  1. Re: UEFA Europa League > Thurs 18 August Ok, there are a couple of games that caught my eye today. Mostly I don't like the fixtures and at first glance was gonna stay away from them, but after a bit more analysis I found a couple of bets I think are worth placing. LEGIA - SPARTAK MOSCOW 2 @ 2.35 My reasoning for this is that Spartak Moscow seem quite good on the counter attack and are definately not a team to be underrated. they can cause anyone problems and I think they will come out of this match as winners. RED STAR BELGRADE - RENNES both teams to score @ 1,77 and over 2.5 @ 2,1 The atmosphere at the Marakana will be amazing and it definately will be a tough match, but if anyone is worth betting on it has to be Rennes. The Red Star fans are in high spirits after defeating Ventspils 7-0 but Rennes is a different proposition. With the likes of Yann M'Villa in their midfield, I expect them to take control of the middle of the field. It is a well known fact that serbia is lacking decent goalkeepers and this could be the difference tonight. Under Robert prosinecki, Red Star are playing very attractive attacking football, along the style of Arsenal and barca but still have a long way to go before they become a solid european squad. They have many young inexperienced players. With Rennes being poor away from home, and red star IMO the weaker team, I cannot predict a clear winner but the odds on Rennes are very juicy. Perhaps the safest bet here would be on both teams to score or overs. I think this is almost guaranteed. ATHLETICO BILBAO - TRABZONOSPOR 1 @ 1,55 and BILBAO TO WIN THE 1ST HALF @ 2,15 Trabzonospor have weakened recently and even if they hadn't Bilbao would have too much for them. Athletico is very strong at home and will want to settle this tie quickly. Having said this, one should be careful and not forget the fact that it looks like the spanish season will be starting 2 weeks later than ussual due to a player strike and this will affect player fitness. I think Bilbao will be looking to settle this in the first half and play keep ball in the 2nd. HEARTS - TOTTENHAM 2 @ 1,6 My reasoning here is simple. Tottenham are far superior to hearts even if Redknapp decides to put out a B squad. Hearts are, even in the domestic league and the Scottish league is poor in itself. I think Tottenham are overpriced in this tie. Good luck to all! :hope

Red Star - Rennes Well, Rennes being a favs at Maracana is quite a big joke IMO.They're indeed a very good side and maybe capable of winning this one, but they're surely not all that superior to be threatened as a favs in this clash.Rennes are traditionally very shaky away from home, and it's a well known fact that they'll face a very hot atmosphere at Maracana on Thursday night, in front of packed stadium.Red Star have enjoyed a very bad start in domestic league, but obviously the players had most of their focus on this match. The Red Star team is generally very good this season, strengthened with a number of players from Brazilian side Flamego, so I doubt we'll see them being as poor as they were at the weekend. One of the best RS players Evandro is still on the sidelines and is still probably very doubtful, but one way or another, it's gonna be a very good starting line-up and I don't think that Rennes will be feeling too comfortable. Player for player, Rennes ain't looking any stronger than Red Star, so surely, with 99% of confidence, one should expect that price for Red Star win will start be dropping heavily. Far from being a banker, but definitely a very nice value bet IMO. Red Star(2.88 at Stan James) to beat Rennes
RED STAR BELGRADE - RENNES I am gonna have to disagree with you here. The atmosphere at the Marakana will be amazing and it definately will be a tough match, but if anyone is worth betting on it has to be Rennes. Good luck to all.
  3. Re: Euro 2012 Qualifier & International Friendlies > 7-11 August

A quick analysis of the other matches played today: Russia - Serbia : draw, probably, it'll be an ugly match with both these teams merely shadows of what they've once been. Stil I would rather take Serbia than Russia in this one if I'd have to choose outside the draw. Cyprus - Moldova : Probably a draw in this game too, but don't be surprised if Moldova wins. Anyway, I think the simplest bet is under 2.5 Albania - Montenegro : draw Norway - Czech Rep : draw, under, Norway ah0(backup bet to cover the draw) Ukraine - Sweden : 1-1, 2-1 Liechtenstein - Switzerland : I feel this one could be a draw ... REALLY ... odds 9, maybe worth a shot. Anyway to bet on Switzerland gives no satisfaction ... no value Ireland - Croatia : both teams to score, 1-1 or over 2.5 Scotland - Denmark : draw France - Chile : way more difficult than it might seem(probably under though). If you'll be content with the directions I drew here, you may at any time thank me on my moneybookers account :D ... joking but I won't mind if you take me serious.
I agree with your views on the Russia -Serbia game. I am from Serbia nad will give you some further insight. Our coach Vladimir Petrovic is not exactly a tactical genius, however he does like his sides to play attacking football. Russia have a strong squad but they don't seem to have gelled together. Some of the serbian squad play their football in the russian league, with Tosic the most obvious one. He has been on FIRE in the russian league and has really hit form. I don't think this will be a pretty match, but with the odds on offer i definately think a punt on Serbia is well worth it. A safer option might be Serbia DNB but i would stay away from betting on the russians in this one. One further point worth mentioning is that both Red Star Belgrade and Partizan Belgrade have important club matches coming up in qualification for the Europa League and some of their players will be involved in this friendly. Having said that I doubt they will be willing to risk injury and give it 100% on the field in a friendly. Milan Jovanovic is one to watch out for as he has just signed with anderlecht and I suspect he might be "in the mood" tonight. He definately has the ability to score goals. Good luck to all...
  4. Re: International Friendlies > Weekend > Thursday 27th May - Sunday 30th May Hi, I am willing to stake a whole bunch of money on a Serbia win tonight...! Serbia's thrid choice line-up would still have too much for New Zealand. I don't mean to undermine NZ but tobe honest, the two squads cannot even be compared! Definately gonna be backing a Serbia win tonight, and with places in the starting line-up at the world cup at stake, I am positive that the players will give it there all. I expect quite a few goals and a convincing Serbia win. Good luck to you all...

Reasoning1st leg of this semi final tonight in Vicente Calderon stadium.Athletico must make a result if want to have a chance to qualify for the final.Athletico is without Aguero ,Tiago &Ibrahima .Liverpool come without Torres ,maxi Rodriguez ,Babel ,Scretel & Aurelio. Liverpool got play Monday night vs West Ham and their travel to Madrid during 24h.Many question on how Liverpool will approach this game but Athletico could make a suprise tonight and a DNB represent a safest bet with a little value on the odd.
Babel is definately in Spain with the squad...unless if the bbc just magically made him appear in the interview upon their arrival...It's posts like yours which confuse people....BABEL IS DEFINATELY IN SPAIN!
  6. Re: UEFA Europa League 22nd April One more thing, many people believe that Barcelona lost because they looked heavy on their feet after the long trip took up all their energy. Fact of the matter is, Barcelona were outplayed all over the field. Mourinho got his tactics spot on. If a champions league semi isn't enough to get their adrenalin levels pumping and their energy high, then i don't know what is. Gonna be all over Liverpool tonight!

  7. Re: UEFA Europa League 22nd April Hi, Personally I would not bet on Athletico Madrid against a liverpool squad which travelled to Spain on horseback...I know the last couple of games have been fairly tight but Liverpool is a side with much more quality than Athletico. Torres is out but apparently Aguero is too.Let's not forget that Rafa is somewhat of an expert when it comes to spanish teams. I can definately see Liverpool getting a goal away from home even without Torres. I am a liverpool fan, however, looking at it from a non bias standpoint, Liverpool still have the quality to beat any side in Europe, with or without Torres. In many games, Kuyt has come up with the odd goal to snatch the points. After watching the West ham game, and seeing Rafa bring Babel on as a central striker, I am thinking that Babel might even start instead of Ngog tonight. His movement was very good against West Ham. having said that, West ham did allow him a lot of space. There has been alot of talk about their train and bus trips, but remember, these guys don't travel economy class and to be honest, maybe it's exactly what was needed for a bit of team building. I watched quite a few clips of the guys along the way departing the train and boarding and they all looked fresh and in high spirits. I think this could just be a catalyst for an even better performance! I think Benayoun will start and we know how much he can create. For me, Liverpool is overpriced and over two legs, Athletico have no real chance of progressing, especially since they have been dismal away from home this season. Athletico did beat Valencia , who have a good attack but their defence cannot be compared to that of liverpool. I definately believe Liverpool have the quality to sneak a win here! I will be backing liverpool. To summarise, i will wait for the line up, but will probably be backing liverpool to snatch a win. Will try 2 bets, Liverpool away win and under 2.5 goals. ;) good luck to all..... i believe Athletico have lost 4 out their last 5 at home...

  8. UEFA Cup - ( 30-02 10 2009 ) HI, hmmmm not so sure about everton...Standard seem to be causing a lot of trouble for the english sides.. remember that liverpool only just managed to beat them in extra time. They have sold Fellaini since then to everton but this is still a tough one to call. FK Partizan are my favourites. They have been playing really well lately and a HW is almost sure to happen! Of all the games on tonight this has got to be one of the favourites. In the first match they completely outclassed Politehnika Timisoara away from home and although the game ended 1:2 it could have easily been 1:3 or 1:4. They are a much better squad than the guests. Also keep in mind that Partizan only just barely lost Fenerbahce in the 3rd stage of champions league qualifying..2:2 in Belgrade and 2:1 in Turkey. Some might even say they actually deserved to go through but were punished by some controversial refereeing. They had 2 goals disallowed in Turkey and 1 in Belgrade. You do the math. My money will be on Partizan tonight, medium stack at @1.55 and possibly i might just risk it on Artmedia @3.2 at home too as they are no school team and have the ability to beat Braga. :gimme
