We continue on for May with the Punters Lounge £150 added Poker League, running for 4 weeks on Wednesday nights.
The £150 added by PL is shared between the top 3 in the league at the end of the month. Games start at 8.10pm, with a 20min late registration period on top of this.  All games are played in the PokerStars Home Games PL Poker Club. 
The format is a NLHE 3000 chip tourney in Legs 1 & 2 and a 5000 chip NLHE for final leg.   Leg 3 is our PLO Leg with 5000 chips.
 > Leg 1 : Wednesday 4th May at 20.10 BST in the PL Poker Club Home Game - NLHE 3000 chips
 > Leg 2 : Wednesday 11th May - NLHE 3000 chips
 > Leg 3 : Wednesday 18th May - PLO 5000 chips
 > Leg 4 : Wednesday 25th May - NLHE 5000 chips - (double entrants in points formula)**
Buy in is $5.50 per leg.
Your top 3 scores of the 4 legs will count towards your league total. We will be using the usual PL poker league format, which will be updated in this thread. (The PokerStars own league scores will not be used.) Formula is -Log(position/Entrants)x100
To help boost numbers overall and in particular in the final leg we are continuing the system of doubling the number of entries used in the calculation in leg 4 (**so if 10 entries the formula will use 20 entrants). This will increase the number of points available in the final leg to make it more competitive.
All members are welcome, however you must post in this thread if asked to let us know your forum username, otherwise your placings and scores cannot be included in the league.  New players are always welcome to join in, so please spread the word and invite your friends to the forum so we can keep the weekly numbers up.

What a lovely post to see. Graham would be proud to know he is remembered. He loved Punters Lounge passionately, and would want everything to carry on and move forward. There is no better legacy than leaving behind work that is built on and taken forward by others for the future. Thank you all for your support and kindness, it is invaluable.

It seems crazy to think that a whole year has gone since our beloved admin BillyHills aka Graham Sarson tragically passed away. Graham is still remembered very fondly here. Even now we still hear positive things about him either through personal memories members have shared or members expressing the influence he had on their own lives or this forum itself.
On a personal note, I know that Punters Lounge isn't the same without Graham but I think he'd be proud of the legacy he has left. 12 months may have passed but Graham still remains in our hearts and the influence he had on the place you see now is still very much clear. We thought it was only appropriate that we posted some words up one year on so that people can take time to remember Graham and so that his wife Suzy and his family know that we are all still thinking of them during this difficult time.
BillyHills may no longer be with us but he is still very much in our memories and in our thoughts. ❤️

Logged into my PokerStars account for first time in months and have 3 Free Spin&Go tickets. Might have been around a while, so you may have already seen and used them or maybe just for inactive accounts? don't know.

This month we are again trialing a bounty game in our format in Leg 2.  League points will be calculated only on finishing position, and bounty payouts will be made according to PokerStars normal rules.  This month is a Progressive Bounty (your own bounty increases by 50% of the bounties you collect).  We will review popularity of the two formats after this.  Leg 1 and 4 are standard NLHE, and Leg 3 is our PLO Leg.

League Table

Bounty games on Stars are called Knockouts. They split the prize pool, half to the pool (top 3 etc) and half on bounty. I've set it up as a Progressive Knockout so if you're knocked out half your bounty goes to the person who knocks you out, and half gets added to the bounty on that person's head. I've made it $3.30 as it's 'fun' week.
There is no added money for this   (unless someone is putting some up )

It's been a long time since I frequented these parts.
How long has my ban been lifted? you should have told me lol.
That's not important I suppose as I've only passed by to pay my respect but was surprised I was able to login after all these years.
RIP, nobody deserves to die at such a young age, same too with Kompressaur and Mickeypaul who made PL the place it once was, they were part of the jigsaw that made this place so attractive to Paul.
Whatever happened is all water under the bridge now since Pauls passing but I do have a feeling they may continue that argument in another dimension?
PL was here before Paul and I hope it's a success after Paul, this forum was built on more than one man, if you forget that then you may as well close the doors now.
May they all find peace and I wish you the best for the future.

I'm very sad to hear this. I worked with Paul for years and he was a terrific guy. Great to work for, always paid early and compensated very generously. He was courageous and defiant in the face of this battle. Just talked to him a couple of weeks ago and he was in great spirits, talking about his plans for the future of the site. This is all very sad and unexpected. My sincere condolences to his family.

Absolutely gutted. Worked last night when news hit me and I was actually wearing PL T shirt. Thank you for great memories and your generosity. RIP mate.

I have been given the sad duty to announce that the owner of Punters Lounge Paul Ross, better known to many as Sir Puntalot passed away in hospital last night after losing his battle with Cancer. He was 45 years old.
I have known Paul for nearly 20 years and many of the members got to meet him at various PL Race days and Poker tournaments.
He was a very good friend to me and was always there on the end of the Phone, Skype, Slack etc....
Paul was very straight forward and always strived to make Punters Lounge the best betting site on the internet, he knew this day was coming and has a team in place to carry on the good work and as he would say, its business as normal.
The funeral will be next week sometime which will be a small family affair due to the Coronavirus situation.

Thank you to everybody, whether you came to play or drink. It was fabulous to catch up with everyone.
Massive thanks to Genting Casino at Resorts World and especially Rich and all his staff at the Poker Room.  The tournaments ran like clockwork and we had an impressive turnout, something like 17 for the PLO and 24 for NLHE.   And of course even more massive thanks to Paul and PuntersLounge for the added value.

Keeping the trophy within the family but beating the old man heads up would be a pretty epic outcome, going to be a tough field, but you never know!
