  1. Re: Leopardstown - 11/1/09 Leopardstown 14:55 Pertemps Handicap Hurdle (qualifier) P'tit Fute (FR) comes from a yard that has hit form in recent weeks and, reappearing from a break, is another with claims running over this trip for the first time -RP verdict 1pt win @ 9-1 Paddy Power Badgerlaw (IRE) Distance suits - 3/11 and 6/15 at Navan's 3m course. Ground suits - won only run on it. Also has a win on Yld, Sft pl. He's been in decent shape since falling at Gowran Park on his reappearance in October. 156 since that day. 2 wins, 3 seconds from 10 hurdle runs are good numbers for an e/w. 1pt ew @ 20-1 Bet365 BOG Bellflower Boy (IRE) Had a four-timer from October '07 to January '08 over 20 to 22 furlongs. 3m trips after that was for a PU and 24/25. Placed 2nd and 5th when dropped back in trip. Return to 3m looks vulnerable but price of 25's looks good enough for a small gamble. 1pt ew @ 25-1 Bet365 BOG Takeyourpick (IRE) Distance winner and beaten favorite lto. 222F12 since December 2007. All but the last two were in point to points. Still, he looks to be in top shape and gets almost 2 stones less here than last two runs. 1pt ew @ 33-1 Bet365 BOg

  2. Re: Leopardstown - 11/1/09 Leopardstown 14:20 Pierse Hurdle (extended Handicap (0-145) Splurge (IRE) Has a respectable course and distance form. 3/15, 2/24, 2/14, 3/7. One time he had P Carberry for jockey and they finished 3 of 15 (7-4f). He's had a good January in the past too - 2/6 in '07 and 3/15 & 1/19 last year. 1pts ew @ 14-1 Bet365 BOG Siege Of Ennis (IRE) Andrew J McNamara is booked for this one. The two over the C&D finished 3/20 and 1/25. That was in 27Dec07 and 27Jan08. Both over hurdles. I am suprise to see the blinkers on today. It's been off since the flat days, 21Oct07 to be exact. Still the same trainer though so they must what they're doing. With his only career win being with Andrew J McNamara I think we'll see his best here. 1pts ew @ 25-1 Bet365 BOG Fen Game (IRE) Trainer E J O'Grady in 16f races with 20 runners or more = 2/20, 4/27, 2/30, 1/20, 3/21 I really like the consistency there. Fen Game lost by 2 lengths to Imperial Hills lto who had 1 stone less to carry that day. It was also his best run since the beginning of the year (won 24Feb08). 5pts ew @ 10-1 vc bet Wanango (GER) Owned by J P McManus Trained by T Stack The two combine for 10 wins from 38 runs (26%, +9.78) in Irish Jumps the past 5 seasons. He made a good effort last month after being off for 8 months. Last three runs had A P McCoy on board and they finished 11th, 11th, F. A P Crowe returns today and they combine for a 2ND and win and from runs together. 1pt ew @ 28-1 Bet365 BOG

  3. Re: Leopardstown - 11/1/09 Leopardstown 13:15 Beroni (IRE) Won chase debut after a month-and-a-half break. He defeated Financial Reward's stablemate that day who was the 2-1f. Winless over hurdles so change in form looks good even with the rise up in Class. 1pt ew @ 20-1 Bet365 BOG Leopardstown 13:45 Schindlers Hunt (IRE) 1555 record with P W Flood on board. Last three outings had been with Flood. 1pt ew @ 20-1 Ladbrokes Leopardstown 13:45 Clew Bay Cove (IRE) Favored to win his race on his last visit here but only 4 of 11 @ 9-4 that day. That race was for 2m1f (0-140) Handicap Chase. Won his other run here in a bumper. Gotta like how he raced lto and if in same or slightly better shape he wont be far. 1pt ew @ 22-1 Bluesq

  5. Re: Lingfield - 10Jan08 Lingfield 13:45 Maison d'Or Shown ability in two starts. Latest run had was for 4th of 8, beaten 9 3/4 lenghts. Front two there was 7 lengths clear of third - they SP'd at 4-5f and 11-8. Comments in Running from lto. Held up in midfield, ridden and effort well over 1f out, soon outpaced and no chance with leaders final furlong, went modest 4th towards finish Analysis from lto. Maison D'Or again showed ability at an ordinary level and should do better over further in ordinary handicaps in due course. 1pt ew @ 50-1 Sky Bet

Lingfield 12:40 Sabre Light In much better form than any of theses even with his latest only 5/13. Form on the all-weather since 11Sep08 is 427151115. Drawn the same as his last win here. Course form is 515. First time visor should not be a concern He has a 1 of 9 in first cheekpeaces and 2 of 8 first time blinkers from experinece. 10pts to win @ SP I totaly agree with your analysis, this was nearly my BBOTD. I'm on.
    1st @ 9-4 :cheers
  8. Re: Kempton 10/1/09 Kempton 14:45 Mujamead 5 wins from 13 on All-Weather and NH starts since joining A W Carroll. 2111 on the All-Weather. He's not touch the standard surface since winning at Southwell last February. But, prior NH to AW change has been in his favor. 2 of 13 at C&D after a winning run over hurdles. NH races had been in Class 342333 so this class 5 might be suitable. 5pts ew @ 7-1 Bet365 BOG (8-1 with ladbrokes and sportingbet)

  9. Lord Larsson 13:35 Wetherby Phil Kinsella is booked for the first time. Lord Larsson have not raced badly in four two runs over hurdles. 3rd of 16 in both runs beaten 3 3/4 and 8 lengths. Whenever trainer J M Jefferson switches to Kinsella it it usually proftiable to follow. In 2008 that event won 7 of 25 for a win % return at SP of 235.7% - Male runners only. 2pts ew @ SP 11Jan08 Carlisle 3:45 Cave Hill (IRE) 3m110y race Whenever trainer J M Jefferson switches to Kinsella it it usually proftiable to follow. In 2008 that event won 7 of 25 for a win % return at SP of 235.7% - Male runners only. 3 wins from 4 3m to 3m1f race. Rimsky Korsakov (IRE) 14:40 Wetherby 221544 record at this course. 5 of 10 in only try at the distance of 3m1f. With half his lifetime runs being here I think he has that for an advantage over the rest. He's won in this class before - 05Jun08 by 4 1/2 lengths in a 4 runner race. No other runner in this field has raced more here. 2pts ew @ SP

  10. Diamond Frontier (IRE) 14:30 Ayr Won by 12 lengths last time jockey Denis O'Regan was on board. 2221 lifetime with O'Regan. 223212 for 2008. Walford is booked for today. lto was a Grade 3 HcCh and it was for 30 furlongs. All four wins came in 24 to 25 furlongs - 25f today. He won a Class 2 (19K) event back in 03May08. 5pts ew @ 5-1 Bet365 BOG

All runs in fields of at least 8 and up to 14 and never beaten farther than 2 lengths. Onyl 7 running here but definitely worth the price from what he's done. 3pts ew @ SP

  12. Re: Bbotd 9/01/09 Lingfield 2:00 Ben Had a good ride lto and should get better from that run. 'comments in running' Steadied after start, held up in last trio, ridden just over 2f out, headway over 1f out, kept on to go 4th near finish, never reached leaders Others in that race was able to do well too. 1st- Thoughtsofstardom went on to be 211 on his next three. 3rd- Sarah's Art (IRE) placed 2nd and 3rd in two of next three. 5th- Triskaidekaphobia placed 3rd next time out. Switch in jockey to Steve Drown should help too. Drowne won two of his four mounts in the last meeting he rode at this course. Drowne and Ben combo have a form of 443. Ben's past C&D (AW) form is 344. EW

  13. Re: Wolverhampton- 9/01 Wolverhampton 3:35 Hi Dancer Won 2 of 5 career runs on the all-weather including lto. by 11 lengths. Next and last two runners from trainer P C Haslam after Hi Dancers win showed improvement. Inca Slew finished 6/11 by 1.94 lengths on his AW debut. Scutch Mill placed in 2nd of 13 to a runners trained by R Hollinshead. Both raced 2 days ago. Stable is in good shape so Hi Dancer is a good candidate to follow up with a win here. 10pts to win @ 10-3 Bet365 BOG Wolverhampton 4:05 Helping Hand (IRE) One of two runners in this race trained by R Hollinshead. Hollinshead has been in very good form lately - 50226121 this year. Or 4 wins, 3 seconds, 1 third from 17 runs the past 14 days. He books jockey David Kenny the first time for Helping Hand but it should work out. Kenny has ridden three second placed from his last three for Hollinshead. Helpind Hand won lto with Andrea Atzeni on board 5pts ew @ 11-2 Bet365 BOG

  15. Re: Lingfield - 9/1/09 1:00 C'Mon You Irons (IRE) Chances of getting a run like last time looks good here. Jockey Jim Crowley stays on board. Together they have a 3rd of 11 and that win lto. Basically a similar race like last time; Lingfield, C6 Selling Stakes. 5pts ew @ 5-1 Bet365 BOG

  16. Re: Bbotd 8/1/09 Southwell 2:20 Jacks House (IRE) Hard to oppose S A Callaghan's record here - 4 wins from 9, 7 placed. But Jacks House should be able to do well here. He is dropped in Class after a career best effort in a maiden lto. Faced rivals trained by Channon, two from E A L Dunlop, and R Harris lto. ew

  17. Re: Southwell 8/01/09 Southwell 12:50 Don Pele (IRE) Won LTO at this course over 6f. 33673 lifetime record when dropped from 6f to 5f. I think he'll be able to do the same because he stays in the same Class (6) as last time. Alslo napped by Sunday Mail who currently has a 2 win streak. Trainer R A Harris does best with LTO winners on the all-weather at this course. 5 wins from 24 compare to 8 from 64 at the other three courses. 10pts to win. R A Harris with 2ND lto runners have 5 wins (8 placed) from 14 at this course since '04. Hamassy fits the bill for this one. He runs in the 4 o'clock race. Again, this course is best for Harris with 2ND lto runners - 8 from 55 at the others. 10pts to win Southwell 1:50 Halaak (USA) Beaten by a length LTO by La Capriosa. They face each other here but his rival has 6lbs more to carry than last time. Blinkers stays on just like the previous two so I think he'll be in top form once again. 10pts to win Southwell 2:20 Jacks House (IRE) Hard to oppose S A Callaghan's record here - 4 wins from 9, 7 placed. But Jacks House should be able to do well here. He is dropped in Class after a career best effort in a maiden lto. Faced rivals trained by Channon, two from E A L Dunlop, and R Harris lto. 5pts ew

  18. Re: Great Leighs 8/12/09 Great Leighs 3:55 Dubai To Barnsley Has a course record of 5 of 10 and 2 of 12. Debut was over 5f and the 2nd place effort came from the 6f trip of today. He was hampered at the start lto. I think that is worth forgiving because of his two second placed runs before that. 3pts ew

  19. Re: All-Weather - to follow by PL2008

Wolverhampton 2:50 Maybe I Wont Two second placed effort from two runs at the C&D. 72221 course record for previous trainers. Only 6th and 7th from two runs for current trainer Lucinda Featherstone. First 4 runs for Featherstone was over 7f and LTO was back to 6f. He lost by 3 lengths when weakened in the final furlong but overall it was not a bad run. Finished 7 of 9 that day with 8th horse winning next time out (Don Pele). He's tracked the leaders in his last two so stall 3 should help if running style continues. 1pt ew @ 40-1 Sportingbet
Maybe I Wont 4th of 8 held up in rear, ridden 1f out, ran on to take 4th close home Held up today:\ Hopefully Lucinda Featherstone drops him in Class next time out.

Wolverhampton 2:20 Sorrel Ridge (BBOTD) From LTO... Dropping one Class from 5 to 6. All but one (Irish raider) raced in a Class 6. Beaten 7 3/4 lengths into 5th of 5 runner at Great Leighs. First time with tounge strap and cheek pieces that day. Tounge strap is off today but cheek pieces stays. It was his best effort on the all-weather. Previous beaten distances are 23 and 13. Three of four rivals from that raced from his last outing all placed. 4th- Mandhooma finished 2 of 5 @ 16-1 3rd - Fangfoss Girls, placed 2 of 7 @ 4-1 1st - Gone Hunting, placed 3rd of 9 in a Class 4 Hc. 1pt ew @ 20-1 Betfred
Sorrel Ridge 5th of 9 held up, chased leaders, over 3f out, not much room on inside over 2f out, switched right approaching final furlong, stayed on opened 10/1 touched 9/1 Again another improvement but not good enough for a payout. Not far from the winner, about 3+ lengths with 4th being 4 lengths behind.
  21. Re: Wolverhampton 7/1/09 Wolverhampton 5:20 Turkish Sultan (IRE) - 5pts ew @ 9-1 vc bet Three runs here have been solid and price in the 8s 'n 9s looks valuable. 3/11 on 15Dec08 - ran on well inside final furlong, gaining towards finish 3/13 on 06Dec08 - stayed on final furlong 4/10 on 24Oct08 - kept on final furlong, not reached leaders Last two races was for 1m1f, October races was for 1m141y. 1m1f103y today should help alot. Jockey from all three is again booked here. Jarvo - 1pt ew @ 14-1 Bluesq 3 of 5 career wins have come from this course. 4816311 for current trainer at this course. 6311 here last year - from January to February. Last two runs last year looks good to have his winning form to return this year. 3/13 and 5/13 last month was a good change from being 11/13, 11/14, 13/14 from August to October. + 1pt ex box
