  1. I have one bet i like this weekend in the Scottish Leagues not much of a write-up Falkirk at home to Alloa slightly odds on Decent home form of late unbeaten in 5, have the gipsies on Alloa this season 7 points out of 9 so far. Alloa are a league 1 side, this matchup will reinforce this. Take Falkirk at 1.86
  2. Forfar athletic are a massive price at home to Arbroath, this game is far closer than the books would make you think. A few facts Forfars recent home form is the best in the division of late 7 league wins in a row. This is a local derby, 15miles separate the two teams, Arbroath have taken their foot off the gas recently with only 1 win in their last 5 games. Forfar will play Arbroath hard today By no means a certain win, 3.70 with Ladbrokes is too big a price for me to ignore Also 4 other bets i really like are Motherwell, Dundee Utd, Dumbarton and Ross County thanks
  3. a few bets I like in the Scottish program this weekend. A safe bet I think is Motherwell at home to Hamilton at odds 1.75 Motherwell's well documented 6 game win streak came to an abrupt halt at the hands of Celtic they then drew away to Killie at rugby park too tuff fixtures. This game should see Motherwell kick back into action at home in the Lanarkshire derby v Hamilton. the fixtures between the two are an even split this season with a win apiece however after watching both teams play recently my gut tells me that Motherwell will out muscle Accies today. Take Motherwell to win at 1.75 The other safe bet for me is Ross County at home to Morton. Morton beat Ross County the first fixture between the two sides in Greenock, County subsequently pumped them 5-0 in the return fixture. Morton then beat County at home in a bad-tempered game where county were reduced to 10 men in the final moments. Raith have won their last 4 fixtures at home Morton have lost their last 3 away fixtures, use that with the info that County's talisman striker Billy Mackay is hitting form with 5 goals in his last 4 games and you have a grudge match that County should nail. Take County at shorter odds of 1,53 Strong lean for value here Dumbarton away at Montrose at odds 2.2 Where has the Dumbarton from early season gone, in recent games they have been playing like promotion contenders. It took at last minute equaliser from Rovers to deny Dumbarton the win two games ago, then Dumbarton then beat league leaders Arbroath 2-0, it was 2-0 going on 5/6, that's 4 points out of 6 against two of the top teams in the league, don't ignore the fact that they had taken 8 points out of a possible 12 in the 4 games immediately prior to these two tough games. So Dumbarton who have diced with the relegation spots for 2/3s of the season are finding a nice bit of form at the right time and a wee unbeaten run of 6 games. Montrose are fairly solid at home but their form of late has been a bit hit and miss so at a fair price I expect the Dumbarton juggernaut to keep on rolling lol and win the bet today. Take the Sons at odds around 2.2
  4. Hi all i try and not post unless i have a bet i really like, but this is just my view so make your own choices. First pick is Partick Thistle away to Alloa in Scottish Championship. There are signs that the jags are slowly turning the corner, and not before long, some solid form now in the championship, unbeaten in their last 4 games and coming off a two game win streak. This is not bottom of the table form and the away trip to perennial strugglers Alloa is welcome who are on a 3 game losing streak. (alloa are one of those limbo clubs, too good for SFL1 too bad for SFL championship so they always promote and relegate in subsequent seasons) This is a relegation season for Alloa . The board have backed the jags manager by allowing him to sign old compatriot Scott Mcdonald. His experience is very valuable at this level and i believe he will score for fun in the Championship. Jags are a team to certainly a team to follow over the next few games. Take the Jags at 1.83 Second Pick is Raith at home to Arbroath. Kirkaldy is not a place to go if your Form is dipping. Dont laugh a friend of a friend who knows someone from within Arbroath FC said the team was not playing well atm so should not back This was against Forfar two games back, i m kicking myself as i did not follow and guess what Arbroath got pumped by 10 men 2-0. This was followed up with losing another slender lead at home to bad travellers Stranraer to draw 1-1. Is this a confidence wobble... i think away to tough opponents Raith who are in second spot is not a spot i want to be in atm Take Raith at 2.37
  5. For those looking for a fairly solid treble...I have been researching recent form and head to heads and for me you cant really look far beyond Arbroath, Ross County, and Peterhead this weekend. They have in recent times the so called gypsies on their respective opponents today. Treble pays 3.35-1 at Ladbrokes For those that are even more adventurous you can add East Fife, Airdrie, Hearts and Edinburgh to the mix in any combo. Obviously i'm not an expert and opinions are like arseholes .....
  6. I'm not disagreeing with the post above as Saints have probably the best away form in the league at present and are difficult to break down. Just putting a different slant on it Tynecastle in recent games has been a tough venue for them, the the last 6 games read 4 losses 2 draws. I expect a reaction from Hearts today, Levein i cant stand but i have a gut feeling Hearts wont lose this one, i'm going to back the home side.
  7. I think West Brom at Home to Huddersfield is a solid pick today. This is just the kind of Game the baggies need on the horizon after the recent publicised scandal of the jolly to spain. Looking at stats, in 13 EPL away games Huddersfiled have conceded 27 goals, thats averaging at 2 goals a game. the last 4 games away in the EPL they have conceded 8 and scored 1. Only Newcastle out of the bottom ten sides have conceded more (32) in this same period. They have also only scored 8 goals over these 13 away games. 4 coming in one freak game away to watford. so thats 4 goals in 12 away games. Huddersfield do not like playing away from home and are poor travellers. On the other hand West Brom have played most teams tight at home this season. Their only major defeat came at the hands of Chelsea 0-4 but all other games have been tight affairs with the baggies losing 4 of these 13 games by the odd goal. They have drawn 7 and won 2 but the crucial fact is that West Brom do tend to score at home. I think this game is ideal for Pardew to galvanise the troops. West Brom do not tend play badly at home, yes they lost two quickly in succession to bogey side Southampton (lost last 4 against them) but i think Huddersfiled will end up back in the championship at the end of the season and these are three points that the Baggies will gladly grab today. Bets to put on the shortlist for this game West Brom to Win West Brom to win and under 2.5 West Brom to win BTS no Under 2.5 goals West Brom to Nil BTS NO
  8. Seen the Celtic team and Rodgers at last has dumped McGregor onto the bench and brought Koussi in, who is a player.. Brown now doesnt have to do the job of two players in the middle. Hearts pressed and bullied Celtic in that 4-0 drubbing at tyncastle but even playing poorly Celtic missed a few sitters. Rodgers has recognised Levein sets up to win games dirty, and keep it tight. This Celtic side will not be booted off the park tonight. 3-5-2 with Sinclair and McGregor dropped. Revenge factor coupled with full house and the capture of a real talent in Musonda who willl come off the bench. This Celtic team have been waiting for this game, i think Hearts are in for a long night. Celtic -1 is a strong bet IMO.
  9. I'm liking Newcastle at home today. They have gone toe to toe with most teams lately and lost by the odd goal etc Arsenal, Everton, Man City etc got a good win against a resurgent Hammers team under Moyes. Benitez has tightened things up since earlier debacles against Watford etcI think this Brighton team are punching above their weight and lack the overall quality to stay in the division, i believe they will slump and end up relegated personally. This is a good game for Newcastle to grab a win and i'm all over the 2.1 currently available for the HW
  10. This is tricky this isn’t the hearts from earlier in the season. Hibs have a good midfield yes but Hibs have been misfiring recently. Hearts are bang on form and I disagree regarding the Celtic game, Levein had the groundsmen watering the pitch for hours prior to the Celtic match then his players got in about the Celtic team who combined with a slight dip in form could not string two passes together. Hearts tonight back at tyncastle will make Hibs drop the passing game due to a saturated pitch and will utilise lafferty to good effect. I think too many factors point to a home win tonight.. Tyncastle, shit pitch and revenge.. Hearts win a close one
  11. Good bet for me is Hull to beat Brentford. Adkins is a proven Championship manager and i feel Hull are in a false position. I think Adkins will galvanise Hull and get the result today. Brentford have struggled away to hull in recent fixtures, that stat with the usual "first game under a new manager" makes this 3.1 for a home win a must bet for me.
  12. great shout on chester i followed, also pool were unlucky as they dominated their game for long stretches, top tipping at good odds thanks
  13. gone with a solid treble and large lottery ticket Hibs, Blackburn, and Boro pays for me 3.36/1 Hibs have a quality squad and have outplayed most of their opponents, cut out wee lapses at the back and they could easily finish 2nd this yr. Motherwell are a stuffy team that lacks any real quality, they have a decent front man in moult but the rest of the team is bang average, hibs possession football will limit his opportunities today, routine win for the hibees imo and 1/2 is value for accums. Blackburn after a shaky start adapting to lower level football have flcked the switch and now know whats required, they have a squad thats too good for this level and it has shown easily in their last few matches, now they have got used to their surrounding i expect them to go on a long run and get promoted outright. Boro good price at home to an inconsistent QPR side that ship goals. QPR ropey away form, defensive sieve + Boro mean defence, quality squad and home side status = Boro win for me. my lottery ticket is fulham, exeter, wigan, aberdeen, celtic, hibs, raith, ayr, clyde, blackburn abd boro pays 157-1 all taken from form, squad status and tips off here good luck
  14. Celtic season ticket holderI saw an article pre game and it said that PSG spent £500m on their team and Celtic £10m, make no bones about it PSG have built a team to win the Champions League. Celtic are happy to eat at the big boys table. This Celtic team are a good footballing side under Rodgers and have come along way along with squad changes from losing to lincoln red imps with an unfit team last year, in waht was their second game in their preseason lThe bottom line is Celtic can score against any team at home and have done fairly consistently in Europe against the top teams.PSG are simply the better team here, you pay for what you get and i think their quality will prevail. Celtic only have one first team CB avail btw and will have to reshuffle their back line.Celtic don't not get thrashed at their own ground in competitive matches often so i think the following bets are decent valuePSG BTS YES 2.60PSG exact score 2-1 9.5PSG exact score 3-1 10
  15. that Zohore for Cardiff is an absolute tank, going to terrorise defences this season, outstanding today again.
