  1. Re: 10K INVESTMENT IN BFAIR V ISA BigBapper1973 ... I guess the way to silence the doubters is to post a screenshot of your last 10 bets say from whichever bookie you use. Until you do that anyone can post fun bets on here which is fine, but you say your project uses real £££ .... If you don't post the screenshot then people will assume the former applies :)

  2. Re: Warning - New Licensing Legislation Affecting UK Players on non-UK Sites I haven't posted for a while as poker has taken a back seat for a bit. I have tried to get all my balances withdrawn on sites i either don't trust or seem set to go to the great poker graveyard in virtual heaven. I saw on here about pokerstars and winamax etc so converted some "miles" on the latter and got €3 ..... I played a PLO €2 game and won €50 so all was good. I have tried to withdraw said money and firstly got a message saying the Nationwide had refused the funds !! - I spoke to Nationwide and they said no such refusal is noted ! I withdrew yesterday and they have just returned funds to account without even letting me know !! I have sent numerous emails include one translated to French to [email protected] and .com - no replies. They have no telephone number just an address to write to ......... Now with 1st November approaching ......... ************** SUCCESS - the power of Punters Lounge ;) ..... after 10 minutes of posting they finally replied and said they need the BIC code not the SWIFT code ..... at least they told me !!!! *******************

  3. Re: Poker Player Mag. Grand Prix 8 / Winamax: next leg Mon.25th Movember NLHE

I might be able to play if you want to put my name forward DK, no idea where I finished in the league, only live about 30 mins by car from aspers and I'm free saturday at the mo. Might pop into the casino Sat for a drink with plers and roulette otherwise anyway :)
Sent PM mate but .... "Thanks for letting us know Colin – we will offer your place to the next person on the leaderboard"

When I played the Coral Xmas Cracker the tube trains didn't start until approx 6am i think ..... that was a long night watching american college soccer and the ashes (groans) ..... there was still 200 odd people at least doing the same !! Bizarre :) It says membership not required but when I got there the poker team told me to get a card from the area next to the cloakroom by the entrance. Best to take id just incase :)
  5. Re: Heniek Santa stake to Coral Aspers Xmas Cracker 14th of Decenber (SOLD OUT)

I'm really sorry, but it didn't work out this time. When you sit at the table with 25k and you see all in and a call in the 3rd hand on the 8 high flop A8 v 77, you know this going to be total crap shot. We had old git who played everything and called most of raises. I think I saw him fold pre flop first time in the 6th level. He was even calling 3-bets with 23, 93, 37, anything. I had AK x4 in the first few levels and got rags on the flop every time. I think in the first 4 levels I won 2 pots. And they were split pots lol. I lost 2 huge pots very early in the game. Hit nut straight on the flop and old git called me all the way to the river and outdrawn me. In other hand I raised with AJ and old git called me with 64. He called me all the way to the river on the board A 4 2 x only to hit 4 on the river. It was just nothing going my way and at 300/600 I was down to 6k :$. Then at 400/800, old git limped in as usual and I shoved for 5k with AJ. He had about 6.5k behind and called me with K9o ffs. But I took it down. I went to dinner break with 12k. 1st hand after dinner break I'm in SB (at 500/1k). Now, BB is not back from the break and it's folded to the button who of course raises to take dead chips. I look down on AJ and shove, knowing I got him. He calls me with Q10. Nothing on the table till Q hits the river. That just summed up my day. Apologies once again :(.
Unlucky Hen, I sympathise mate. I know normally within 30 minutes how my day is going to go and I think you probably felt the same. At least we ended up with a profit from the expenses so not all bad :)
  6. Re: Heniek Santa stake to Coral Aspers Xmas Cracker 14th of Decenber (SOLD OUT)

Structure looks good' date=' Hope you smash it Hen :ok[/quote'] It was a good structure Spitvenom, I played last night and came 54th of 131 starters, I never got above 27500 and was card dead for 2 hours after the first break, which against constant raisers with alot of chips is hard. Only 28 went through to Sunday and with 3,275,000 chips in play I didn't think my 14000 I had left after blinds and antes killed me, was going far so I got them in with 77 and was destroyed by QQ. It was a great night all in all. I have wished Hen better luck than I had :)

  9. Re: Daily MTT winnings October 2013 - $$$$$ only please $228.96 I don't post on here normally but having been reduced to just 159 chips the poker gods, (who owed me big time !) , delivered big time and I was on 481000 , CL with 5 left. Its not a one chip scenario per se but I am glad I didn't sit out when down to nothing nearly ! tgj6.jpg zcm9.jpg 6d6n.jpg

  10. Re: Sunday Storm and The Big $11 That's spot on advice from herbert10 , Lewis , I noticed you are getting in the top 20% in really large fields .... build on that as per the advice above with smaller fields and aim for consistent top 10% finishes ie in the money .... then top 5% etc , etc. This involves (taking advice from Negreanu and Hellmuth to a degree) , small pot poker early on and rarely getting all in without the nuts obviously :). If you intermix that with your own ideas and ability you will consistently go deep - remember patience is the number one piece of advice to remember. If you are stuck as to whether to call or fold , then just work out your chances of getting a better spot and whether you think you can recover in relation to chip stack/BB's. Basic advice but maybe someone like Washman can add to this ;)

  11. Re: Sunday Storm and The Big $11 ps1w.jpg 1. This is not designed to question your intentions or integrity 0Magic14 but more to serve as a way of informing and protecting potential backers and to help you avoid appearing on the staking blacklist ! 2. In addition to what Washman said , I notice since I checked quite a while ago that you have now opted out of Sharkscope as above so (a) You are winning so much you don't want people to see how good you are (I understand that concept) or (b) You aren't a profitable player (only a small proportion are so no problem there) and you don't want people to see that ..... the only problem is that some backers look at stats before staking. From the stats that are available you fall into point (b) and only you know the reason why you opted out. Its a free country but I think others will see my point. Its not the small stakes that is the problem per se ..... If you win big then I for one would be less than confident of getting a return paid out to be honest. I don't know how you have got staking so far on all known stats and what Washman has said , that's up to the mods and the backers :) To be fair both ways , I know you didn't play on Saturday in your defence as records confirm that .... but you aren't making it easy for yourself. 3. Hopefully this harsh advice is helpful.

  12. Re: 888 Poker Exchange rates ripoff "$465.33. At the time i requested this it was worth £305.50p" That equates to an exchange rate of £1 to $0.6565 which would seem reasonable I agree Rhino_Power. However when I got hold of 888 they said that it relates obviously to the bank rate on the day seemingly with Barclays if I remember right from their point of view. If you put that $465.33 back in today @ 0.6816 then it would cost you £317.17 to do that !!! The best is if you deposit $50 say , to get a freeroll ticket for a $2000 tournament .... so @ 0.6816 = £34.08 and then withdraw @ 0.625 (The real w/d figure) = £31.25 so that "freeroll" actually costs £2.83 ...... If you fall for the deposit $200 and "bonuses" that they offer (lol) the freeroll costs £11.32 in effect !!! When I withdrew it was a 0.625 rate and it cost me £22. I withdrew from 32red the other day and their w/d rate was 0.67 but at least I knew what I was getting .... 888 show deposit $ rate but not on w/d ...even what it was at close the day before ...I wonder why .... a huge difference. We all know about the huge difference in rates , like glceud and Rhino_Power we either take the hit and w/d or play on knowing what will happen if we have a big win. Nothing will change :( Ultimately it feels like when you go abroad and then on return they buy back considerably less .... except 888 seem different to every other poker site as RP said .... doesn't make sense.

  13. Re: Sunny Sunday 7/4/13 Don't feel guilty Bart , for your benefit only he won a couple of SS 2nd Aniv sats on the 03/04 ..... up to him obviously but he had the $11 entry twice and spent it on other tournies. Thats poker so you should feel better ;) http://pokerprolabs.com/iamthebes578/PokerStars

Hi Magic, Sorry I feel really guilty for closing your staking request and did think about using more discretion on this occasion but hope you appreciate the reasons why we have guideline staking rules inforce. Not sure what level sngs you usually play, but there are a lot of quite small buyin satellites to the Storm running at the moment (from $0.10 rebuy or $1 freezeout upwards) Maybe you could try a shot at 1 or 2, but ofcourse stay within brm and don't go spoiling your main sng funding by doing so. Edit: Also fpp buyin sats from memory, but can't check at moment.
