Re: UEFA Champions League > Wednesday 20th October
Benitez fade :)I always told myself I would never back an Inter side if Cambiasso is not playing. Cambiasso and Sneijder are extremely pivotal for the success the team. If either of those 2 are out I would always be wary about backing Inter ESPECIALLY with Benitez as coach -
Re: UEFA Champions League > Tuesday 19th October UEFA Competitions 2010-2011 11-10-2 -0.60 units (52.38%) Shakhtar Donestk +0.5 +123 to bet 1 unit Could be an overlook type situation for Arsenal. Arsenal is riddled with injuries as well which wont help. Shakhtar been solid on the road the last couple of years in UEFA games. They've only lost one game on the road since 2008 and they even beat Barcelona on the road at one point a couple of years ago. I think they have a chance to win, so I took the +0.5, but I think a draw is very likely Real Madrid -156 to win 1 unit Real Madrid is finally getting there offense going, while AC Milan has been damn nearly terrible on the road. Mourinho also knows this team and knows it well. I think Real Madrid will win easily.

Re: Euro 2012 > 12th October International Soccer 2010 Overall 31-17-10 +13.79 units (64.58%) Slovakia pick -137 to win 1 unit A good defensive side against what I think is an overrated Ireland team. Either this ends up a 0-0 draw or Slovakia wins 1-0 IMO.

Re: Euro 2012 > 8th - 9th October International Soccer 2010 Overall 31-16-10 +14.79 units (65.95%) Israel pick +133 to bet 1 unit I went back and forth on this game for a while and finally decided that I'm going with Israel. Benayoun is out and that should decrease there offensive production but Israel's form at home has improved a lot. Croatia struggled against Greece who they were expected to beat and we could see the same type of game with Israel. This isn't the same Croatian team we usually see, they've lost a few players to injuries or suspensions for this one. Even Bilic admitted that he would be happy to get out of Israel with 1 point.

Re: Euro 2012 > 8th - 9th October International Soccer 2010 Overall 30-16-10 +13.73 units (65.21%) Russia pick +106 to bet 1 unit I have a feeling this will be a draw but I'm hoping that Russia gets one by. Ireland has faced Armenia and Andorra so far. Now what most shocking about the Andorra game is that they actually scored a goal (Andorra that is). Since 1998, Andorra has scored 6 goals in Euro qualifying, and they have won no games, or even drawn any games. They struggled against Armenia. Russia has had its ups and downs, but offensively, if they can finally get there talent to get going, they are far better then Ireland IMO. The problem would be if they actually play like I know they can.

Re: UEFA Champions League > Wednesday 29th September UEFA Competitions 2010-2011 9-10-2 -2.65 units (47.36%) Man United pick +105 to bet 1 unit I think there problem has been more defensively then offensively so far this year. Berbatov been playing pretty great. Rooney being out shouldn't affect them that much. I don't believe much in any of these Spanish teams are then the top 2, and I don't really buy into them much either. Tottenham -0.5 -123 to win 1 unit Tottenham's offense should play better in Europe. Crouch has played great so far in European competition and King being back for this game should be huge. Hopefully I'm not overhyped English teams

Re: UEFA Champions League > Tuesday 28th September UEFA Competitions 2010-2011 8-10-1 -3.65 units (44.44%) Been really struggling on the European front Chelsea -1 (-157) to win 1 unit Even though Chelsea is without Lampard or Drogba they should easily win this game considering OM's terrible defense and there complete inability to finish on offense Ajax pick -114 to win 1 unit Pretty solid home team, but more importantly I think is AC Milan has struggled so far this season and I think they continue to struggle since there not good on the road. Ajax has ability to score goals, and it seems like there's also some drama and turmoil surrounding the club.

Re: Russia Premier League September 18th-20th 2010 Russian Soccer 2010 19-17-2 -0.58 units (52.77%) Terek Grozni +0.5 (-111) to win 1 unit Going against my team and the best team on this one. But I could see maybe Zenit struggled a bit after playing just a few days ago on the road in Netherlands. Also T. Grozni is a pretty good home team. I am hoping for the sake of Zenit keeping there undefeated streak...this one ends a draw..but you never know...

Re: UEFA Champions League > 15th September UEFA Competitions 2010-2011 8-8-1 -1.00 units (50.00%) AS Roma +1 (-135) to win 1 unit Both teams struggling early. Bayern even though they were the runners up to the whole thing did pretty poorly in group stage last year and barely snuck into the next round by beating Juventus who might have been playing even worse. This will be a close game and I could see it ending a draw, don't see Bayern winning by multiples due to there offensive struggles early in the season. OM -130 to win 1 unit Spartak isn't that greatest offensive or away team. Auxerre proved against Zenit that the French league could compete with the top of the Russian league. OM's problems are on defense rather then offense. I think they simply outscore Spartak in this one.

Re: UEFA Champions League > 14th September UEFA Competitions 2010-2011 7-7-1 -0.91 units (50.00%) FC Schalke +0.5 -109 to win 1 unit Schalke really struggling so far to open the season but OL really not doing much better. I think this game likely ends in a draw but being that I think Schalke is better offensively I could see them sneaking one in. Also at least Schalke is losing to teams like Bayern and Hoffenheim while OL is losing to teams like Caen and Lorient. FC Copenhagen pick -112 to win 1 unit Rubin Kazan has been struggling of late in domestic play on the road. Not too long ago this team had only given up 1 goal all year on the road. Then after Zenit beats them 2-0 on the road they seemed to really hit the shitter drawing against some teams I think they would have usually beaten. FC Copenhagen just looking at previous results seems to be spectacular at home.

Re: Russia Premier League September 11th-12th 2010 Russian Soccer 2010 18-17-2 -1.58 units (51.42%) Lok Moscow +0.5 -115 to win 1 unit Taking a shot in the dark here, thats probably not a good idea but the odds seem off to me which usually tells me you shouldn't pick the obvious. CSKA is just as hot as Zenit right now. They've only lost 1 game all year on the road. Lokomotiv has been playing the exact opposite. They've lost 4 games in a row at home including to 1 team in the Europa League I haven't heard much about So why arent the odds a little higher for CSKA? Guess I'm doing reverse logic here.

Re: jamie's nfl hunt So you just picked the home team for every game this week? Will be interested to see how this goes

Re: Euro 2012 Qualifying > 7th September
I don't want to sound rude or anything' date=' jsut giving my opinion. Would like to say that friendlies do not really show the real quality of any given team. Azerbaijan defeated Czech Republic in a friendly this year and I did not jump to any conlcusions because in friendly games coaches try new formations and new players, some times they even use 11 substitutes in a geme.[/quote'] true friendlies don't really show quality but I think they show something. Anyway like I said in my very initial post that I think France presents value that you wouldn't usually get at that number. This is pretty much a must win situation for France. Like I said, I overreacted with the Bosnia being terrible post -
Re: Euro 2012 Qualifying > 7th September
Maybe an overreaction on my part about them being a terrible team but I wouldn't consider them a good team. Luxembourg Ghana Estonia Armenia Oman Liechtenstein The teams they've beaten since June last year. Other then Ghana, far from impressive. Losses to Spain and Portugal are expected, but a loss to Iran, and draws to Uzbekistan and Qatar are also far from impressive. I'd be shocked if France doesn't draw this team worse case scenario like I saidYou can't be serious. Bosnia is a very organised team and the only reason they did not play at this World Cup is because idiots at FIFA Changed the rules after France finished second in their group. -
Re: Euro 2012 Qualifying > 7th September International Soccer 2010 Overall 29-16-10 +12.73 units (64.44%) France pick -102 to win 1 unit I'm gonna kill myself for it but I think this bet presents good value. They shouldn't actually lose this, and hopefully they will finally get it turned around and win a game. Worst case I see a push in this to be honest, but I think France will win, Bosnia is a pretty bad team all around.

Re: Euro 2012 Qualifying > 2nd-3rd September Hello International Soccer 2010 Overall 29-16-9 +12.73 units (64.44%) Estonia +1 (+127) to bet 1 unit This is really just a shot at this, but Italy is running just about as well as France is right now. This is the same team that got a draw against New Zealand, anything can happen. Estonia is kind of good at home, and kind of good altogether. They got a draw against Portugal at home last year. They lost to Brazil just 1-0 at home last year. They've also beaten a few teams like Finland and Belgium. Seems like they are alright at home. Take a shot with this one.

Re: Russia Premier Division August 28th-30th 2010 Russian Soccer 2010 18-17-1 -1.58 units (51.42%) Rubin Kazan pick -135 to win 1 unit I expect a 1-0 score coming from Rubin here. Spartak hasn't lost a game at home this year, but they are yet to play any of the top 3 in the league at home who I think are just much better teams. Rubin is a spectacular defensive side and giving up .5 goals on the road this year. The only reason its even that high is because they gave up 2 to Zenit, which is the most goals they've given up all season. Worst case, I see a draw.

Re: UEFA Super Cup > Friday 27th August UEFA Competitions 2010-2011 7-6-1 +0.21 units (53.84%) Inter -112 to win 1 unit Probably should't be betting this game but I can Inter winning this one just 1-0, Atletico Madrid has a great offensive game. But they are bad defensively. They are terrible away from home. I just hope I'm not cursing Rafa in the 90th minute here, but Inter should win.

1. Mid September 09 - Red Wings to win the Stanley Cup - Loss (2nd Round) 2. Mid October 09 - Nuggets to win the NC - - Loss (2nd Round) 3. Mid October 09 - Texas to win the NC - - Loss (2nd round) 4. Mid March 10 - Phillies to win the WS - Pending 5. Early June 10 - Brazil to win the WC - Lose 6. Mid August 10 - Alabama to win the BCS Championship - Pending Two weeks from the start...here were some earlier leans... Colts +875 - They seem to be the book favorite. They'll be good as usual, but every year they have injuries on the defensive side. Will Bob Sanders play? Will Freeney play like he did years ago? Too many questions for me on the defense Cowboys +1000 - Great team, but as long as Wade Phillips is there coach, no. Chargers +1150 - This team is too up and down for me. They always start slow which is always a bad sign. Who knows how they play without LT and Merriman coming off an injury plagued year Ravens +1175 - Too many injuries already, Foxworth being out and Ed reed having more and more injuries every year now. Packers +1175 - Not unless they improve there defense a great deal Vikings +1350 - **** you Favre Jets +1400 - Don't trust the offense My Pick : Patriots +1400 By damnit I hate them but you can never count them out. Brady is now gonna be 2 years off his injury. Can never discount his connection with Moss. Wes Welker looks good coming off a bad injury at the end of last year. Edelman has been really stepping it up. I think Aaron Hernandez will also help them out, he was a great player @ Florida. They've got a young defense, and they lost Thomas, but I think they will be serviceable this year. Go Pats

Re: UEFA > Champions League > 24th - 25th August UEFA Competitions 2010-2011 7-4-1 +2.59 units (63.63%) Zenit pick/+0.5 -138 to win 1 unit Maybe a little bit of a homer play but I like Zenit in this game. It's been mentioned before that this team is yet to lose a game this season while Auxerre, in there limited league play, is yet to actually win a game (3 draws). They also haven't gone a game yet this year without giving up a goal. You could argue that Zenit has played better offensively and defensively on the road this year in the RPL. Dynamo Kiev +0.5 (+114) to bet 1 unit I see this one coming down as a draw or possibly maybe even a Kiev win. Ajax has a poor track record against teams that are any good at all when it comes to playing at home in Europe. Gazzaev, the manager of Dynamo Kiev is generally a very good manager when it comes to Europe and leading CSKA a few years back to some unexpected success. I can see this game being a total shootout. You've got Saurez in one end and Shevchenko can score as well for Kiev. I could easily see this ending up another draw, which would suit me just fine, but going the safe route with this one.

Re: UEFA > Champions League > 24th - 25th August UEFA Competitions 2010-2011 5-4-1 +0.59 units (55.55%) Sampdoria +114 to bet 1 unit Where Sampdoria lacks on the road, they make up at home, very rarely losing. Werder gave up a crucial goal in the first game that gave Sampdoria some hope. Bremen also isn't great on the road and they are lacking in defense it seems giving up 4 to Hoffenheim this weekend. I think Sampdoria has a pretty good shot at advancing to the group stage. Sporting Braga +1.5 (-129) to win 1 unit Will take a shot with this one. I think Sevilla probably wins, but just by 1. Who knows, with Fabiano possibly out the door. Squillaci being gone won't help them much either. I think Braga will also probably sit back the whole game considering there advantage, especially if Sevilla scores one.

Re: UEFA Champions League > 17th - 18th August UEFA Competitions 2010-2011 3-4-1 -1.56 units (42.85%) 2-0 yesterday, nice day :) Werder Bremen -121 to win 1 unit - 5Dimes Interesting game without Oezil but I don't think this changes the result of this game. Werder Bremen is already an experienced team in the Champions League and they have had success in the past against Italian teams. Sampdoria struggled on the road last year, at one point, going winless in 11 of 13 matches. Werder wins this one easily IMO Sporting Braga +115 to bet 1 unit - 5Dimes Sevilla is a pretty solid team but as of now i'm not too sure how good any of the teams in Spain are other then the top 2. Fabiano may not play today as well, which certainly can't help. Sporting Braga proved how strong they are at home with there domination of Celtic. Sporting Braga hasn't lost a game at home in regulation in over a year now. (Though the last one they did lose was in international play in the Europa League playoff round)

Re: UEFA Champions League > Wednesday 20th October UEFA Competitions 2010-2011 12-11-2 -0.60 units (52.17%) Tottenham +0.5 (+136) to bet 1 unit Rafa Benitez. Thats it. Rubin Kazan pick -116 to win 1 unit Rubin is a good defensive side that can really stop Panathinaikos from scoring. The Greek side has had trouble scoring goals in some of these games and I could just easily see this being a draw. Hopefully Rubin sneaks one in.
