Re: Czech Republic Gambrinus Liga 2010/2011 OK, the spring part will kick of at the weekend. I was thinking about backing Slavia to pick up a little bit in spring, but as a suprise their boss stepped down earlier today and the rep of the (not publicly known and I'm afraid the players are also in the dark) owner will be announced some time next months (!). Well, they sold all they could and still owe some players, not exactly backing material. PIlsen the hottest candidate to win the league and there is a huge gap in quality between them and their opponents. 1.36 may look low, but considering Pilsen are fit and fired up and HK don't presetn a real threat... Jablonec v Liberec is a local derby, and while the home side are faring much better this season, I wouldn't discount the draw at all. Well, Sparta - Ostrava are simply awful this season, but playing in Ostrava has never been easy, especially for Prague teams. Sparta sold the best striker, and judging by the preparatory matches and by the two matches vs. L'pool, they will probably struggle in front of goal, Kwuke is not such a natural born killer, especially when left as the only one up front. The match is on Monday, so SParta should be rested AND they need to start winning right now to be able to pursue Pilsen, but I'm not convinced they can do it this round. NOTE - It's pretty cold here now, -10 and lower temperatures at night, -5 at best during the day - it should be a bit warmer come Saturday, but don't expect footballing weather, rather something good for ice hockey - one of the reasons why I don't expect goals galore this round.;)

Re: three bet home favourites system I'm afraid you are getting pretty poor odds tonight - Stranraer avallable @ 1.73+ and Ayr @ 1.83+, this makes a huge difference between profit and loss in the long run. EDIT - after rereading the first post, neither price would fit your criteria (but I'm a bit confused as Ayr's price doesn't either). :hope

Re: Accumulator 3<4 :hope with it, mate, but honestly the staking looks suicidal.

Re: Club friendlies > 10th February :welcome to PL, betlaw. Good information in your first post. Hope we will often see you around.;)

Re: NHL - January 2011 picks :welcome to PL guys. Not a very fortunate start as A - reasoning is required, B - it's always better to give your thoughts first and not just come and ask for help. Anyway, I hope you will continue with better quality posts;) It is also to be noted that tonight is the first night after the All-Star game and especially the first week after the break tends to bring some weird results.

Re: Asian Cup Which is quite a reasonable approach. The sides are evenly matched so it can go either way (as any final) and the draw and ET is also not out of question. I have to say I wouldn't back the under 2.5 goals @ such a price. Right, the history of finals speaks clearly, but this holds true about all knock-out stages, and this year it proved to be quite profitable to back the overs for a change. It takes just a fluke goal in the first half and we may be in for a goalfest. Still, I expect the game to unfold very slowly so HT draw may be an option. Will think about it.;)

Re: Asian Cup
Well, I meant I'd made a mistake (inadvertently as I knew it was Iraq, but was thinking about more things at once), and it was not that bad - no sour grapes, honest;)Well said Tulenos...it's like brainstorming, the more ideas the better. There will be good and bad ideas but that doesn't matter, it is what comes out of those ideas. Apologies Tulenos if you felt I ripped you, did not mean to come across that way. -
Re: Asian Cup
Sorry! Wont do it again. I don't like posting in case someone actually listens to what I have to say' date=' I have no way near as much experience as anyone else here.[/quote'] Well, this is what a betting forum is about, isn't it - if you back your tip with a solid reasoning, someone might follow you, but it's still his/her decision and money. Don't be afraid - you could see I also made some mistakes above and got ripped to pieces, but I just stand corrected;) -
Re: Asian Cup And why didn't you post it here before KO:unsure This is called after-eventing and is considered bad manners on betting forums:spank

Re: Tennis - The Australian Open (17-30 January)
2.75 pretty poor odds, over 3 available and certainly has to be considered. Of course the Bryans should win it, but its sport B/P will do their best to get that one trophy that is still missing in their cabinet, and @ 3+? Yes, at least they will try hard. What does everyone think about the Bryan's vs. the Indian Express? Bhupathi & Paes (or at least the press) seems to be pushing the angle that they're going all out to win the one major they've never been able to win.....but they're not as young as they used to be either. All told the 2.75 odds on them seem pretty reasonable.... Thanks for any input you can provide, appreciate everyone's insight to date as well! -
Re: Asian Cup The complacency was meant just due to the big win, which often happens, not due to facing Japan.;)

Re: Asian Cup Didn't realise the automatic promotion thing. Anyway, 1.5 looks way too short for my liking.

Re: South America » Copa Libertadores :welcome to the new guys. Although I tend to agree that the 10/10 confidence rating may be misleading, some people give max. strength to their level stakes because these are Sport-Punter entries. It may be wise to check the performance of the tipster on the sister site (S/P) which will give you a better idea.

Re: Conmebol Sudamericano Sub-20 / 2011 They may well show it on Eurosport, but the schedule on that channel is rather erratic.

Re: NHL - January 2011 picks
Totse wow 10/10 strengh on every bet' date=' you must be confident? ;)[/quote'] He does it only because they are contest entries at SportsPunter and he does flat stakes (of max stakes allowed). I doubt it reflects the real confidence. -
Re: Asian Cup That will be it, 3rd place decider on Friday, final on Saturday. The Friday match will pretty much depend on who actually wants to win the match as it's a kind of meaningless affair. This said, I would side with the Uzbeks as for the motivation, but South Korea are definitely more compact, and the disastrous loss against the Aussies will no have helped the Uzbek confidence either. Australia or Japan? Once again, early thoughts. Japan have not been exactly cruising, but they did the business, got to the final, and as the holders will definitely want to win it again. I'm slightly afraid that the Aussies may be complacent a bit once they managed to ship six past the Uzbeks in the SF, but they were not exactly convincing during the tourney, the only good win was against minnows from India (Japan's wins were mostly also very slim, though, but they definitely played sterner opposition - and were nearly knocked out by Quatar).

Re: Laying the bottom NAPS
To be fair here, there were quite a few withdrawals in Orpenindeed's race which destroyed the prices, but then again the bottom tipsters often like to "end" their losing run by tipping an odds-on chance - and often fail again:loonDamn, Orpenindeed caused a serious damage in my bankroll, lol. :lol These guys must be joking. Tipping 1.29 favourite as Best Bet of The Day.. But it's not first I guess, right? They tipped a 1.16 favourite just a few days ago, lol. :rollin I think this system will be "+" over the long haul. :ok Good luck tomorrow.. -
Re: Giving something back to the forum +87.91pts January You sure you used the right emoticon after the P/L mate:unsure;), I guess you wanted the one close to it:ok. Anyway, some shorties beaten, the system seems to be working just fine at present. Keep it up:hope

Re: Asian Cup Uzbekistan should be backed at this price. Jordan showed virtually nothing while Uzbekistan seems to be one of the best teams here, and I don't think they will underestimate their opponent. Jordan won twice - against SA (no win in the whole tournament), and Syria (in a decider). Uzbekistan secured the palce in the QF early on so the draw in the last game can be ignored. They beat Quatar and Kuwait, drawing with China - also their group seemed to be more footballing, and therefore more difficult. The win is not guaranteed, of course, but I thing almost evens represent good value. On the other hand, I wouldn't undeeastimate Quatar. After a kick in the teeth from Uzbekistan, they won the rest of the matches well. They are also a host of the tournament and facing Japan, I expect they will play out of their skins. Japan superior, of course, but aso far they destroyed only demotivated SA (last group match), edged out Syria, and drew with Jordan. Iam contemplating a lay of Japan, in fact.
