I do find threads like this strange. So you’re basically questioning Punters Lounge integrity and are we making the results up?
There are a ton of members using the tips in different ways and if we published incorrect results, they’d jump all over us and rightly so.
Unlike so many other sites, we publish full results. Other sites just shout about winners, because they’re losing long term.
Profits go up and down, that’s the nature of betting.
Please also remember, our record is better than any other out there and the tips are completely free.

Sir Puntalot reacted to Trotter in What does running off the bridle mean?
The 'bridle' is the gear, leather straps etc, around the horses head which attach to the reins and allows the jockey to control the horse
You must consider that for 9/10ths of the race the jockey's job is to slow the horse down and save his energy for the business end of the race
A horse that is running 'on the bridle' is still being held back from going full speed by the jockey's hold on the reins
A horse that is running 'off the bridle' is one where the jockey has had to let go of his tight hold and allow the hose to run faster than the jockey ideally wants at the stage of the race. Generally this would be because he's struggling to keep up with the other horses that are still being ridden on the bridle. He's using up his energy to stay with the pack
Being ridden 'off the bridle' is generally a bad thing because it means the horse is generally going as fast as he can but will be overtaken or left behind in the finish by the horses that are still on the bridle and will  go faster when the jockey loosens his hold
At the end of the race most horses will be 'off the bridle' because the sprint for the line is on
As always there are some exceptions
Some horses are just what we consider lazy and need to be pushed and shoved along by the jockey most of the time...…. these will be described as 'off the bridle' but it's just the way they always run and even if held on to will tend not to find much extra when let off the bridle
Sometimes a horse will win very easily and never come 'off the bridle'' ….. the commentators will get very exciting about this because it leads to the thought that they could run a lot faster if the jockey let them off the bridle. You'll hear descriptions like 'he won hard held' ' the jockey had a double handful' …… both mean that the horse won even though the jockey was still holding him back
Double handful = two hands pulling tightly on the reins to stop the horse going faster

    Cristofer Rosales wins by KO/TKO/DQ @2.35 5dimes 5/10
Rosales is a beast. I watched his last two fights and he developed so well since losing to Selby last year. Edwards has a padded record, he's a solid boxer but he hasn't the best punch resistance, Casimero who has a similar style compared to Rosales ko'd him and i think Rosales is more dangerous as he throws very very accurate and his body shots are crucial.
Dereck Chisora wins by KO/TKO/DQ @7 Ladbrokes 2/10
Chisora looks in great shape at the weigh in today, has almost the same weight as vs. Takam but his physique is much more impressive, that's the David Haye factor. Haye did the same with Joe Joyce who looked a bit flubby but turned into a strong and compact composition in short time period. Chisora is a beast and i think he won the first fight vs. Whyte on the cards, i had him winning the fight with 1 round. I think Whyte is always a matchup that brings out the best in Chisora. That was probably the best performance by Chisora ever and it was shame he was robbed in the end. Chisora knows he might get robbed again so i think he will try to be more aggressive especially in the later rounds as Whyte is always tiring late like he did vs. Parker where he was nearly stopped in the last round. I think this might be a tactic for Chisora who should be in awesome condition as Haye is probably the best coach you can have to be in shape and fit in the late rounds as he always was in his prime.
    Liam Williams @2.65 5dimes 4/10
I don't know what to think about Heffron. He only fought bums so far and is hyped a lot, also has a good looks so he is easy to sell. We'll find out soon as Liam Williams is a hell of an opponent for a guy who almost has zero experience on that level. Williams is powerful and experienced and was never stopped in a legit way.
    Senad Gashi @13.50 5dimes 3/10
Takam lost 3 of his last 5 fights and was brutally KOd by Chisora recently. He is old and you never how how he reacts to those kind of losses. On the other side Gashi is a damn tough mf to say it. He has an iron chin and always going forward to brawl, this could be a really good fight and if Gashi hurts him i think he will finish him off as he has a killer instinct.
    Joshua Buatsi by KO/TKO/DQ x Nathan Gorman by KO/TKO/DQ x Carl Frampton = @2.55 William Hill 4/10
Solid parlay. Can't see Buatsi and Gorman going the distance. Frampton vs. Warrington might be closer on the cards than it really is but Frampton is just one level above i think. Frampton vs. Santa Cruz 3 in 2019 should be a lock.

I think you’re overthinking it. Tipster services that you’re talking about are paid services and more importantly have very few selections. This means it’s easy for bookies to shorten those to minimise risk, but with our tips, it’s almost impossible because of the amount of tips.

It does happen, but it's dependant on how you've been betting. Ladbrokes and Coral are the same company these days too.

    1. Why put all your money with one bookmaker ? Spreading it around gives you a chance of accessing better odds if Bet365's are not so good.
    2. Why not start off with a much lower level of stake - say £2 then increase as you are profitable at each level. So be profitable at £2 then go up to £3, be profitable at £3 and then go up to £4 and so on until you get to a level of £20; thereafter increase stakes by reference to a percentage of your bank, say 1/250. That way if you are losing early on you lose a lot less and if you are winning you can acquire the confidence necessary to be a successful punter in the long run.

I think Alastair has hit it on the head there. Going on the profitability alone of PL tips I'd be using big stakes but as happened last month, there was a bad month. This is what we can't predict so a bank of 300pts+ would be my personal preference. When I started backing PL tips I caught them at a good time, quickly making £1,000+ from £7 bets, I could have easily lost the same amount. From there I went up to £10 and then £12.50 within the space of 3 months, making sure I made a decent profit at each staking level. That's my two cents

Then I'd suggest you do some research on betting banks and staking plans, because with that amount of tips you need a reflective bank/staking or you could get wiped out.

@Robinmgb I think it's probably best to paper trade them for a while to work out what is best for you. Lots of members use them in different ways. We do intend to add such things as filters so you can search, what strike rate a certain price range is amongst other things, but it will be well into 2019 before we get to that.
I'm the Managing Director of Punters Lounge, so I'll always respond to threads like these as will @BillyHills who is our horse racing tipster. Unfortunately, we get a few trolls here and there who want to somehow find negatives and your post did come across that way. I do realise that's not the case now, so I'd suggest being careful with stakes as there's a LOT of tips and if you're backing every single one blindly, you'd need a huge bank.
We don't advise staking plans/starting banks because people do use them in different ways.

    Thabiso Mchunu vs. Thomas Oosthuizen
    Thomas Oosthuizen @ 1.83 Intertops 4/10
This is a rematch for the African Boxing Union Cruiserweight Title and South African Cruiserweight Title. The first fight ended in a Majority decision for Oosthuizen (115-113, 115-113, 114-114). The scorecards were pretty tight but in my opinion Oosthuizen was dominating the fight and won a close but clear decision. Considering the fact that Oosthuizen was out for 16 months with some really bad stuff happened before they fought on September 1st this year i expect a even better version of Oosthuizen for the fight today. Oosthuizen was dominating the first fight from the distance with his jab, he had a very solid game plan and Mchunu as always had huge problems with the southpaw stance. Mchunu having five losses on his record now and all losses were vs. southpaw opponents: Oosthuizen, Bejenaru, Usyk, Mwekassa and Makabu. This is a pattern. Sometimes orthodox fighters have huge problems vs. left handed opponents and i think this is the case with Mchunu who is definitely solid and a good boxer but for a reason he wasn't able to deal with good southpaw opponents. As i wrote Oosthuizen was a bit rusty in the first fight and still was able to dominate although the judges scored it close, i definitely can see wider cards today.

    Josh Kelly vs. David Avanesyan
    Under 9.5 rounds @ 1.80 The Greek 7/10
Kelly is one of the biggest prospects at 147 lb, i think he might be a future superstar, of course it's a strong division but Kelly has everything in his game to be a world title winner one day. I think Avanesyan is a good step up here but i doubt the guy will do anything special here. Avanesyan coming back from a stoppage loss to Kavaliauskas earlier this year. Kavaliauskas stopped him in the sixth round and i don't know why Kelly should not repeat that?! I think Kelly with his working rate, power and variety should be too much to handle. I think we'll see a mid round stoppage between 5-7.

I did point out to you that there was a losing run of £6,000 during April / May 2018 so the chances of losing runs of £800+ are quite likely.
Those horses at less than 4/1 have not made a profit.
Personally I back each way selections where extra places are available from the bookmakers and I've made good profits.

Agree with virtually everything you've said there @opole but I just think Joshua is underrated as a boxer. Stiff - agreed, but hand speed is under-estimated. I think it would be close and as you say Usyk moving up and others coming, it's great to see the heavyweight division buzzing again.

Very solid and fair resume, i fully agree here.
I had Fury winning with 10-2 rounds, arguably it was something like 9-3 or even 8-4 but Fury won despite being knocked down twice.
Fury boxed his head off and toyed with him most of the time. Fury was in great shape and i have absolutely no idea how he survived the second knockdown but it showed what i always knew: Tyson Fury is the best Heavyweight out there. There is nobody gonna beat the man. I mean let's face the truth...he was probably at 60-70% of his prime version yesterday. He was good, he was really good but he could be even better. Give him another couple of months, a good training camp and maybe one or two fights vs. softer opposition (not quite the soft opposition like Seferi or Pianeta lmao) and he will rule the division again and take all the belts. A stiff roboter like Joshua won't get the job done and Wilder in a rematch won't do it too as Fury will be in even better shape there. Wilder looked more gassed in the end than Fury lol...
Rewatch the last round. What the hell did Fury after getting knocked down? He dominated the rest of the round and was trying to brawl and landed heavy shots on Wilder...unreal stuff
We can look forward to 2019. The HW Division is living!!!! Usyk moving up, Fury back, Wilder exposed as a guy who can be defeated (arguably was beaten last night) and another couple names on the radar like Whyte, Chisora, Ortiz, Parker + really good prospects like Hunter, Joyce and all the other guys....2019 will be a burner. IF they are making good fights. Let the best fight each other.

In my own opinion, not a recommendation:
I backed up what @Sir Puntalot says.
Also, no one comes to following tips expecting to loss, but with regards of a healthy betting behaviour only stake what you are willing/able to loss without affecting your life in any way. Therefore for a daily £20, just multiply it for the amount of days willing to do it.

As everyone uses the tips in different ways, we don't suggest a staking plan or starting bank. What we suggest is to paper trade them for a while to see how you prefer to utilise them, rather than diving straight in.

    Jeff Horn wins by KO/TKO/DQ @ 2.05 Bet365 3/10
    1) Mundine is shot to pieces in my opinion, i watched his last three fights and he looked old and slow.
    2) He only fought three times in three years. Not a good sign being inactive like that at age 43.
    3) Mundine has a glass jaw. Tommy Browne rocked him big in the first round but Mundine was able to recover well and knocked Browne out in the second round.
    4) Horn has to step back with a strong win here after getting dominated and destroyed by Bud Crawford recently. I think he will be very motivated especially as Mundine was talking some trash as usual.

Buoyed by yet another great year following the PL Horse Racing Tips, I've decided to take the plunge and start my own ratings system - don't worry BH, your job's safe
I like to concentrate on the AW handicaps because the going doesn't really change and the horses usually are a pretty exposed bunch - I could say other things but I won't
Anyway, starting bank is 1,000 pts and each bet is 1% of the current bank, all bets @ BFSP (-5% commission). We'll kick things off with Southwell on Tuesday, a favourite track of mine, the fibresand throws up a decent amount of surprise winners and I hope to post the odd one or two:
12:10 Southwell The Lock Master 10pts
    2:10 Southwell Lads Order 10pts
    2:40 Southwell Sandridge Lad 10pts
