  1. Re: England > Weekend > League 2 > 30-31 December Hereford backed down from 9/4 to 6/5. £484,000 matched on Betfair compared to £70,000 on game at Cheltenham. Needs to watched carefully!!!
  2. Re: Heads-up on Suspicious runner Dingaan The owner hasn't had a winner since 2008. 61 losers in last 3 years. The trainer hasn't had a winner since Jan 2011. 1-91 this year The jockey hasn't won a race in past 2 years The horse is drawn 9 The horse is also entered at Wolverhampton on 19th. Having said that the stable has been in such poor form throughout last winter and this summer that all horses are very well handicapped. One day a few will go in although they may have to go to new yards first.
  3. Re: Jamie Spencer My view is that Jamie Spencer is an excellant jockey. Good judge of pace, very strong and gets horses to relax. Maybe the finishing position of most of his horses is more or less where he and his connections expect them to be. Whether the finishing position is where I and students of form expect it be is another matter
  4. Re: UEFA Europa League » Dec 17 EVERTON I am not one for debating my picks and I am certainly not in the habit of begging anyone to follow me. In fact, quite the opposite. You cannot make money in this game by being one of the sheep. I am an Everton supporter. I opposed my team in a pre season friendly and my winnings paid for my season ticket. I have layed them tonight and have seperate bets on Bate to win at 5/1. I may not succeed because I cannot gauge the attitude of Bate but I believe that I made a wager that represents huge value. What I can say is that it looks like a game of boys against men. Few of the Everton boys are anywhere ready for the Premiership. Our captain tonight is Hibbert, an experienced first team player. He is the weak link though. Ask Sir Alex Ferguson or Stephen Gerard. They always target him and succeed. Osman is another seasoned pro. Just returned from injury. A broken foot and just a few days ago we were told that he wouldn't be ready for a couple of weeks. Sounds like a game to help with his fitness tonight? Rodwell will be a star in the future and an England international for sure. Good enough for the first team already even at his age Yakubu was first choice forward a year ago. He suffered a serious injury and is still regaining his fitness. Almost there. Coleman. Full of promise but very inexperienced. Forshaw (18)and Bidwell (16). Not even considered to be part of first team squad and making their debuts. They are babies and not ready for first team football. Duffy (17) has often been on bench out of neccesity but Moyes was not willing to put him in to a Premiership game even when we were desperately short of defenders. He is therefore not ready either. Baxter (17) another with promise but still inexperienced and only ready for cameo substitute appearances. Agard (20) again not ready for the big time. Difficult to see how you could back Everton with confidence in my opinion. Just wanted to give some detail as others seem to want to put hard earned money on us just because we are a Premiership team. Good luck
  5. Re: UEFA Europa League » Dec 17 As an Everton season ticket holder for over 40 years I was about to come on and post the same information I would just add that Osman has only just returned to training this week after sustaining a broken foot. Hibbert is shit, the Yak may or may not be interested so that leaves us with Rodwell and a load of kids
  6. Re: Champions League » Sep 29/30 Not taking anything away from the demolition job that Liverpool have performed in recent weeks against various teams but I cannot help but think that their price of Evens against Fiorentina is an overreaction. Lets keep things in perspective. The five teams that Liverpool have beaten all languish in the bottom half of the Premier table and two of them are firmly in the relegation zone. It is not so long ago that Liverpool huffed and puffed to a modest home win against the Hungerians and they were also firmly put in their place by Villa and Spurs. So why are Fiorentina insulted with such quotes. They are unbeaten at home where they have yet to concede a goal. A loss to Lyon in round 1 was no disgrace. Sure Muttu is out of form and Gillardino is suspended but we are talking about a team from Serie A with form figures of 4-1-1. Liverpool will be without Mascherano and Benayoun which may not weaken the starting X1 so much but the bench will be be looking rather weak. I accept that an away win is very possible but I will be happy to lay them for a reasonable amount at that price. Lay Liverpool @ Evens
  7. I read in the Birmingham Mail that Villa will be keeoing 9 of the big guns at home on Thursday. It seems that this competition will be sacrificed so that the CL quest can continue;
