  1. Re: Rakeback Deals Agree on betfair, software is terrible. I've used kickback deals which suit me better than rakeback if I am planning not to play long term on a given site. Over the short term they work out a lot better than rakeback. There are several reputable sites out there for kickback deals, I hope it is OK that I mention PokerSource which is the one I use and can recommend.

  2. Re: Stepping up the stakes Rhino: My short advice is what others have said, keeping good bankroll management is key (not playing scared). When I have played above my bankroll I have been way too passive and afraid to bust. Aggression is necessary... Also, thinking about your poker bankroll not as "real money" but as simply the poker bankroll or poker chips has been a help to me.

  3. Re: Another Hand from a focus This is an instacall for me. You are way ahead of both of their ranges. Yes you might lose but even if they both beat you you still have a playable stack. You will have to win some flips to win this tournament.

  4. Hi all Thought I would seek opinions on my play here. There are about 50 players left, we're in the money and I am about 20th in chips. There is euros 24 for places 41-60 but euros 1.575 I think for first place in the tourney. Of course I do not really care if I win 20 or 40 euros, I am in it to win. So, I (ragzplay) am in the BB with ATo and there is an open limp and then an all-in from the button (who covers me). I see this all-in as fairly weak and reckon I am comfortably ahead of the button's range (stealing most probably). There are antes in play and therefore 3.5 BBs already in the pot when he shoves. Anyone agree/disagree with my call? Of course there is still the original limper to worry about as well. 1000.00/2000.00 Texas Hold'em (No Limit ) - 27. nóvember 2008 22:45:18 Bluff Europe Madness (Real /Tournament ) Seat 1: szadowy69 (28493.00) Seat 2: genoweff (23075.00) Seat 3: ragzplay (24973.00) Seat 4: DnaMillaYo (51164.00) Seat 5: kaka6666 (25754.00) Seat 6: Unknown (0.00) Seat 7: PILSEN71DP (32695.00) Seat 8: LLL666 (16468.00) Seat 9: sqezerdb (38534.00) Seat 10: badbit19 (37596.00) genoweff post SB 1000.00 ragzplay post BB 2000.00 ** Deal ** szadowy69 [N/A, N/A] genoweff [N/A, N/A] ragzplay [10s, Ac] DnaMillaYo [N/A, N/A] kaka6666 [N/A, N/A] PILSEN71DP [N/A, N/A] LLL666 [N/A, N/A] sqezerdb [N/A, N/A] badbit19 [N/A, N/A] *** Bet Round 1 *** DnaMillaYo Fold kaka6666 Fold PILSEN71DP Fold LLL666 Fold sqezerdb Fold badbit19 Call 2000.00 szadowy69 All-in 28493.00 genoweff Fold ragzplay All-in 24973.00

  5. Re: Bluff Europe and Diamond Bet Announce €7,500 Freeroll How did it end up? At my starting table there were for the most part 5 players sitting out, mostly to my left. I managed to steal their blinds very frequently and build up a half-decent stack. From about 200 players down I was in the top 10-25. When it got down to about 50 players I was in about 20th position and got it all in preflop with my AT vs K9 - for a top 6 stack. However my opponent got his king on the flop and I was only 24 euros better off at the end of it.... Pretty enjoyable tournament nonetheless - thanks for posting up!

  6. Re: Poker with PL members I am a new member too and eager to find answers, I have found some by reading the usual threads but it is a bit complicated so anyone helping us out would be a real star :cheers Simply explaining the basics of these usual tournaments and who can join etc :clap

  7. Re: Folding Pocket Queens pre-flop? It will always be very difficult to fold QQ preflop. You'd have to be pretty deepstacked to do so. Most of the times in tournaments that's not the case. Perhaps during the first few levels... Taking a flop can be very difficult, as it is with JJ. So likely an overcard will flop...
