2 of the outsiders in this race interest me at a price. Moon Over Mobay was a good 4th at first try at this trip at Kempton when staying on from an unpromising position on the unfavoured inside. Drops a 1lb for that effort and has cheekpieces on for the first time looks the sort to build on that effort.
The other that could out run his price is Mamoo who tries this trip for the first time having run a promising race over1m4f around here when staying on and looking badly in need of further.

Artful Rogue appears to have found his feet the last twice over this CD backing up his previous promising run. Ran on nicely last time out winning with something to spare a 6lb rise looks very lenient more progression looks likely. Although drawn wide he appeared to appreciate getting a bit of cover to begin with and swinging off the homebend.

Goodbye Inheritence was a good 2nd over 1m2f around here after being off the track for nearly 13months. Steps up in trip which is likely to suit given the way he finished the race. He also raced quite keenly last time out and has been known to front run before, there is no pace angle in this race therefore he could get a soft lead if they decide to take that option and it paid to race prominently here yesterday.

Typical classified event at this time of year full of horses who struggle to win. Go George Go is atleast unexposed unlike the remainder of this field, showed very little in maidens on turf but took the switch to the AW and handicaps in good style. Coming off the pace to win over CDin race where the front 2 came from off the pace. Although at this level its hard to predict what these sort of animals will do but you usually get plenty of pace as often trainers try different tactics. He should have a lot more to come compared to the rest of this field.

This race doesn’t have a lot of depth and looks quite an easy task for Alfredo to quickly get back to winning ways. He won a bumper on his first start before going the wrong way after that until making handicap debut around here over CD, followed that up off revised mark of 59 at Wolves in emphatic style by 12lengths. Handicapper took no chances after that but was a good second in much better race at Newmarket last time out off 72, 1lb higher today but still looks hugely progressive with more to come especially back on the AW.

Wouldnt normally bet in sellers but I am part of the club that owns Attain and he is too bigger price in this field. He perhaps isn’t the best in at the weights on official ratings however he has a good record around here have won 4 times over CD. Can be expected to build on his latest run after a lengthy break. Aaron Jones has won on him aswell and he claims a handy 3lb.

Desert Strike did offer some hope for a revival on his penultimate start and he followed through with that promise with a solid win last time out over CD. He beat another inform consistent horse that day in Burauq. He had dropped a long way in the weights and was 9lb below his last winning mark and a 6lb penalty still makes him look very well treated especially considering he often holds his form well over the winter.

Yourartisonfire was a decent horse in his younger days and is the most over raced 6 yr old. Lisa Williamson isn’t known for getting many winners but she can train a winner none the less. He has had 2 runs for her and latest 4th at 50/1 was a promising run over 7f at Chelmsford finishing well in a race that wasn’t run to suit hold up sorts also 7f is too short for him. He becomes of real interest around here a course which often suits a hold up sort and steps up back to a mile. He has won off marks in the high 80’s and at his best 91 racing off just 78 now.

For a mile handicap around here there appears to be a lot of pace. That could suit Testa Rossa who likes to sit just off the pace setters and finish well. He was a respectable 3rd last time out over CD having won his previous 2 starts over CD. Useful apprentice now takes off the 3lb rise for the last win which is what attracts me along with the fact this course suits his style.

Top Diktat must have a solid chance in this race, he often runs a good race around here. Better than the result on latest start around here over slightly further in race not run to suit when front runners dominated. There is no shortage of pace in this field with 3 out and out front runners and several other prominent racers. He is drawn well on the inside and also is dangerously well handicapped on his best form 4lb below his last winning mark and 16lb below his highest winning mark. Yard remain in good form currently hard to discount at a reasonable price.

Interesting listed event with a couple of interesting runners but for me Sovereign Debt is in the form of his life currently and not only that he has a decent record on the AW with 7 runs 1 win and 5 placed efforts. He won a decent 7f listed event at Leopardstown last time out in really good style pulling 2 lengths clear behind a field well spaced out. Well drawn against the rail in stall 1 and just as effective over a mile.

Picansort might be worth chancing as he looks a big price in this wide open affair. Not at his best the last couple of runs but is a much better horse on the AW, might be better over 5f but is effective over 6f. His last win around here was a really good win by nearly 4 lengths in March this year off a mark of 63 in a class 5 event, comes back to the AW in a class 6 event and off a mark of 65 a repeat of that effort will put him right into the mix with the visor back on today from a good draw.
Has a good record in class 6 events 2 wins and 7 placed efforts from 19 runs.

Jan De Heem might be worth chancing in this field, he has been running respectably recently and has been finishing his races well. He looks well worth a step up in trip and although has stamina to prove his style suggest he could get it. Also added bonus of Josephine Gordon possibly having her last ride in an apprentice race and she has been riding with such confidence lately.

Kevin Ryan has got his string in fine form at present and he runs Brilliant Vanguard in this race and he has ran well last 2 starts at Kempton penultimate start over 7f, doing best of those held up. Latest effort can be excused returned to 6f clearly too sharp but still a good effort, step up back to 7f a plus. Still fairly relatively raced and could have more yet to offer.

I can help but be drawn to Medicean Man regular in Dubai during the winter. Has been running very well on turf throughout the summer in listed affairs, he is a much better horse on the artificial surfaces these days. Latest run at Dundalk looks strong form for the time of year especially considering the race wasn’t run to suit. He likes to come off a strong pace which was not present that day but still finished well that was over 5f so a step up to 6f should suit, has plenty of form over 6f too and also this race should be run stronger. He just looks a little overpriced despite the wide draw which might not be ideal however given his run style might not be a major issue for all the 6f start is difficult to get in from.

Another each way selection who I backed a couple weeks ago when he followed home Lord Of The Land who is currently favourite for the Listed event previous to this one the Golden Rose. That was him step back up on recent efforts on turf and I did feel he would he has a much better profile on the AW and he looks sure to go well again today and E/W price. Up 2lb for that effort and steps upto a mile today however has form at this trip and has won off a lb higher mark than todays. Stable continue in great form and he just cant be ignored against a favourite that looks far too skinny having several questions to answer after his run at Doncaster and on AW debut.

Zed Candy Girl is another regular on the AW throughout the winter and is with the inform Loughnane yard. She has been freshened up with a summer break and she can go well fresh. Kirby on board is a plus. She also looks well handicapped at present 6lb below her best winning mark. Usually runs her race here with 3 wins and 3 placed efforts from 25 runs and is always best suited to a well run race and should get that with a couple likely to race prominently including Russian Ranger and Kubeba.

Surprised to see Haaf A Sixpence such a big price. He has a clear favourites chance based on his latest run at Chelmsford over 7f 2nd behind an inform sort. That was his 2nd run after a year off the track so is sure to build on that further. Has won off higher marks in the past in an on off career clearly not easy to keep sound. 1lb ahead of the handicapper currently and could get an easy time up front in this field.

Gung Ho Jack might be worth a chance in this field, well drawn in stall 1. He ran well last time out over 6f at Chelmsford in a race not run suit with the front 2 throughout finishing 1st and 2nd, he did best of those held up. That was also his first run for nearly 2 months so sure to strip fitter. There are a lot of front runners in this race including Colourbearer, Stormflower, Flowing Clarets and Kindly which could set this up for a finisher in the shape of Gung Ho Jack.

Class 7 event which is hardly the race of the century with all of these finding winning tough. Captain Scooby could be the best of the bad bunch, he was a narrow winner at Chelmsford 3 starts back under todays jockey Connor Beasley. Since ran on turf last 2 starts off higher turf mark and they were tough asks however his latest run suggest he remains in form finishing well enough through beaten horses. Does have form over this CD off much higher marks in his younger days, only slight concern is the lack of front runners however these sort of races often sort themselves out at this grade. Only 1lb higher for that win at Chelmsford and the front 2 did pull clear of the remainder.

Another Lincolnday might be worth another chance after a good effort last time out when catching the eye travelling well in midfield throughout race which suited hold up sorts. He got stuck behind a wall of horses at a vital point as the winner was starting to make headway from the rear, when finally got in the clear inside the final furlong he finished really well.
Steps back up in trip having won in the summer over 2m1f which has to be a positive move, if the gaps appear better today should go well at what looks a huge price.

Hard to look past The Resdev Way who put a career best effort last time out over this CD off a 9lb lower mark, winning with some ease. Whozthecat is worth a look in this sort of field, well suited to the straight 6f here. Loves to bowl out in front and well drawn to do that from stall 1 should mean he gets the ideal middle run down this straight. He isn’t the only front runner but he has the visor placed back on and only has one way of running so I am confident he will get to the front. Dangerously well handicapped on his best form having previously won off marks in the 90’s now running off 66. Not had much AW racing but does have form on polytrack.

Several good old stalwarts for the AW season in this handicap, Forceful Appeal is sure to win a handicap at some point this winter and is on a god mark but needs to show a bit of spark currently.
Alfred Hutchinson might be worth taking a risk on at a price has largely struggled for form since joining O’Meara however there was better sign 3 starts back when running back on the polytrack, further 5lb lower today and now 2lb below last CD win. Adam Kirby a strong booking and yard having a good spell with their runners on the AW.

Another big priced selection and not one to go overboard about however Take Two is likely to find a prize at some point this winter. He proved he is a good horse on the AW surface with placed efforts back in 2015 off a mark of 75, clearly got injured on next start over hurdles when winning in March 2015 not seen until the start of this month when fluffing the start and never getting into the race. However drops a further 3lb and now runs off 70, not stood much racing had some long breaks at times suggest he is fragile but may still have more to offer. Star Links has rejoined his old yard who did really well with him, he went off the boil for Kirk but they did manage to get a win out of him dropped to a mark of 48. Has won off marks in the mid 80’s at his best clearly not the force of old but a good run at Dundalk after a lengthy break latest when 5th off 52. Sure to strip fitter for that and this is the first time his Irish trainer has taken a horse to Chelmsford. Its a long journey to make for a selling handicap which in itself is a class drop so it is worth taking note of especially stepping back up in trip.

Not totally convinced by the surface currently it would appear from Monday you need to be fairly near the pace to be winning with a few looking unlucky when trying to make up ground from the back.
Zarliman was in good form when last seen on the flat in this country winning over this CD off 51, not in the same form over hurdles since but has been a fair second over in Les Landes before another disappointing effort back over hurdles. Clearly his heart is in flat racing these days, likes to race prominently and only 5lb higher and change around of headgear aswell. Also has a nice draw in stall 1 and everything looks poised for a big run in a poor looking race.

Interesting handicap with a few improving and unexposed sorts in this handicap, theres no obvious front runner in this field which would be a concern.
Sbraase is looking exposed and high enough in the weights currently and is easily passed over on recent runs. Same has to be said for London Citizen. Sarsted has been soundly beaten off this sort of mark and needs to step up.
Ladurelli looks to need a strong gallop even stepping up in trip today and is unlikely to get that today which has to be a worry despite he is likely to appreciate this return to the AW and has been running respectably recently.
Angrywhitepyjamas is completely unexposed with just the 2 runs, winning over the extended mile at Wolves on last run. Looks likely to be suited by the step up in trip. Opening mark of 77 may underestimate him given the 3rd has since won a handicap off 74 at Newmarket.
West Coast Flyer won his maiden on the AW at Wolves on 2nd start in February, didn’t show much on handicap debut at Doncaster but bounce right back on the AW at Newcastle. Completely dismiss latest run off revised mark on soft ground and is likely to bounce right back on the AW, yard currently going well and Atzeni is strong booking on this improving sort.

A lot of these are trying this trip for the first time and will have stamina to prove.
County Wexford should get a soft lead in this race as the only front runner in the race but has shown little of late to suggest he is capable of winning currently and also trying this trip for the first time.
Yasir generally struggles in handicap company these days and hasn’t gone this far on the flat before but clearly in good heart currently.
Atalanta Bay looked a progressive sort in 2014 but off until last time out last month when running a flat race on soft ground on turf. Likely to strip fitter for that and appreciate this return to the AW however well being clearly taken on trust given latest run also another trying this trip for first time.
Thomas Blossom has no concerns for this trip given he was 2nd over CD latest, visor reapplied today has a sound chance.
King Olav ran a respectable race last time out when 3rd behind Thomas Blossom, gets a 1lb turnaround in a race which was not run to suit him latest. He has now dropped to 2lb below last CD win and is clearly in good heart if getting a better run around this time just behind the leader. Stamina no issue and at the prices looks the values.

This might not take much winning with most of these finding winning extremely hard most notably Ryan Style who is well handicapped but has not won for years, better effort latest but still concerns.
The Burnham Mare won 3 on the bounce last October and has now dropped to 2lb below her last win however they were all over 5f, she has shown next to nothing this year in 3 starts over 6f and cannot be backed currently despite the return to 5f.
Culloden might be worth taking a chance on after a disappointing effort at Newcastle latest. Possibly went too hard alone in the centre of the course, also can be excused for racing over the straight 5f and could well appreciate this return to a bend, 5lb higher today but possibly still progressing and in a race which might not take much winning he is worth a chance.

Sonnythenavigator was well backed when winning a seller at Lingfield in really good style, it was a very eye catching run given he wasnt favoured by the weights that day. The penny really seems to have dropped now when winning last time out over this CD on first try over this trip. He did that in really good style given his poor start and a 6lb penalty is likely to have little effect. Remains unexposed and on an upward curve, probably last chance to race in a class 6 race.

Oakley Girls is clearly progressive on this surface winning over the extended mile at Wolves last time out in eye catching fashion pulling 6 lengths clear of a fairly modest bunch for the grade, 6lb penalty here today but 3lb well in and should go well.
Pactolus was dropped in deep last time out over this CD in a much stronger looking race, he raced 8lb out of the handicap but finished within 2lengths of an impressive winner, had previously been in good form winning over CD. La Estrella has to be respected back around here on the back of lesser efforts on tapeta and may need a drop back into seller and claimers over the winter to get his record win.
Serenity Now has been in good form recently over hurdles, he also goes well around here but does return here 6lb above last winning mark but sure to go well.
Sinakar is lightly raced 2 good efforts recently look good recent form in this grade but yet to try this surface which is always a worry.
Northside Prince was beaten 1/2length by Frosty Berry last time out over 2f shorter around here, he has a 3lb turnaround in the weights and is the obvious front runner in this. He is well handicapped on his very best form but he has become very unreliable these days.
Frosty Berry has taken a drift in the market today as he did do dramatically last time out when falling out of the stalls and being outpacedat the start. She faced the kickback really well and stormed down the homestraight to win a tad cosily, obviously 6lb higher today makes things tougher but the 2f step up in trip is no problem and looked better and better the further they went last time out if in the same form could prove hard to beat. Also not drawn in the deathbox around here today like last time out.
