  1. Re: Arsenal v Manchester City > Saturday September 13th Bollocks, you said easy CITY win and were called on that garbage. I told you not to back City as all this rubbish about Arsenal's record to strong sides is AWAY from home. None of those sides came to our place and won last season and bingo, same again today. Fair result that draw. You werent close to predicting things, City never looked like winning easy. As they never do at our pitch.

  2. Re: Manchester United v Queens Park Rangers > Sunday September 14th We'll see about United......signings look all great on paper but I'm not overly impressed.....Falcao will just have to replace one of Van Persie or Rooney in the line-up so no biggie there. Cant play all 3. Di Maria and Mata were in midfield last week, and United just cannot fit all these players into their best roles. Gonna be interesting to watch. Not forgetting they dont seem to have addressed the defence and centre-mid with anyone of the quality I thought they would. Blind is some utility player who can fill in here and there. Rojo is average. QPR look quite poor but I can see another stutter for United....but a win....Id say 2-0 in a blah performance.

  3. Re: Arsenal v Manchester City > Saturday September 13th Can't believe City are favourites for this. I have no doubt we will not lose at home to Man City. We've stuttered so far but lets not forget City were terrible and lost at home to Stoke, one of the worst away sides in PL in recent years. Same story last year when people expected City to rock to the Emirates and win easily when we were in bad form - key point was we were struggling away from home which is a different ballgame....on that day we put it up to City and drew 1-1 while never looking like losing the game. We're very tough to beat at home and I am confident we will at least draw this one. We've looked a bit disjointed so far but I can see this team getting better once the new players fully integrate and the World Cup players gain fitness again after missing pre-season. Arsenal on a + handicap looks fine to me here. Back City win at your peril, bookie will be laughing.

  4. Re: Wimbledon 2014 Dimitrov vs Leo Mayer OVER 32.5 games @ 4/5 Paddy Power Dimitrov is in form but this is not a high line really....he will need a clean 3 setter to cover it. Not usually a fan of Mayer on the grass but he served alot of aces in the first two rounds beating Seppi and Baghdatis which are solid wins that I wouldn't have expected.Dimitrov should come through but I can see Mayer making life difficult, maybe taking a set.

  5. Re: French Open 2014 Good to see some of the old crew still tipping around. Will go with a few tomorrow, all Pinnacle odds. Simon to beat Raonic @ 2.780 Raonic has taken some big scalps this season and had a good showing in Rome but i still look to oppose him once the slams start progressing. He's got a massive game but still some big holes in it...vesely choked in the first two sets in round 2 or that one could have got very tricky. I'm playing the odds here, Simon can make life tough for anyone on his day and I can see him making this into a tough battle for Raonic. Value at these odds i think.

  6. Re: Chelsea v Atlético de Madrid > Wednesday April 30th This is gonna be another dogfight and probably low scoring. Id imagine under 2.5 is terribly priced on that notion. Two cautious managers who place alot of emphasis on solidity and shape. Atletico are best suited to countering and you could see it didnt suit them in the first leg when they were trying to break Chelsea down as opposed to playing Barca where they will have the ball but you can defend and break on the counter. An early Chelsea goal would really set this tie up well. I'd love to see Atletico reach a final with the season they're having but gut feeling is that its gonna be one of those momentous home nights at Stamford Bridge for Chelsea. But I wouldnt be overly tempted to back Chelsea in 90 minutes.

  7. Re: FC Bayern München v Real Madrid > Tuesday April 29th Need to think more about this one but that price on Bayern looks a joke tbh. Bayern will dominate possession but they havent impressed me in the matches vs Arsenal, United or Madrid in all honesty. We were battering them at the Emirates until we went down to 10 men and then got a draw with a patched up team in Munich. United were in the tie until late in the second leg and we know the season they are having. Munich had a problem creating clear chance in Madrid, alot of sterile possession and only Robben trying anything different. Ribery was shackled well. Should be intriguing as Bayern will have all the ball but Madrid are the most dangerous counter-attacking side in Europe. The only question would be whether their defence can hold up and maintain discipline, not make mistakes as Bayern will be up to their antics, looking for pens. Can definitely see Madrid scoring, BTTS has to be an option here. I would have had Bayern priced close to 2.50.

  8. Re: Arsenal v Newcastle United > Monday April 28th Fancy a decent win for us here, Newcastle have downed tools and we can all but secure Top 4 with a win here. We've been pretty good at home all season, occasionally laboured but very few shocks. Best attackers are playing again bar Walcott which makes a huge difference from a bunch of playmakers feeding donkey Giroud. I'd look at First/Anytime goalscorer for Podolski and Ramsey. Podolski is in a rich vein of form and tends to do better against lesser sides where we create more chances and space is a bit more at a premium. Ramsey has also picked up exactly where he left off since returning from injury....almost instantly looks our best players once he's on the pitch, unreal transformation. Only Yaya Toure is a better centre mid in England in my view. The lad scored and assisted at Hull, could have had another goal too but missed a golden chance.

  9. Re: Everton v Manchester United > Sunday April 20th

I'm afraid I cannot agree with you guys. With 5 matches to go there is still plenty of room for Arsenal or Everton to drop points, in which case we could battle for that 4th position. On the other hand UEFA is looking into Man City's financial fair play affair which could mean that they will not play in CL next year if found guilty, in which case 5th team in the table would qualify for Champions League next season. If that's not enough for you then there is one small things about this club and I think a lot of you forgot about that.... We are called Manchester United and I tend to believe that this means a lot. Bet wise I'm going for over 2.5 goals as I think it's one of them matches that will produce goals from both teams.
:rollin United will do well to finish 6th FFS. I really think they will struggle in this one aswell tbh. And Everton will not get Top 4 either, if there's one thing Wenger gets done in recent years, it's Top 4. Can't see any betting opportunities though, odds look about spot on to me.
  10. Re: Carling Cup > September 24th West Brom have to be worth a look against us(Arsenal). Not sure if they will take it seriously but Wenger will definitely be rotating heavily. We are already down to the bare bones in attack and Wenger simply prioritises the league and CL games more. That means no Ozil, no Giroud, probably no Ramsey or Wilshere. Injuries obviously to Cazorla, Podolski, Chamberlain. Walcott also missed yesterday's win and might not be fit. Those who should play: Viviano in goal, Jenkinson, Vermaelen, Monreal, maybe Sagna or Mertesacker. Arteta needs a game after returning yesterday on the bench. Bendtner is also in the fold again. Gnabry should play. I'd say we are ripe to get knocked out here but best to wait until team news emerges tomorrow.

  11. Re: Serie A > September 16th - 22nd Napoli to beat AC Milan @ 9/5 (Betvictor) Ideal time to be playing Milan I think. Napoli are in great shape right now, Hamsik in beast form and they were very good against Dortmund in midweek. Napoli made some good moves in the Summer signing Higuain, Callejon, Albiol, Reina and they have barely missed Cavani. Milan on the other hand have had a ropey start to this season. Injuries to people like El Sharaawy, Montolivo, Kaka, Pazzini and they will rely on Balotelli and Robinho breaking down Napoli. I do think Milan will have a hard time doing that and can see Napoli scoring a couple in the San Siro. Away win for me.

  12. Re: Arsenal v Tottenham Hotspur > Sun 1st September So Arsenal DID get the win....we faded badly second half as a result of playing in Europe in midweek and being unable to rotate. Far too much was made of Spurs' signings......it sounds great all these new players but who will really propel them up a level. Reality is they will still be struggling for Top 4 as we will and Liverpool might be. Midfield devoid of creativity....Soldado is a pure box player but if service is lacking, he has no magic. Chadli looked rubbish and was more impressed with Townsend who gave Gibbs a hard time first half. Now buy some bloody players Wenger FFS.

  13. Re: Arsenal v Tottenham Hotspur > Sun 1st September Uggh, Giroud will score as many as him this season. Both have 2 in 2 league games, and Soldado's 2 were pens. 'Simple as that'......................:lol Spurs best chance to get us was last season when Bale constantly pulled them out of the fire yet we still finished above. We had a shocker at Villa but it can happen and the ref was abysmal that day too....we recovered by thumping Fener and Fulham. And we will 100% beat Spurs on Sunday aswell.

  14. Re: Arsenal v Aston Villa - Sat 17th August Not sure what relevance past opening games holds tbh. Anyway, I do think we'll win this one. We're still in the process of buying the players we need before the window closes but we have a settled first team anyway so we should be able to navigate our way through the opening few weeks of the season. We played some good stuff out in Asia, then looked lethargic at the Emirates Cup before a good win over Man City yesterday. It was only a friendly but both sides used all their available players. Villa on the other hand have bought a few players but mostly youngsters and I do think it will be another hard year for Villa. Luckily for them Benteke has stayed on and scored a few in pre-season so he will be the obvious danger. Our side will be fairly predictable bar one or two players I'd say. Szczesny Sagna, Mertesacker, Koscielny, Gibbs Arteta, Ramsey, Wilshere Walcott, Giroud, Cazorla Only doubts there for me would be Cazorla who joined pre-season late and didn't look as fit as the rest yesterday as a sub. And Wilshere. The likes of Podolski, Chamberlain or Rosicky are candidates to fill in if either of those doesnt start.

  15. Re: Antepost > Premier League 2013/14 > Winner City have the best squad in the country and IMO should win the title as they now have a manager who won't be fighting with numerous players(you would expect at least). Their front 4 has serious depth and quality. ---------------------------- Negredo/Dzeko -- Aguero/Jovetic-------- Silva----------------Navas/Nasri ------------------- Yaya - Fernandinho I expected Chelsea to spend more as thats how Mourinho operates...spend spend spend. But I cant see them winning the title with the current strikers and centre-mids are not as dominant as the past. Mourinho will need to get the defence going again too.

  16. Re: Wimbledon 2013

Spot on - unlike your 'Southampton are obviously going to be relegated' vom!! Ha ha ;) Incredibly pleased for AM but that was never the 'match of his life' as Sue Barker immediately described it and it was possibly on of NDs worst of recent times. AM too far behind the baseline too often and both made countless unforced errors compared to their usual high standard. Result all that matters but no point in not seeing what actually happened. Well done to all the winners.
Haha, yeah I thought Southampton were dead and buried at one stage! But ye got some big wins to pull away from the pack.
