  1. My other thought is that Dundee Utd should have too much for Livingston on Sunday and i think the price is too big for the home side and there is value to be had. Dundee Utd have bought well this summer. The signing of Levitt from Man Utd is an outstanding piece of business, this kid is the real deal and probably is the best midfielder in the SPL outside the old firm. The signing of McGrath from wigan, veteran striker Fletcher and winger Middleton from Rangers are all very good signings. Trust me when i say this, Tannadice could be a trap for a lot of teams this season and i include Celtic in this. I suggested that the Arabs could be a long shot to beat AZ in midweek at 15/2, they played well and secured the 1-0 win. Watch the goal from Middleton btw, its a cracker. Livingston are the perennial hot and cold team and can cause an upset on any given day, however the loss of winger Alan Forrest to Hearts is a big loss for them. Look to the Arabs to ride on the wave of confidence of beating AZ and dispatch of Livingston. Back Dundee Utd to win.
  2. All over Aberdeen to beat St Mirren this weekend, price just shy of evens is a good price. Dons lost away to my team, but myself and the boys who sit around me were impressed with dons. They on the whole played ok against Celtic albeit set up to defend, they looked fairly dangerous on counter and missed a 100% chance in front of goal when Jonny Hayes had time to control the ball and pick his spot. He put it the wrong side of the post. It was easily the best chance of the match. They have have brought in some new players which have improved the team. St Mirren on the other hand are my tip to be relegated they were terrible when losing their home season opener against a Motherwell team who are beret of confidence having being embarrassed by Sligo Rover in their European fixtures. I think there will be a clear power shift this season with a lot of SPL teams like Aberdeen, Dundee Utd, Hibs, Hearts being fairly astute in the transfer market. I think we will see the SPL align as such. St Mirren and St Johnstone in my view will battling out the last two spots. Dons will have pencilled this game to get their season started. This is their home season opener against a poor team, i expect them to win easily.
  3. I think Sheffield Utd and Burnley are a fairly safe double this weekend. Expect Blades to bounce back from losing away to Watford and Burnley impressed away to Huddersfield and should have too much for Luton at home. Double pays just a shade over 2-1
  4. Dundee Utd a massive 15/2 with hills I put AZ around the same quality of Celtic, Dundee Utd would never be 15/2 at home to Celtic so for me its value AZ should win how ever UTD at Tannadice can make life difficult and a home win is not a miracle scenario On that basis alone a wee cheeky tenner on 15/2. I also think both teams to score at over evens is not bad either
  5. I attended both preseason friendlies Celtic played at home to Blackburn and Norwich, these games were within a week of each other. When we played Norwich last weekend both sides had an established preseason, Norwich i would suggest started with a 70% full strength team as they had a second game the very next day v Hibs. To say i was disappointed with Norwich was an understatement, this was a good physical friendly and Norwich offered almost 0 going forward, they got beat 2-0, I'm not exaggerating when i say it could have been a lot more. Norwich also got beat by Hibs the next day (Hibs are going through a transition atm and are struggling to find their feet). i would be reluctant to bet on Norwich until i see how they perform in their first few matches. Yes they were that bad. In comparison Blackburn surprised me, a very physical side, large mobile target man up front, Diaz was good also. Celtic dominated early game but Blackburn defended pretty well i thought and had a decent goal threat on counter as provided with the final 2-2 score. I Know preseason is preseason however out of the two championship sides Blackburn looked better for me as a team in general, so based on that and no other sensible reasoning apart from first weekend guessing i think Blackburn are a good tip to win their first game today at home to QPR at odds just over evens 6/5
  6. Hibs have had the better of Utd this season in general with a couple of wins and draws, however there is tremendous value in taking the massive price on Utd. Utd's change to a 433 brings them into the game as a form team and imo Gogic being suspended for hibs in the middle of the park is a loss to them. I'm not saying Hibs wont win however this game is tighter than the odds suggest and the 4.75 currently on offer is real value. Im putting a bet on dundee utd to win with a cover bet of over 2.5 goals
  7. Hi all Couple of matches have caught my eye this week and after a good start to season predicting, i kind of fell off the rails last week, but hey these are just the ideas of an internet bampot so tail at your own risk My nap for this week is the Jags at home to QOS. Ian McCall answered thistles calling two games ago when they sacked Caldwell, this raised eyebrows as he was doing a sterling job at Ayr. McCall is a thistle legend. His impact has been immediate in his first league game last week as they navigated what on paper was a gimmie for Caley thistle up North. A resounding 3-1 victory showed what everyone suspected, that this Thistle team has the quality to compete. This game at home to struggling QOS is a perfect homecoming opportunity for McCall to cement a solid return to his old club in his first game in front of a home support. He will have Jags up for this... take a skinny 1.75 for thistle to do the business..... which leads on to my leans for Ayr to beat Caley at home..... a generous 23/20 for high flying Ayr to beat ICT at home. Many thought Ayr would struggle after losing talisman striker Shankland to dundee Utd, the reality is that Alan Forest has stepped up to the plate and is banging the goals in. Caley experienced devastating news in midweek with their Chairman resigning and withdrawing all his financial support. Admin looms for Caley unless funds can be secured and there is feeling of desperation around the place. Confidence was sapped with a hammering by Thistle at home. Caley are a resolute team but this game against highflying Ayr who have won 5 on the bounce is happening at the wrong time for them and i think there is value to be had on Ayr here. I have leans also on Hearts 11/8 who are high value to beat a Killie side whose away form is not solid this season and i believe that Hearts are on a upswing and also Motherwell 19/20 whose pace on the flanks should have too much for a St Mirren side who are stuffy to play against but struggle to score goals. As always good luck ?
  8. Hi there late shout as per, two fixtures that hold my attention this week both come in the SPL. Hamilton are an average side and look to gain an advantage on a plastic pitch at home, but what if a team that also plays their home games on a plastic pitch come calling, Livingston on paper have a better team and with Hamilton's main hold up man Oakley banned for this game, i think Hamilton will struggle to beat a physical Livingston side, good game for LIvingston to get back to winning ways and i think the 5/4 for the away win is good value. Have Hearts turned the corner, they certainly have shown great resilience their last two games against rivals hibs and against Aberdeen. This is the kind of game that Hearts should be winning and with the feel good factor surrounding the gorgie men the last week they should have too much for St Mirren take Hearts at 8/5. Good luck
  9. Great picks like i said I had 100 on steeler +6 turned to be the weakest pick from what i thought was my nap, but still won i had 30 on agoholar anytime i had 10 on panthers steelers giants rams they all came in i had 5 on panthers dolphins jets steelers rams giants that only failed due to a garbage time td by cowboys. overall thanks to your picks i killed it so thanks again (y)
  10. i placed singles on your 4 selections and parlayed the 4, just waiting on the rams but even if they don't come in excellent calls im 3/3 atm based on your picks
  11. Murderwell, is your mother well, Motherwell... who would've thought that the steelmen would be 3rd in the table. Having already dispatched the two Edinburgh giants easily already this season their solitary loss was at home to Celtic which is no disgrace in itself. Well play an expansive game under Robinson and are blessed with a lot of pace middle to front and this is causing teams all kinds of problems. Winger/Striker seedorf already looks like he could be one of the finds of the season and with a bucket load of goals coming from Hylton and Donnelly in midfield, well have goals in this team. They play Ross county who as a promoted side are playing as such. Ross huffed and puffed to a home win over St Mirren, i watched the game and Ross county are nothing special and will be there or thereabouts come the relegation spaces in May. This is as routine as a home win for Mother well as you can get and im all over the 1.8. Inverness Caley have slowly started to get their shit together after a opening day gubbing at tannadice they have gone about business in a good manner they are a team on the up and should have too much for bad travelers QOS today . Back Caley at 1.7 Dundee Utd will be too good for Arbroath at tannadice, classic bounce back game for the title favourites after shitting the bed away to Ayr last week. Back Utd at 1.44 My bets Motherwell 1.8 Caley 1.7 Utd 1.44 All singles and treble parlay at 4.42 fun bet Jack Aitchison to score a hatrick 80-1
  12. As i thought Aitchison came off the bench to score on his debut for FGR last week, it was the only goal in the game, he also hit the post. Going by FGR fans he was a class above when he came on. I have watched his development at Celtic, clever young player. i think he will score for fun in league 2 this season. I see he has been given a start at home to colchester, i have had a cheeky wee nibble at 6-1 first goal scorer.
  13. Hi folks i have an interest in two games in the Scottish leagues this weekend. Dundee at home to Alloa. Dundee actually didn't play that bad in the Dundee Derby but were at the end of a freak 6-2 scoreline against a rejuvenated Utd side. This is the classic bounce back game you would want against perennial strugglers Alloa Athletic. Alloa a team too good for league 1 but too poor for the championship. They will be relegated yet again this season and Dundee will have too much for them at dens park. This has been compounded with the fact that vet kpr Neil Parry is out for the season for Alloa after an injury suffered midweek, u21 kpr Chris Henry makes his his first first team start for Alloa. Comfortable home win take Dundee -1 @29/20 or parlay Dundee with.... East Fife away to Montrose. A real feel good factor at East Fife this season. The club is operating well off the field with the people behind the scenes doing their job. Players are being secured on contracts, morale is high and that is reflecting on a happy team on the park. They are deservedly top of the league playing some nice football. They are playing away at montrose a 90 min drive up the coast. Montrose were promoted last season and are finding the step up a hard adjustment. After drawing their first game they have lost 4 games in a row... this will be their 5th. Take East fife at 19/20 Bets to consider Dundee -1 @ 2.45 Dundee + East Fife combo @ 2.925 East Fife @ 1.95 Good luck Have Fun
  14. Jack Aitchison Celtic u21 striker joined Forest Green on loan last night. He was a prolific striker in the Celtic development team and seen as one for the future. He knows where the goal is, might worth a look at Forest Greens odds at the weekend
