  1. adding...Xaario Trained in France as a juvenile by Pia & Joakim Brandt who thought the colt was special but he only won one of his 3 races But the owner has now sent him to a trainer of whom I greatly admire David Menuisier, and I would be more than hopeful he will find the key to this grey
  2. With the flat turf season not too far away, I have been spring cleaning my tracker and only keeping horses that excite me when thinking about their their future...like Derab Abdullah colt trained by Gosden who ran a nice debut in a hot Ascot maiden last autumn
  3. I played at 20-1 again when the Trainer spoke positive words about the horse on telly before the race. Good point though about the extra place prices overnight and early morning especially on a market which like the Meydan one would not have much volume to it.
  4. No I got paid at 14’s as Sky and 365 do not pay BOG on extra place races
  5. WON @ 20-1! Always pays to be patience in this game
  6. Punted into favouritism again, but an X rated ride by the jockey
  7. I see Eastern World is spending the winter in Dubai and runs tomorrow [3.15] Though Buick is on the Fav, worth chancing our horse at double figure odds [Taken 14's] Each Way [six places] @ 12-1 Skybet
  8. Opening 7-1 with Bet 365 did not last long...took the each way Now 11-2
  9. Silastar runs tomorrow at Chantilly [1.50]
  10. Will not run at the Festival as had "small setback"
  11. Good luck today 2.00 Newcastle-Captainofthebounty Each Way [4 places] @ 28-1 Skybet Been disappointing but has a race in him
  12. Handicap entries not out yet
  13. Did not get in, and probably see him next at Cheltenham
  14. At The Acorn is a reserve for the big handicap chase in Ireland on Sunday [4.10] Books taking no chances, only 12-1
  15. Next month the flat turf season starts and a Trainer that I expect to do well is Alan King who though better known for being a NH man is year by year getting more involved on the level and his horses tend to go off under priced. I liked a few of his juveniles last year and have a few of them in my tracker like.... Forever William Finished 3rd on only run at Leicester after missing the break and being outpaced, well as showing greenness. Will win over middle distances for sure and has been gelded which King likes to do with his nice prospects
  16. Interesting to see the horse has a entry for the Betfair Hurdle next month Have risked a small each way investment at 25-1 with Bet 365
  17. Nice ride by Benoit to Win on Show Me A Sunset, and good interview afterwards when he confirmed his dad who is now a top work rider got him the ride...
  18. yes two good chances, like the Fanshawe horse best as he has close ties with the stable [dad works there]
  19. Good luck today 4.00 Lingfield-Passing Nod @ 100-30 Bet 365 Mentioned the other day how much I rated his jockey. and the 7-1 yesterday was too tempting to ignore
  20. Anyone looking to follow a flat apprentice jockey over the next few months need to remember this name... Benoit de la Sayette Only 18 but already a star on the pony circuit and the fact is now under the tutelage of the legendary John Gosden tells you all you need to know Has already from only 8 rides ridden three winners and his current 7lb claim is a licence to print money!
  21. Sea Ducor Is a Irish trained Handicap hurdler who I think has a big pot in him this winter Has won on the flat and then after winning his novice hurdle ran a big race when 2nd in a decent handicap over Christmas In my opinion he is still unexposed and ahead of his rating, would not be a great surprise to see him plunder a big festival handicap if the Irish are allowed to come over in March
  22. Interesting debut run Went off a well backed Fav, but jinked leaving the stalls and was last early on but ran very free for first half of the race Jockey seemed to accept the situation in the home straight deliberately not switching the horse out wide to challenge but decided to educate him by bringing the colt through the middle under hands and heels to finish a close up 7th beaten about 3 lengths Winner waiting to happen!
