  1. Re: Finland, Veikkausliiga, 22-23rd of april. MIFk - Honka 1 ml 2,27 6/10 @Mansion88 Mifk opened the season with strong performance against last year's champion Inter Turku continuing the good trend from Liigacup. I expect them to be midtable-team. In todays game important defender Rikama is questionable. Honka drawed against injury-ridden Lahti and according to reports it was a fair result. Many expect them to be one of the biggest championship canditates this year, I'm little more sceptical. Anyway, they are very solid team. They have no important injury worries. There's mainly two reasons for this bet. First, I think Mifk is generally just underrated team and secondly, they are big physical team which isn't the best suited opponent for a little lightweighted Honka.

  2. Re: Finland, Veikkausliiga, 22-23rd of april. No team news available yet on thursdays matches, but one bet worth mentioning as I don't believe these odds will last long. Hjk - TPS 1 1,90 7/10 @ Expekt HJK is maybe the biggest favourite to win Veikkausliiga. They played well on Liigacup and continued it in opening match against Kups winning 5-1. HJK's artificial pitch should be extra advantage to them in their home matches. HJK's website said they should probably continue with same team as in the opening game. TPS is having 4th coach in 3 seasons(Pasi Rautiainen starting this season) and if opening game is any yardstick they have still plenty of work to do to be competive. They lost 2-1 at home against Haka and their defense was awful according to reports and their midfield wasn't clicking either. HJK has very powerful forwards and midfield so TPS's weaknesses(defense mainly) are to be measured in a very tough spot. TPS is imo mid-table team. I guess HJK will be winning goal scoring changes by big margin here and therefore the game more probably than the odds suggest.

  3. Re: Finland, Veikkausliiga, 22-23rd of april. Vps - Haka Vps +0,25 1,74 7/10 @ 10bet Under 2,25 1,91 7/10 @ 188bet Correct score 0-0 8,50 1/10 @ 188bet Imo VPS and Haka are both lower midtable-teams with defensive oriented style of play. Under bet with those odds is a no brainer in game like this(2 defensive teams, bad pitch, weak forwards, away team being slightly better). VPS's first game was postponed in Tampere, so this will be the first game of the season for them. Last year they really struggled to create goalscoring changes and to score, and I don't think anything has really changed on that matter. They have good goalkeeper and fairly good defense, so I expect them to rely on these areas this year too. Haka opened the season with a deserved 2-1 win over TPS while both goals scored by defenders after cornerkicks. Haka doesn't boast a lots of firepower up front(at least not on paper) and I think they'll go on defensive tactics away from home. VPS will be without important forward Jussi Aalto and newcomer forward Smith. Haka will be without important dman Parviainen. A boring direct/long ball game on the bad pitch waiting for us?

  4. Re: Finland, weekend, 17-20th of april. Hi mates and thanks for nice welcome ;-) The game was televised last night and here's couple of observations - Mifk is very strong in the air. I didn't count, but I guess they won over 70% of aerial balls - Mifk is strong on 1-1-situations - Mifk is physical and bit of nasty team - Mifk's goalkeeper wasn't tested at all, but I wasn't very convinced what I saw. He seemed nervous all the time and the communication between defense and goalkeeper wasn't always working - Inter looked strong on corner kicks, as they did last year. That was practically the only similar thing with last year's Inter as they were practically hammered in this match(It could have been 6-0 as well it was 2-0) - Patrick Bantamoi was brilliant in the goal. - The new guys(Verino, Nyman, Nwankanga) looked all very good players. - It will take some time for Inter to be competive. Their team has been practising together for only 2 weeks before the season started. As for Nikkari and Grot, I think Nikkari is replaceable, when many of the Inter midfield and defense players can play at various positions. As for Grot, no news yet, but Inter is now short on forwards, as they already lost Furuholm and Correira to injuries.

  5. Re: Finland, weekend, 17-20th of april. First round is almost over and the only game worth betting is still to be played. MIFK made big changes during the offseason as there were 15 players out of the team and 10 in. They were the unluckiest team in the Veikkausliiga last year imo and I think they will be somewhere around the mid-table this year. They played very well in the Liigacup during the winter/spring. Inter won championship last year with very solid performance. They lost their key players (Corpache, Hooieveld and Chatto) during off-season and their team is still in moulding process. I don't think they are nearly as good as they were last year, but still a solid upper mid-table team. In this game MIFK is able to play with their best team, but Inter will be missing very important Timo Furuholm and Antonio Correira(+ several other but not as important players). I think there's a value at home win with odds 2.85 @Stan James, so it's worth a 5/10 bet. Under 2,25 goals is worth a bet too with 1,855 @ Pinnaclesports with stakes 7/10 as both teams are more defensive than offensive, and neither has very strong forwars, as Inter is missing Furuholm.
