  1. Yes, would be gutting to see the PL Poker community die off.

Myself, I have hardly played a hand of online poker in 2015. I have 10 days off over the Xmas &

will play some Tournaments. Had a quick look around the sites & there is loads of Xmas Tree giveaways, Tournies etc over the festive period. :beer:beer:beer

Will post some up later tonight.

Keep the PL Poker Community Alive. :ok:ok:ok

  2. Hello All. So looking forward to this. Got my tournament bets in this post & will post my match bets tomorrow. Djokovic, Wawrinka, S Williams & Sharapova ALL to win their Quarters 12/1 @ Ladbrokes 1.5pts win Decent bet to hopefully follow through to the Quarters. Djokovic & Williams should have no real problems. Wawrinka's main danger is Dimitrov who is not playing that well. Raonic has just come back from injury & anything past the 3rd Round will be a decent showing & prepare himself for the US Open. Sharapova danger in her quarter lies Safarova. a battle there but small stakes on this bet, will make it fun to follow. Jo Wilfred Tsonga to win Wimbledon Mens 80/1 @ Sporting Bet 0.5pts ew In Murrays Quarter of the draw but was really impressed by him at the French Open. Played two classic matches vs Nishikori & Wawrinka. He probably gave Stan his toughest game in the whole tournament & JWS was unlucky to lose that. Also considering last round in played a 5 setter vs Nishikori. If Tsonga can reproduce anything of his French Open form, he will give Murray an almighty scare in the R16, where they are due to meet. Agnieszka Radwanska to win Wimbledon Womens 33/1 @ Stan James 1pt ew With Serena Williams & Maria Sharapova in the Top half of the draw it should allow one of the big price players to at least make the Final. Kerber, Halep, Lisicki all deserve a mention but I'm going to have a couple of points each way on Radwanska. Kvitova is in her Quarter but I'm not convinced she is anywhere near the same form that she won this last year. AR just seems to be hitting form just at the right time. Good run at Eastbourne should set her up nicely for this. Yaroslava Shvedova to win 3rd Quarter Wimbledon Womens 80/1 @ PaddyPower 0.5pts win Fantastic price on Shevdova. Dangerous player on grass & should be 25's or 33's to win this Quarter. Couple of really good, confidence wins at WTA Hertogenbosch vs Bouchard & Erakovic. Lost a very close three setter vs Giorgi who went on to win it. Giorgi is only 20's to win this Quarter, so worth snapping up this overprice. Good Luck all :hope

  4. Re: French Open 2015

You can already get at least 5.5 on Wawrinka so presumably you're all over that? I disagree that anything over 4.0 is worth a bet. Stan has been immense this fortnight but he won't trouble Djokovic.
Last four Grand Slam meetings between these two have taken five sets to complete. Wawrinka is playing on one of his favourite surfaces(on clay) & you think he won't trouble Djokovic? Why?
  5. Re: French Open 2015

If anyone could upset him at the moment on clay it would be Nadal' date=' Nishikori or Wawrinka. NOT Murray.[/quote'] Eh? Nadal got easily beat by Djokovic last Round & Murray beat both Nishikori & Nadal with ease at the Madrid Masters. I agree with you about Wawrinka. 5.9 odds on Murray was way overpriced today on current form etc. If Djokovic wins tomorrow then anything over 4.0 odds on Wawrinka will be worth a bet in Sunday's Final
  6. Re: French Open 2015 Andy Murray to beat Novak Djokovic French Open Semi Final @ 5.9 Betfair (5/10) Ok, Djokovic is playing unbelievably good at this moment in time but having Murray as a 5.9 underdog is ridiculous. How can the bookies have Nadal @3.2 who has been very average by his standards but Murray who is 15/0 on clay in 2015 & IMO should be a 2.8-3.4 underdog. I caught ND 1st set vs RN & from a dominate display made stupid errors which Murray can fully capitalise on. Should be a cracker. Murray 5pts win. :hope

  7. Just randomly looking for a game to play on PaddyPower tonight & saw these in the lobby. I missed tonight's which was a $1,500 Freeroll but PP are running tournaments during the day, after each race. 8. Re: Australian Open 2015 I'm with Czech on this & the value in my opinion lies with Berdych. I agree with your argument if your comments were pre-Nadal match, but there's something changed with Berdych now...he believes he can win & beat the top guys. Nadal was beginning to improve & last round destroyed Anderson 3-0, for TB to go there & totally destroy Nadal in three sets was mighty impressive.Berdych whole body language & his mindset has changed & that has got to do with his new team & Vallverdu in particular. This 'Berdych' & the 'Berdych' at the 02 in London is a different animal.... He was scared before he hit a ball, frightened & didnt believe he could win vs the 'top guys'...he got semi-boooed when he walked off after Wawrinka defeat, it was embarrassing. Murray IMO does not look near the Andy Murray from a couple years ago(I think he will see the best of him at Wimbledon & Us Open) & believe at this moment in time, Berdych has the edge. Whatever happens it should be a cracker. My tip: Andy Murray vs Tomas Berdych: Murray over 9.5 aces @1.83 Ladbrokes(6/10) At worse 3 or 4 close sets.Last two rounds Murray has hit 13 & 10 aces. His last meeting(got beat 6-3 6-4)vs Berdych at Cincinnati Masters in 2013, on hard courts hit 10 aces in only two sets. I can see Murray getting over 9.5 aces tonight. 6pts win Good Luck all :hope

  9. Re: Australian Open 2015

Becoming a bit of a torture now, but I'll hang on. Five for me tomorrow actually. Back Coco Vandeweghe (-2.5) to beat Madison Brengle for a 8/10 stake at 1.95 with Pinnacle Vandeweghe crushed Stosur surprisingly easily and I think that she'll have no problems against Brengle either. She's just a bad match-up for Brengle with her big serve and the H2H record shows that as well, so I can't see an upset in this one really.
Really like this bet Czech. Tempted by the -4.5 but best not to be too greedy. A few good bets tonight I like the look of... Raonic vs Becker under 35.5 games @1.83 sporting bet(7/10) Johnson vs Nishikori over 32.5 games @1.92 Pinnacle(5/10) Should be an straight sets win for Raonic tonight + Johnson can keep it tight vs KN + see the line being beat in close 3 or 4 sets. Good Luck all
  10. Re: William Hill World Championships > December 18th - January 4th What a fantastic way to finish the darts with this cracker of a final. What the hell was happening to Anderson with all the 'bounce outs'? That 180 bounce out was ridiculous. Mardell in commentary was blaming the board but Taylor only had one bounce-out compared to Anderson who must have had 10+ That final ranks up with the very best in terms of nail-biting excitement. Missus hates darts but she enjoyed it. Must have been good :D Well done all the tipsters on here, great job.

  11. Re: Grand Slam of Darts - 8-16 Nov Absolutely loving this thread & all the tips from everyone. Well done Kev & Jazzer. Top stuff. :ok While I'm here I might as well put my two pence worth in. Michael van Gerwen v Kim Huybrechts- Huybrechts Highest match check out over 116.5 Skybet(5/10) I honestly think the bookies have this 5 points short here, with the way Huybrechts has been finishing in this tournament. In his impressive win over Norris he took out 118,144 & 155. One other leg he was one dart away from taking out 138.His wins on the earlier rounds vs Dekker took out 143 & vs Webster 126. Its one of them bets I can't ignore.5pts win

  12. Re: PokerPlayer Mag / Will Hill €1800 Freeroll Series - the next 4 Sundays starting 2

I have to say im not impressed with the running of this series. First we had a 500 field on mainly non-uk players to contend with in leg1. Secondly we were assured the freeroll didnt really matter because the league table would be heavily weighted towards the two buy-in-legs. Thirdly, no cash was added to the lobby in leg 2 so we were unaware of what we were playing for. and now to see the league table puts the icing on the cake. The dude who won the freeroll got 50pts and the runner-up got 40pts. How can this be heavily weighted to the buy-in games when i only got 41pts for finishing 3rd?
I agree with you, 1st point I hope PP never do this email out the passwords again. Has to password in mag+ buy in of $5 or $10. Saying all that I don't see much wrong with the scoring LusitaneaOQC got 90+ points for winning the buy in event with only 32 runners. To win a freeroll with 500 runners deserves its only merits so fair enough he got 50 points in that. Did he even play the next event?? More than likely be another 500+ in Sunday's freeroll :(
  13. Re: January 27 - February 2 Igor Sijsling(+2.5 sets) to beat Tomas Berdych @2.30 PaddyPower (6/10) Berdych had a superb run in the Aussie Open. TB is defiantely favourite today, home advahtage but at odds of 1.08 is crazy.IG is on his favourite surface & this will be a much closer game than the odds suggest. I can see IS at least nicking one set. As above going have a small punt on Sijsling to beat Berdych @11.00 Betfair(2/10) Good Luck all :hope

  14. Re: Australian Open 2014 David Ferrer(-3.5 games) to beat Tomas Berdych Aussie Open Quarter-Final @3.25 Paddy Power (5/10) As others have stated, I havent got a clue why the bookies have Berdych favourite for this.I can see this very similar to the Mayer match with DF grinding TB down after a close opening set.The 2.38 betfair offering is good but I'm, confident DF can win with a minus 3.5 game handicap. 5 pts win Stanislas Wawrinka to win a set vs Novak Djokovic Aussie Open Quarter-Final @2.38 William Hill (4/10) Djokovic has looked like he's been in 2nd gear this whole tournament & still took apart Istomin & Fogini in the last two rounds.Wawrinka no doubt steps up his game in the Majors & will prove a tough test for ND. In the last two majors between these two its gone to five sets & I'm expecting another close one. I can see Wawrinka taking a set.4 pts win Roger Federer(-2.5games) to beat Andy Murray Aussie Open Quarter-Final @2.38 Paddy Power (4/10) Federer is playing some outstanding tennis this tournament & looks like he's actually enjoying playing again. I watched his match vs Tsonga & he totalled schooled him for the majority.Murray has also been playing well but seems to switch off for periods like his match vs Robert which is slightly worrying. If he does the same vs RF, he could see himself a couple of sets down & out of the Aussie Open.Six months ago, I would have gone Murray but I really think RF is at the top of his game right now & thats alot to do with his new coaching team..4 pts win :hope

  15. Re: Australian Open 2014 Mona Barthel to beat Flavia Pennetta Aussie Open 3rd Round @3.25 William Hill(4/10) Good little price on Barthel to overcome Pennetta in this 3rd Round.I would have the game priced up very even or with Pennetta a very slight favourite.Out of the two, I've been more impressed with MB than FP in this actual AO. I think MB has the edge tonight & getting over 3.00 a defo bet. 4pts win Good Luck all :hope

  16. Re: Australian Open 2014 Karin Knapp to beat Maria Sharapova Aussie Open 1st Rd @20 Betfair (2/10) I really was not impressed by Sharapova last round & got through due her opponent throwing away important points. The heat is going to be a major factor & maybe thats one reason why MS look so poor.Again temperature will be around 42c when this match is played in a couple of hours.KK sailed through her last match vs Ormaechea impressively 6-4 6-2.If I could pick who will cope better in the weather conditions will be Knapp.MS is there for the taking & at odds of 20.00 I'm willing to stick 2pts on it.Odds were at 22.00 As above but I'm also doing Knapp(+1.5 sets) to beat Sharapova @5.4 Betvictor (3/10) Going to follow junesixth bet on Bellucci. Bellucci to win a set vs JW Tsonga @2.5 Bwin (4/10) Good Luck all :hope

  17. Re: Australian Open 2014 Ana Ivanovic to beat Annika Beck Aussie Open 2nd Rd Under 18.5 games @2.00 PaddyPower(5/10) Again crazy Melbourne temperatures of 42c make players want to finish their games as quickly as possible & get off court. I see Ivanovic trying to get this game over asap. H2H reads 1-0 win for AI last year at WTA Tokyo 6-1 6-1. The game Handicap is couple of points too high in this match. 5pts win

  18. Re: Australian Open 2014 Yaroslava Shvedova to beat Sloane Stephens Aussie Open 1st Rd @5.00 Ladbrokes(6/10) Stephens last match at the Hopman Cup she pulled out with a wrist injury. She played her other two matches but hasnt played a competitive WTA fixture for nearly three months.Rusty?+ the fact she has had this injury 10 days ago. I have placed this bet with a 'one ball' result bookie & also Ladbrokes had the best price for this game. Importantly, aswell is that Shvedova has the ability to 'get up'for these big games & is a big threat for SS, even if she didnt have all these problems.Too many factors say this is a defo bet & going a larger than usual 6pts win :hope

  19. Re: Australian Open 2014 Teimuraz Gabashvii(+6.5 games) to beat Sergiy Stakhovsky Aussie Open 1st Rd @1.83 PaddyPower(5/10) SS leads the H2H between these two 2-0, but like past history I can see a close match between these two. Stakhovsky is off the back of a decent run to the Semi-finals at ATP Sydney & TB had a couple of deep Challenger Event runs at the back of 2013.He'll raise his game for this one & see 3 or 4 close sets. 5pts win Also gonna have a small wager on Gabashvii beating Stakhovsky in this match: Gabashvii to beat Stakhovsky @4.50 Bet365(2/10) Ryan Harrison(+6.5 games) to beat Gael Monfils Aussie Open 1st Rd @2.00 Unibet(6/10) Really good price on Harrison to give Monfils a real scare tonight & I think he will run him very close. Monfils made the ATP Doha Final over a week ago losing to Nadal but had some impressive victories over Mayer,Brands,Gasquet along the way.Harrison has proven he can push all the top seeds & also gained a few outstanding wins over them aswell. What Monfils will turn up is another question? RH will not fear GB & I can see a marathon game between these two.6pts win As above, same match going to do a couple of points on Harrison to beat Monfils @7.00 Boylesport(2/10) Good Luck with your bets :hope

  20. Re: Australian Open 2014 Nicolas Mahut(-2.5 games) to beat Matthew Ebden Aussie Open 1st Rd @2.00 Ladbrokes(7/10) Only 15 ranking places seperate these two, with Ebden returning to his favoured hard courts. They have met before 4 years ago with Mahut winning 6-3 6-2. On paper ME hard court record seems impressive but looking through his career its mainly Challenger players he has beaten. The noteable names he has played on the hard courts he has lost. Mahut however finished 2013 in amazing form winning events91 indoor, two grass).NM last match took Del Porto 3 sets & looking good to have another decent season. My Bet of the day this one.7pts win Dominic Thiem to beat Joao Sousa Aussie Open 1st Rd @2.10 Titanbet(5/10) In my opinion Thiem should be the favourite in this match. Some notable victories over Young, Bachinger & beating Klizan in his last match 6-2, 7-5. JS has more experience on the hard courts but has started 2014 with two defeats. Close enough match but I'm on the 'form' player which is Thiem. 5pts win Pablo Carreno-Busta to beat Julien Benneteau Aussie Open 1st round @3.5 Ladbrokes(4/10) Fancy a bit of an upset in this one. H2H reads a 1-0 lead for CB at ATP Oeiras(clay).Carreno-Busta has shown that he can take his game to the indoor/hard surfaces.Narrow defeat for him vs Kohlschreiber at ATP Auckland & also some impressive wins at the end of 2013.JB has lost 7 out of his last 10 matches & PCB couldnt be meeting him at a better time.4pts win Good luck with all your bets :hope
