheels to fall off when they get to the Conference and he cant afford to spend his way out of it.

  2. Thinking of Forest and Stoke outright. Stoke have the best squad in the league by a mile, bit short up front but a lot of players who could do a job in the Prem.

Forest are following the Wolves blueprint getting in promising Portuguese youngsters! Not the same sort of arrangement Wolves had with Mendes but they have money behind them and signing £15m midfielders is serious business. Grabban will get 15-20 goals minimum..they are a long shot but the odds reflect that.

Bet big on Middlesborough last season and they were poor most of the season, never thought they would go up, squad hasn't improved, if Traore isn't on top form they struggle to create anything.

  3. All Betfair.

Thomas Muller 34/1 - I'm not sure Werner will start games but Muller certainly will and looks a decent price as he is consistently one of the top scorers for Germany and they should get to the semis at least. Form has been better for Bayern this season and he top scored in 2010 and second in 2014.

Griezmann 14/1 Top goal scorer at Euro 2016 and in the form of his life currently. Takes penalties and playing for one of the favourites. No brainer.

Lukaku 20/1 They have an easy group which they should win and are an attacking side with a manager who can't set his team up to defend. Would probably need them to get to the semis for this to come in but he will be their main striker and with De Bryne, Hazard feeding him he should get a fair few chances.

  4. I don't bet the amounts I used to a couple of years ago..Brexit finished me off :lol..

Do enjoy season long bets though as it gives you teams to follow throughout the season, only ever do them as singles. Think it's hard enough predicting one outcome let alone two or more..

I've got Luton to go up, think there's very little chance of them winning the league, really stumbling over the line, due to inconsistency of sides around them they should get enough points to go up. My bets on Burnley and Brighton to get relegated not looking too strong though..:lol

Took Bayern and Barca to win the CL when they were both 6/1 which is looking decent after the draw.

You've had a good ride out of a tenner though..If I was looking at 6 bets though I would certainly want to bet 4-fold and 5-fold though, just so unlikely all are going to come in.

  5. Ashford to beat Hastings in the trophy worth a play, Hastings playing poorly the manager has said he is annoyed with the more experienced players (of which there aren't many) and he's going to play even more of the academy youngsters, already operating on a reduced budget this season with a totally new XI with all the good players leaving. Don't know anything about Ashord but they won their last match 10-0 in the league and sit in the top 4 at a similar level of football. Don't know if anyone is pricing it up other than betvictor but they have Ash at 2.38.

I'll be there only because you can drink while you watch..

  6. I'm going to have a play on Napoli @ 2/1 (without Juventus). Juve will most likely win the league, Bonucci transfer is bizarre but they have massive strength in depth even with him leaving Chiellini/Rugani/Barzagli/Benatia is better than anyone else in the league can offer. Add Bernardeschi going forward and no-one is going to catch them..

Roma will challenge and fall short as usual, lost 3 key players who haven't been replaced, heavily reliant on Dzeko to score 25-30 to keep them in the hunt.

Napoli score goals for fun and look a good price for second to me, no losses of any significance and if they can tighten up a bit at the back they won't be far off. They only lost 1 game after November last season and they will be as strong away as at home, tons of pace and one of the best teams to watch in Europe.

  7. Are Billericay really 1.8 shots for the Ryman Prem!? I see the owner has a wage budget of 25k a week (some other clubs in the league work on 2.5k) and they are signing tons of players from higher league clubs..the owner rubs people up the wrong way with some of his statements by the looks of it ('best non-league club in the world' apparently) but he will see anything other than the title as failure with the kind of money he's putting in.

Was looking at Margate as they have signed 3 of Hastings best players (65 goals between them last season) and thought at 17 they might be worth a punt and a new 3g pitch too which usually provides a advantage, Billericay look to be playing in a different league financially though and I would think at that level the money will make a massive difference.

  8. Long time no speak..been a while.

PSG to score looks a must tonight – although the odds are garbage now so prob in-play. Barca aren’t playing a Spanish minnow tonight, PSG are much better when playing sides that attack them – see their struggles against sides that put 11 behind the ball – Di Maria/Moura/Draxler are all rapid and they will create chances on the counter. I couldn’t confidently predict an outcome in the game but talk of Barca going through sounds fanciful to me, they haven’t convinced me this season and beating sides like Celta Vigo 5-0 doesn’t mean anything. PSG are a better team overall and I can see them scoring here as Barca will have to push forward in numbers at some point. Mascherano playing again is a blow for the bet as he is the brains in that backline.

Dortmund look like a banana skin in general, someone with a decent gameplan will knock them out. I admire Benfica as they seem to retain the same level while losing all their best players, Jonas is past his best but Mitro has stepped up to the plate this year. I don’t really think Benfica should go through but wouldn’t be confident enough about Dortmund to back them on a handicap.

Personally my big bet to win at the start of the comp was At Madrid at 15 and backed R.Madrid at 6.5 later on. Tempted by Juve at 9 now too.

  9. I wouldn't touch either game in the group with Spurs. To me this is the toughest group at this stage, with a lot of quality in it, and despite rotations.

A strong double to me would be Fiorentina and Villareal to win. The current gap is huge as footballing merits. In the case of Lech, a legendary Polish club, IMO their absolute priority is the domestic league, with a terrible start. The Polish play-off system doesn't write off any team despite being rock-bottom when play offs start, I have seen Korona Kielce staying in the top flight despite a horrible season. Yet Lech look horrible at the moment, toothless forward and shaky at the back. Fiore don't need to push much to win this one comfortably. Villareal dropped points in Viena, the game could have gone either way, can't see any upset here again with a huge difference in class. Both games could be risked with a -1,5 Hçap as singles, at least one coming up will pay off, but I rather pair them at the odds for a straight win. Must have been a strong bet somewhere, or thing we don't know, but Fiore rose from 1,20 to 1,36...

I see goals in Vienna again, with 2 clearly attacking sides. Either a ''heavy bet'' on the low-priced Over 2,5, or a risky Over 3,5 with moderate stakes.

In-play I am always watching all games with French teams involved, in Europe they produce often high-scoring games at great odds (which are reflecting the low-scoring domestic league and therefore not justified). Other games to watch for goals in-play are the one in Belgrade, with Partizan always in attacking mood at home, yet often doing childish mistakes in defence, which Bilbao can take advantage of....plus Legia Warshawa vs Bruuge - an early goal here could make the game a very high-scoring one. Alkmaar and Augsburg could also mean many goals, the Germans with two games lost will open up a bit more than they usually do - Augsburg have always been ''conservative'' team to me forward for the German standards, and with AZ involved the game is a potential Over 3,5 one...

    GL all

Lech have just changed coach I believe which might be the reason for price rise, although it doesn't change anything for them league is the priority. Fiorentina will change most of their starting XI according to reports, Rossi might well get a start for them up front which will be interesting. As a general rule I avoid the sub 1.4 sides in the Europa League..

  10. Hi guys,

it's my first time here my name is Paolo. First time and first pick...

WOLSBURG v PSV  = BTTS 1,71 Unibet  (to be fair in Italy is possible take combobet "1X+BTTS" at 1,95 and this is my choice but i didn't find it in uk bookie)

    They are two offensive side!

Wolfsburg is not the same of last season whitout De Bruine and Perisic but is strong at home. In last 38 home games all competitons had lost only two (Everton and Napoli in Europa league).

PSV away from home is not very consistent, tonight are missing Arias regular center back. It will back De Jong that is his best striker.  PSV last 10 games? 10 BTTS

It's a crucial game for both side but i think we can see some goals.

    Paulì

I agree got this too..although I'm holding out for better odds in-play, which generally ends in disaster..

Astana have only named 4 subs..has that happened before in a CL group game!?

  11. Also taken PSG to win at 2.5 and a bigger bet DNB at 1.7-1.78 (betfair)..PSG have been very solid at home for years and Real haven't been playing well for a while, it looks 50/50 to me who wins that group but PSG are far stronger at home than away so will look to make this game count.

Regarding Madrid's injuries, Benzema and Modric might play - expect Ramos to start. Given that Benz and Mod have muscular injuries it would be a risk to start them but it wouldn't surprise me to see Benz start. Given the way they play James is a bigger miss than Bale. PSG rested a number of players at the weekend who were carrying knocks, expect Di Maria, Veratti, Matuidi and Motta to start.

Can't resist taking Sevilla DNB at 4.5 (betfair), City without Silva and Aguero are generally a different proposition in Europe, Aguero gets most of their goals and Bony tends to look clumsy against tactically astute sides. De Bruyne is a good player and will have to take most of the creative responsibility. I don't think Sevilla are any great shakes but they have picked up a bit in the league recently Gameiro is no Bacca but the price is good and with draw cover I'll give it a go as City rarely convince in Europe like they do in the Prem.

  12. Astana are resting players for the game against Atletico as they have an important league game at the weekend. This is from Marca;

"A visit to Calderón is never peaceful. Intensity combat Atletico played four days before a title is not the recommended recipe. Or at least, he must have thought Stanimir Stoilov, coach of Astana, aware that the Champions League is far from the war around. Given the position to prioritize, it is clear, the Kazakh league.

Therefore, both the squad and the eleven line up, there are several absences regarding the 12 players who faced Benfica and Galatasaray. Among them, Roger Canas, fixed to center field and scored on Saturday in the victory against Ordabasy. Even the added point before Turkish technician clouds intentions. "Our priority is the Kazakh League. They are nine hour flight to Madrid. I will put to rest four or five regulars," he warned.

Astana this weekend will face Kairat Almaty, leader of the League playoff decides, five points behind. Hence, the four remaining games are vital to try to reissue the title won last year for the first time in its history. "We send all our strength to win the Kairat. We are realistic and know that Atletico is better," he said."

Atletico handicap is pretty skinny at 1.425, wouldn't back them to win by 3 but -2.0AH might be playable..I expect them to win by at least two, Simeone wants to win the group and they have to win this if they are to achieve this.

  13. I always find it interesting when you get Barcelona players and such saying they'd love Rooney at their club. Ibrahimovic the other week ws waxing lyrical about Rooney too. Guys who's opinion should be a lot more informed that the average fan, you'd think. For punting purposes, shouldn't affect tonight though.

Hardly going to say 'nah, don't want him he's shi*e!' are they! :lol..

As for him being overrated by everyone in England, I don't think he is really. There was an argument about 6-7 years ago as to whether he was world class / could be considered world class and most agreed he probably wasn't but could be if his game continued to progress at the current rate..that came and went and he has been regressing for a few years now, probably his worst season to date for United isn't it? His goal numbers have remained pretty consistent to be fair over the years but his best years have certainly been and gone..

  14. Georgia v Gibraltar

Gibraltar will lose this game, doubt if Georgia will score more than 4 though, defensive sides struggle to attack on masse but the Gibraltar defence - especially the goalkeeper - are of poor standard and the worst in this competition. They are decent going forward though and will attack at every opportunity - another reason they have conceded so many goals in this comp, they try to score unlike San Marino and Andorra (away at least) who just sit in and press in their defensive third. Gibraltar have scored against Scotland and Poland away and very nearly against Ireland away too so I don't think it is beyond them to score here, 4.0 looks too good to pass up.

    Over 2.5 Goals and BTS - 4.0 - bet365 - 2 Points

    Switzerland v San Marino

The banker of the round. No chance at all Switzerland won't score at least 3 with the players they have, San Marino haven't improved much. Only get nervous if they get a set piece in the Switzerland half which will happen probably 3 or 4 times, Switzerland haven't qualified yet so need to win the game.

    Over 2.5 Goals and BTS (No) - 1.30 - bet365 - 20 Points

    Croatia v Bulgaria

Bulgaria are fairly hopeless, already out of the competition they have rotated the squad quite a lot. 6 of the starters from the last match against Italy haven't been called up (1 is suspended) especially in defence they look light on experience. Popov their best attacking player has been declared fit to play which is a bonus but they have been really struggling to score goals. Croatia have to win this game - simple as that, in a right scrap to qualify. Mandzukic is injured so Kalinic will come in, he has been doing well for Fiorentina so that isn't much of a negative. Modric, Rakitic, Kovacic, Perisic will all start. Probably not worth it at current odds, best to look at it in-play.

    Croatia -1.0AH - 1.65 - bet365 - 4 Points

  15. Bottom line is Juve were miles away from any other Italian side last season. Napoli and Roma raised the bar for the odd game but couldn't do it for any extended period of time. Roma have improved their squad this season but haven't got the quality Juve have and Garcia is hopeless, Milan should be better than last year (not hard) but will probably take time to gel after changing most of the side. We wait to see how much the loss of world-class players like Tevez and Vidal affects Juve but they are still the side to beat..

  16. Slovan Bratislava should cover the handicap easily against UCD. The students did well to get through the last round despite getting battered in the return game - 41 shots on and off target I believe. Still they are made up of students and run by volunteers, Bratislava are a good outfit to bet on at this stage, decent attackers in Vittek and Priskin and pretty solid defensively. Its the best side UCD will ever have played and I don't expect them to leave without losing by 2 at the very least. Bratislava -1.5AH - 1.35 - bet365 - 10 Points Bratislava -2.0AH - 1.5 - bet365 - 8 Points Bratislava -2.5AH - 1.85 - bet365 - 3 Points Bratislava to win to nil - 1.61 - bet365 - 2.5 Points

  17. I've had a couple of bets on KR at home to Rosenborg, Icelandic sides are getting better - like the International side - and they have very good youth development. KR are doing well in the league, so are Rosenborg to be fair, Rosenborg are one of those sides I never trust and away from home it wouldn't surprise me to see them struggle, more of a hunch than anything KR just look a big price. KR DNB - 5.3 - betfair - 2 Points KR +1.0AH - 1.975 - betfair - 2 Points

  18. Any views on West Ham v Birkirkara? The Hammers seem very short odds considering they wont have anything resembling a first choice team out
Owners son Jack Sullivan tweeted that they will be putting a strong side out tonight. Most of their strikers are out though, team is likely to be something like this; Adrian; O’Brien, Tomkins, Reid, Cresswell; Poyet, Noble; Amalfitano, Nolan, Jarvis; Maiga/Lee Team will be more experienced than they played in the last round. Wouldn't expect West Ham to win by more than 3.
  19. [TABLE=class: couponTable]Molde v Pyunik After their pathetic display in the previous round - and the general struggles of Armenian sides over the years - I'm happy to be on Molde straight and -1.0AH. Pyunik didn't have many weapons and struggled to break down the San Marino side in the first qualifying round and looked very dodgy dealing with anything that came into the box, their passing in particular was very poor. Molde aren't tearing up any trees currently but performances in the league have been improving although they are struggling to finish off chances. I would expect them to dominate possession here, perhaps Pyunik will be better suited to playing on the break, they certainly weren't comfortable on the front foot from what I saw. As long as Molde can keep Romero quiet, who looked their only player, they should win by a couple and ensure progress. Molde - 1.35 - matchbook - 5 Points WIN Molde -1.0AH - 1.525 - bet365 - 5 Points WIN Celtic v Stjarnan Fancy Celtic to score a few here, they are far better than the side who went out in the play-offs last year. Delia had only been in the job 5 minutes and was trying to implement a new style of play so in hindsight it was no real surprise they struggled. Performances in the second half of the season were much improved with Celtic look to play a sharp passing style. Crazed Turkish striker/biter Ciftci may start after an impressive cameo against Sociedad at the weekend, but would expect Griffiths to keep his place, they have a few problems at the back with Van Dijk suspended (and probably about to leave anyway) - expect Boyata and the ever reliable Effy Ambrose to start in the centre. Stjarnan had a very good season last year but seem to be struggling this year lying in 6th 11 games in 9 points off the top, looking at their squad they have lost of few of the foreign players they had last year. Celtic played the Icelandic champions at this stage last year and beat KR 5-0 with a bit of a cobbled together squad, this year they are settled and the minimum I expect is 3-0. Celtic -1.5AH - 1.325 - bet365 - 5 Points WIN Celtic-2.0AH - 1.525 - bet365 - 5 Points PUSH
Molde battered them as expected. Celtic were more dominant than I perhaps expected, don't know how the hell they only won by 2 should have been 4 at least, missed penalty near the end confirmed a pretty frustrating result.
