Re: Tennis : French Open (23rd May to 5th June)
I am that lucky b&$t&rd!! Nice touch, watched him play well on the stuff in South America and backed him after Mexico. Was going to back Puerta at 80/1 before Paris, gutted i missed that one!:wall Just backed him at 25/1 for Wimbledon bst price now 14/1.:hopeSo you're the lucky b*****d - remember some guy posting somewhere he had Nadal at 12/1 - who had Nadal at 12/1 before he dropped to 3/1 a month before Roland Garros... :lol I hope Puerta wins the 4th nonetheless to make for an enthralling finale... -
Re: Tennis : Gerry Webber Open/Stella Artois Championship Popp to beat Safin for me. Marat hates grass and has admited so in the past. Popp has the German backing and is a decent server too, could spell trouble for the rather volatile Russian.

Re: Tennis : French Open (23rd May to 5th June) Don't normally get nervous watching the tennis but seeing as i have a quid on Nadal at 12/1 from months ago i am! Puerta's playing like a man possessd, hats off to the guy, great fortnight for him.

Re: There's one word I certainly have learned about poker
I like to do "other things" while i play to stop the temptation of playing too many hands. Music' date=' PS2, the TV anything...[/quote']I find playing Football Manager 2005 helps with this! -

Re: International Rugby June 3rd-5th Wales team to play the USA on Saturday, 4 June Kick-off: 2000 BST. Wales: Kevin Morgan (Newport Gwent Dragons); Rhys Williams (Cardiff Blues), Mark Taylor (Sale Sharks, capt), Ceri Sweeney (Newport Gwent Dragons), Craig Morgan (Cardiff Blues); Nicky Robinson (Cardiff Blues), Michael Phillips (Cardiff Blues); Duncan Jones (Ospreys), Matthew Rees (Llanelli Scarlets), Adam Jones (Ospreys), Brent Cockbain (Ospreys), Luke Charteris (Newport Gwent Dragons), Jonathan Thomas (Ospreys), Colin Charvis (Newcastle Falcons, vice-captain), Ryan Jones (Ospreys). Replacements: Rhys Thomas (Cardiff Blues), Ben Broster (Saracens), Ian Gough (Newport Gwent Dragons), Richie Pugh (Ospreys), Andrew Williams (Bath Rugby), Matthew Watkins (Llanelli Scarlets), Tal Selley (Llanelli Scarlets). Some fairly experienced internationals included and some are unlucky to miss out on the Lions tour, Wales should be strong enough without their Lions players to win comfortably

Re: Sports Personality of the year Remember Michael Owen being odds on following his 3 goals in Germany for England until Beckham curled in his last minute freekick against Greece to deny the little one! Then it was Beckham hysteria!

Re: Tennis Masters Series : Hamburg (9th - 15th May 2005) Gasquets coming good for a run at the French Open, hes obviouslly gonna be getting a wild card for that one unless his ranking improves dramatically.Should be too strong for Rochus and hes beaten him last year on clay in Mexico. Should be a good final if all goes to plan, Gasquet v Federer.

Re: Master Series : Rome (Tennis)
No' date=' he played with half his mind on querying the tournament supervisor if he reckoned he was insane for requesting that the light emanating from the scoreboard be turned off(Gaudio claimed he couldn't see the ball properly as the colour resembled that off the lights from the scoreboard)! :rollin :rollin[/quote']Sort of attitude you'd expect from a premiership footballer not the bloody French Open winner! -
Re: Master Series : Rome (Tennis) Gaudio got walloped 2-0 (6-0, 6-1)!! Never saw the game, needless to say i'm rather shocked at the score, did he play with one arm tied behind his back!!?
