  1. Re: Hunter Chase Season Morning NO Recommended bet. As off to Folkestone tonight, will make my final decisions on track. Here though are my thoughts on that meeting and the other hunter chase race. Kelso [5.20] Coole Abbey deserves to win a race, after running his heart out the last three runs. Folkestone 6.00 This fast ground will be right up the street of Exodus who caught the eye of some decent judges when winning his point recently. 7.00 I know top jockey Richard Burton is expecting a very good run from Hot Toddy 7.30 Again Burton will take the beating on the odds on Paddy for Paddy. But I think Tell Tale who has been laid out for this race after running well under rules will give him something to think about. 8.00 This is the most competive heat of the night.Think it lies at decent each/way odds between Lord Euro and Bell Rock. 8.30 Be surprised if Satchmo fails to outclass this lot.
  2. Re: Hunter Chase Season Hello again Market Rasen [4.35] NO Bet Not a race to get excited about.Favourite Royal Snoopy is unreliable these days, and the mare Teeton Princess getting the weight is probably the one to beat. Back on Wednesday
  3. Re: Hunter Chase Season Uttoxeter [6.10] NO Bet. Looks like favourite Mr Mahdlo wont run.Have heard the old timer Game Gunner is fit after a long break. Back Sunday @ 1pm
  4. Re: Hunter Chase Season WON [5-2]:rollin Profit to recommended Stakes:1.34pts Ongoing Profit/Loss: + 15.44
  5. Re: Hunter Chase Season Afternoon Bangor [5.00] Fascinating race this.Champion Elect Richard Burton could easily have took the easy option and ride his usual 2 or 3 winners at a point meeting today, yet comes here having the choice to ride of the two favourites,Cornish Gale and Quality First. He chose Cornish,so that must run well. But I like No Retreat,he was a classy horse under rules and impressed me with his run recording good speed figures at the recent Cheltenham hunter chase meeting. Stake [Total,1pt] NO RETREAT 0.25pt Win @ 4.7. 0.75pt Place @ 1.56 [both Betfair]
  6. Re: Hunter Chase Season Cheers Lads Aintree [8.10] NO Bet! Should be exciting jumping these stiff fences.Favourite Cloth of Gold looks solid, but very short around the 11-8 mark.
  7. Re: Hunter Chase Season Ludlow [7.10] NO Bet.The Nicholls horse will be favourite and will either win or tail off! At better odds Cider Man and Enitsag are worth a second look.
  8. Re: Hunter Chase Season Hi Perth [5.05] Looks a straight match between the veteran Swiftway and the young buck Prioritisation. But current odds on both not high enough to entice me to bet. Back at 6pm looking at the Ludlow race
  9. Re: Hunter Chase Season Hi Exeter [4.00] NO Bet Havnt had time to really look at the race in depth.Talking though to some of the Point pundits at Huntingdon last night,a decent run is expected from Frontenac.
  10. Re: Hunter Chase Season Hi NO Recommended bets for Tuesday Im going to Huntingdon tonight, and wont decide to bet till then. My thoughts though are Hereford [2.40] Think Chasing the Bride will Win,as hold up tactics suited well last time. Huntingdon 5.45 Difficult opener, with a number of horses in with a realistic chance.Coole Glen will appreciate the fast ground though, and shouldnt be to far away. 6.45 Findmeanother appeals Each/way as is proven over CD 7.15 Really looking forward to this race.Favourite Martin Ossie excited me when winning a point at Easter, and will be hard to beat. But Coomakista the mare is interesting getting the weight, and outsider Franco is improving. 7.45 Looks a match between Tanager and Vinnie Boy.
  11. Re: Hunter Chase Season 3rd Profit:0.30pt:tongue2 Ongoing Profit/Loss: + 14.10 Back next week
  12. Re: Hunter Chase Season Hello Warwick [8.20] Im looking forward to this race.Silence Reigns will be very popular, but Im happy to take it on with An Capall Dubh.My favourite jockey Richard Burton who likes the horse rides and I also think this promising horse will appreciate the drying ground, and get us back on the right track. Stake [2.5pts total] AN CAPALL DUBH 0.50pt Win @ 2.68. 2pts Place @ 1.4 [both Betfair]
  13. Re: Hunter Chase Season Unseated Rider:@ Loss:1pt Ongoing Profit/Loss: + 13.80
  14. Re: Hunter Chase Season Hi Wincanton [7.25] Between the promising Mollycarrs Gamble, and Mulllensgrove who has been unlucky to come up against the brilliant Mister Friday the last twice. Stake MULLENSGROVE 1pt Place @ 1.77 [betfair]
  15. Re: Hunter Chase Season The Butterwick Kid:Won Strongtrooper:Last Loss:1pt:eyes Ongoing Profit/Loss: + 14.80
  16. Re: Hunter Chase Season Evening Wetherby [7.55] Two horse race in my view. The Butterwick Kid has been targeted for this race for a while,is getting on but should run his race on a track that suits. Strongtrooper has taken well to pointing, and his jumping has really improved. Stakes [1pt total] 0.50pt Place @ 2.06 [betfair] STRONGTROOPER 0.25pt Reverse Exacta: THE BUTTERWICK KID/STRONGTROOPER
  17. Re: Hunter Chase Season Result 3rd Profit:0.22pt;) Ongoing Profit/Loss: + 15.80
  18. Re: Hunter Chase Season Couldnt agree more Joe. Trouble is the situation will get worse. As tracks under pressure from the bookmakers are starting to cut down on the hunter chase races,as they dont attract the punters in the betting shops. So having a runner trained by someone Joe bloggs knows like Paul Nicholl"s,is seen as a good thing.
  19. Re: Hunter Chase Season Hi Fakenham [4.35] Competive enough race, some decent judges expect bold shows from Bush Hill Bandit and Derrintogher Yank.Im taking a Place chance on the old timer Upham Lord, who is reliable and shouldnt be to far away if reproducing recent form. Stake UPHAM LORD 0.25pt Place @ 1.91 [betfair]
  20. Re: Hunter Chase Season 4th:spank Loss:0.25pt Ongoing Profit/Loss: + 15.58 Back Wednesday at 1pm
  21. Re: Hunter Chase Season Evening Exeter [7.45] Be surprised if the winner fails to come from Smart Cavalier,Raregem or Nickit.Think the latter with Polly Gundry appeals the most, but concerned about whether he handles the heavy ground. But likes the track, and could be worth a small bet,to finish in the 123. Stake NICKIT 0.25 Point Place @ 1.79 [betfair]
  22. Re: Hunter Chase Season Afternoon Sedgefield [4.25] NO Bet Difficult race to consider a bet in.Competive but an outsider who is one of only a couple of horses on an upward curve, who could go well is Natural. Back tomorrow @ 6pm
  23. Re: Hunter Chase Season WON [9-4]:clap Profit to Recommended Stakes:1.35pts Ongoing Profit/Loss: + 15.83 Back Monday,just after 1pm
  24. Re: Hunter Chase Season Evening Two nice races tonight at Hexham 7.25 The unbeaten Benbeoch is a worthy favourite, but short odds now main opponent Tinarana Lord is a Non Runner 8.25 I like Red Rampage. He is still capable of holding his own in Handicaps, and is back in the right class and over his best trip tonight. Stake [Total,1.25pts] RED RAMPAGE 0.25pt Win @ 4.2 1pt Place @ 1.55 [both Betfair]
  25. Re: Hunter Chase Season Evening Bangor [7.45] NO Bet! Burton is an interesting jockey booking for the youngster Another Club Royal. But race to watch rather than risking your hard earned cash. Back same time tomorrow.
