Re: Tennis - The Australian Open (17-30 January)
Could you add some reasoning, mate?;)My bet is: Sergiy Stakhovsky -1.5 games Stanislas Wawrinka win Viktor Troicki v Novak Djokovic : over 34.5 games GL -
Re: Horse Racing £5000 - £25000 in a year. Yes, but you give people some time if they are not accustomed to it... and expect that they will get to grasp with things and listen;)

Re: Horse Racing £5000 - £25000 in a year.
JUst as Danny says, he only hinted here and there how profitable it was during the days of kamikadze staking. I pretty much doubt any profit would be made at level stakes (so far), the thing is that he won a lot with the last gasp/back to the wall bet and would probably dwell on that if anyone asked. I suspect you would never see a proper P/L figures here which is a pity as if you take your time to read through all the gloating and stuff, there might be something of interest for some.;)Only found this thread today. Very interesting. Anyone been keeping a profit and loss record just as a matter of interest? -
Re: Strategy that works That is correct especially with systems/success in high-profiel leagues and matches, like Grex's. A completely different kettle of fish with tips in minor league where the max bet at a bookie is 50 pounds or something like this. Also happens to minor sports.

Re: Argentine Copa Torneo de Verano » 2011 I suppose you have studied the game a bit. It seems that the River Plate manager has decided to rest some of the players (ahead of the derby with Boca) so I wouldn't be so quick off the blocks.;) BOL

Re: Conmebol Sudamericano Sub-20 / 2011 BTW, I noticed that at least some matches are shown live on Eurosport.;)

Re: Horse Racing £5000 - £25000 in a year. Sorry - it was the answer to post NO. 169 about the ir price.

Re: Horse Racing £5000 - £25000 in a year. Yes, but only about 2 euros matched at that price mate... In fact, there is no anger against you, but even in the glory hunters section you should keep the P/L AND count only what you advised BEFORE the race. Today, you claimed you had greened out on the first horse without even hinting, probably would claim the same about Boosha, and I suspect a similar scenario about the lay (well, this is the only way how you could have 4,600 or whatever in the bank after being down several thousand from the 5k betting bank). And, sorry, but claiming anyone following your picks (probably with the amounts) would be in a sunny place having a holiday now after several days of wild chasing which ended only by the bet you yourself said was a do or die is more then ridiculous. If I were you, I would - start using points system, doesn't matter if 1-10 or 1-10,000 - keep P/L - post the screenshots (or scans, but it looks like you no longer spread your bets across several high-street bookies, but use solely BF) you have been aksed several time Otherwise I'm afraid that your credibility will continue to suffer. Best of luck, mate;)

Re: Asian Cup
I would say Bahrain have a 90%+ chance of beating India as there is a large gap in class between the two teams. Added to this' date=' I think it may be an open game with both sides going for the win, which I think will help the more experienced Bahrain. India could score against Bahrain, but I think Bahrain should win by a 2-3 goal margin. Personally I will be watching the game and leave any bets I have until then.[/quote'] Then the overs market, ie over 3.5 may look tasty. I am not convinced that India can score and relying on a single team to score four is always a bit risky. This said, not sure I like anything today as the Australia match can go either way and !'m not a big fan of backing 1.1ish shots. -
Re: Asian Cup
I know but he should put in a bit more effort and write a few sentences why he thinks so (although it may look like a no-brainer).He means the handicap bet, I think: Bahrain to beat India by more than 2.5 goals -

Re: Horse Racing £5000 - £25000 in a year.
I don't wanna sound like criticising all the time, but how did you arrive at that 1k profit figure yesterday. I tried to count it yesterday and got the loss of some 1,400 quid (out of bets published here. It would really help to keep a P/L, even for yourself. Best of luck.Up to the start of yesterday i was -£3800, since Dec 30th. A profit of £1000 yesterday, -£2800 running total. My betting bank at starting was £10.000. -
Re: Stick to what you know! BOL, mate. I saw the first half on Saturday and have to say that starting Bendtner deep, he was more of a midfielder than an attacker, didn't help him and things (and your bet) much. I suspect it will be crucial where Wenger starts him on Wednesday and what tasks he will be given.

Re: Tennis - 9-16 January
I think it is possible acording to Sports-punter rules as one can take bookie odds and lay at them - some percentage is added to the price as far as I know. Agree that it is particularly mnisleading in events with onlz two possible outcomes, but these people post exactly the same thing here as on S-P to be eligible for a higher price.Yeah not sure about this laying either. Is it just for some competition? -

Re: Horse Racing £5000 - £25000 in a year.
You may well be right, mate. His last appearance here is exactly as the time of his last post reads so I suspect he was never coming back (if the sel lost as it did). Probably we wasted some time giving some well-meant advice:unsureHe'll be gone now. And spring back up under a new name as a so-called, stay at home "professional" Seems to be a lot of these guys on here at the mo :eyes -
Re: Horse Racing £5000 - £25000 in a year. Well, don't want to sound harsh, but I also fail to understand how you can bet for a living in this fashion. Several posts above you set a cap, max. bet, only to exceed it to unbelievable heights immediately after the following selection failed to win. I guess staying on and keeping to the simple rules you set - when it comes to staking - is the best way to stay disciplined. I hope you will be able to see at least the whole year out and not show the excesses like on the past two pages - which will only help as what looked like a very reasonable betting at the beginning turned to a mad chase of losses once the results didn't go the right way.:unsure I really don't wanna sound harsh, but this approach would earn you a heart attack soon;)
